The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) is your platform to voice quality-of-life issues, feedback, ideas, and suggestions. The Financial Readiness Program offers educational classes/seminars/Workshops, counseling and support services to assist Soldiers, their Families and DoD Civilians with their financial plan, debt management and wealth management.

One-on-one counseling and group education on personal finance is provided for Soldiers, Family members, and civilians in support of Unit Commanders, First Sergeants, FRGs, and more.

August is full of Financial Readiness observances, classes and activities for us.

8 August is National Dollar Day! This month Financial Readiness is partnering with Family Advocacy on a home craft project for your children to celebrate. Come by ACS to pick up a piggy bank for your child to decorate with a sheet of fun facts about the dollar for your children. Encourage savings at a young age!

14 August is National Financial Awareness Day! Financial Awareness Day is a great time to review where you are now and where you’re going financially. This month Financial Readiness classes on Camp Casey focus on two major milestones:

ARMY EMERGENCY RELIEF – HELPING THE ARMY TO TAKE CARE OF SOLDIERS

Army Emergency Relief (AER) provides emergency assistance to active duty service members, their families, and retired service members. AER is located in ACS, BLDG 2451. After normal duty hours - 0800-1600, on a weekend or holiday, Emergency Financial Assistance can be obtained from AER through the American Red Cross Call Center 1-877-272-7337 (or from DSN: 94 then 877-272-7337). Household Goods Lending Closet: Camp Casey ACS maintains basic household items for you to borrow for up to 30 days to help you get settled during your transition. At a minimum, you’ll find things like basic kitchenware, Blenders, Coffee Pots, George Foreman’s, Irons, Ironing boards and Microwaves in appropriate circumstances.

Permanent Party Soldiers and Civilians: Loans up to 30 days, Extensions will be granted for extenuating circumstances. Bring a copy of your orders, Select items for the list you would like to borrow. We will sanitize and prepare your items and you will be given an appointment date to pick up your items. Remember; Proper Sanitations will Save Lives!

Rotational Soldiers: Items are provided for the duration of your tour. Items MUST be returned prior to your departure to CONUS. Stop in to see what is available - ACS, BLDG 2451, USAG Casey

MFLC’s provide short term problem-solving, non-medical, situational, counseling services to Service Members and their families. Licensed counselors are available to meet individuals, couples, families or groups.

They are able to meet anywhere on base except the Barracks or your home.
