Beyoncé wakes up at 6 am every morning to have quiet time alone before she starts her very busy day, even on Sunday! Afterwards she has breakfast, usually something fresh with fruit and cereal. Beyoncé is very healthy but sometimes she also enjoys fast food, like pizza. Every day she goes to the gym or swims, even when she is on tour! She also knows how to have fun and likes to paint, listen to music and loves to spend her holidays on a boat with her family.

Winter in Brazil

Hi, I’m Gabriela. I live in Curitiba, in the south of Brazil. People think it’s always warm and sunny in Brazil but this is not true. Winter in the south is very cold, temperatures may drop to 0° or less. Winter starts in June and finishes in September. I don’t like winter. Fortunately it doesn’t rain often; instead summer is very rainy. But on sunny days you can go to the beach, actually temperatures rise up to 30°. This season in Brazil starts in December and goes on until March. So I usually spend Christmas day sunbathing and swimming! If you come to Brazil during this period, don’t forget the umbrella!

olivia@hotmail.com Animal Farm

Dear Olivia, I’ve just finished reading Animal Farm, a book by George Orwell. I’m going to tell you the plot. The animals of the Manor Farm lived in a bad situation because their farmer, the brutal Mr. Jones, exploited them. One day the animals started a rebellion and took over the farm. Mr. Jones was forced to run away. The leaders of the revolt were two young pigs, the vivacious Snowball, and the cruel-looking Napoleon. They wanted to create a fair society made only by animals. Soon the leaders began to fight for leadership. One day Napoleon’s dogs attacked Snowball who ran away bleeding. Napoleon became the cruel dictator of the farm. He acted like Mr Jones, he had pity on nobody and exploited the other animals. The animals realised that nothing was changed. What is the last book you have read? I can’t wait to read the plot! Love, Tonia.
