From the Terminal Tower to Europeanstyle shopping arcades and an Art Deco bridge, Cleveland is steeped in Architectural history. The amount of detail and elegance found on historic buildings in the city has always inspired me. The Arcade was the first building listed on the National Register of Historic Places and it features ornate decorative metalwork which later was renovated to include Art Deco facades. This turn of the century style resonates with me as a designer. I like bringing elements from the past into modern interiors as there is a certain charm that those details bring to a space.

EXPERIENCE LIVING An Architectural Justice Publication Publisher James Justice Founder & President Editor Darlene Justice Creative Director Designer Jordyn Ellis Marketing Coordinator
When we received the opportunity to expand Trevarrow’s showroom by utilizing part of their existing warehouse, my mind immediately went to industrial Cleveland. The conversion from downtown factories into modern housing, along with architectural elements from industrial buildings and bridges were a driving force for our inspiration for this space. In this issue we hope to show you that a little inspiration can go a long way. Whether you are considering a new kitchen, wine room or just a great place to entertain, we hope that we have encouraged you to Experience Living in your own homes.

LUXURY APPLIANCE SHOWROOM, TREVARROW, INC. RECEIVES A STYLISH NEW SPACE DESIGNED BY ARCHITECTURAL JUSTICE When the leading Sub-Zero Wolf appliance distributor in Cleveland, Trevarrow, Inc., needed to expand their showroom, they trusted Architectural Justice to make it happen. Six new vignettes were created to display the newest lines from Sub-Zero, Wolf, Asko and Best products which include a Modern Industrial Kitchen, an Urban Chic Kitchen, a Wine Room, a Media Room, a Galley Kitchen and a Rooftop Kitchen. The design inspiration came from the surge in warehouse conversion housing in urban cities. Factory inspired windows, elevator doors, concrete panels and the use of columns and beams are incorporated throughout the space, enhancing the experience and authenticity of loft living which is in such high demand all over the world. The urban lifestyle inspired many elements of the design, including the metal leg supports on the island which were crafted and designed to resemble urban bridge trusses. Additional urban references include a kingpost inspired truss design on the Wolf range hood, and the wine room design was inspired by antique freight elevators. Each area flows from one space to another with the innovative use of materials including metal, wood, stone and brick, which are all present throughout the showroom. Mixing materials comes naturally for designers at Architectural Justice as they not only offer design services but also granite and stone fabrication, custom cabinetry, furniture and millwork, architectural metal design and fabrication, plus cast stone fabrication, all of which is done on-site in Medina, Ohio.

Today, Architectural Justice is one of the few establishments in Northeast Ohio that is able to recreate the traditions of the past by producing cast stone for fireplaces, range hoods, door surrounds, kitchen backsplashes, and more.
