Boxing to me is something that made me a better person, a more whole person. Training helped me at a time where I was lost, I didn’t know what was next for me. It taught me the values of the struggle and how to keep rolling with the punches life throws at you. Stepping in the ring is hard, it’s scary but once you do, you feel unstopable. I learned to pick myself back up and keep going. However with as much as you see during the spectacle that is the dance between the ropes, you never see what goes on to get to that point. The struggle the men and women go through to even step in the ring. This project was something I used to try and capture that experience of reaching the ring. You may feel lost at times but that is the same thing every athlete has struggled with and that is the idea behiend it. “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit.
