Gwangmyeong Cave

Gwangmyeong Cave, which opened in 1912, was the only metal mine in the metropolitan area of Seoul that had gold, silver, copper, and zinc. The abandoned mine, which had been used for storage of salted shrimp after it was shut down in 1972, was transformed into the country’s best cave theme park in 2015. There are a variety of things to enjoy such as Wind Road, which is full of LED-decorated flowers, an aquarium managed with the cave’s underground water, a cave art center where 350 people can sit and enjoy performances, a wine cave where you can taste local wine, Golden Road, where visitors can make a wish by hanging a golden plaque, and a lot more. You can bring your own lunch or Korean Won for food, snacks, and souvenirs. Outdoor Recreation will be opening the paintball field for open play! Bring a group of your friends down and challenge each other to several different types of game play. This field is a great place to learn and see if this game is for you.

FMWR ENTERTAINMENT/SPECIAL EVENTS PRESENT

Prizes will be awarded to the 1st place in the amount of $300, 2nd place in the amount of $200 and 3rd place in the amount of $100 This is your chance to strut your stuff and showcase your stage skills. This is open to all Area I members, to include KATUSA's. You will have a full 5 minutes to do your thing. All we ask is that you keep your material up to acceptable standards (no profanity, etc.) You can bring your music in a CD, USB or saved song in your smart phone. You must check in with your song or act prior to 1730 on September 29, 2017. All acts will be acceptable include dance, comedy & singing. Please sign-up at any Area I CAC.
