MEET THE AR' CITY LIVE PROJECT TEAM About Ar' City Taking the concept of the Playable City, Ar’ City uses ‘creative tech’ interventions made by young people to prompt citizens to re-think everyday moments and form memorable shared experiences. Initially a means for young people in Sheffield to have a voice and express their perception of the city through art and design, the project has grown to become a 2-week festival launching in Sept 2019. Ar’ City Festival of Creativity is led by young people across the city, supported by local businesses and for all Sheffield folk. About The Live Project team This team of students from the University of Sheffield: School of Architecture worked on developing a proof of concept over 6 weeks / spending over 1500 hours developing this project in partnership with AALFY and other stakeholders. This work includes delivering and facilitating workshops with 48 young people, developing the Ar' City ideas bank, assessing possible hosting sites, prototyping and building some of the ideas. This resource bank was developed in order to support and inform all others exploring the playable city concept in Sheffield. Feel free to share with anyone that would benefit from this.
