This project was an attempt to design a house for a young professional looking to move out of the city. The intent was to design a space for her to grow, entertain, and relax in her new outdoor space. One goal of the house was to project some of the indoor spaces into the outdoors, creating a connection between the nature around the home and the home itself. Her dream was to move outside the city and have a large home with many connections to nature, places for her family and friends to come over, and possibly even stay an extended period. The house has a great focus on entry, as well as the individual suites in the rear of the home. Each bed chamber has its own private outdoor courtyard space for reading, napping, or relaxing.
