Outdoor Recreation’s December Trips Vivaldi Ski Park Trip Saturday December

Includes Transportation, Guide, Lift Ticket and Boots, Ski or Snowboard Rental. Bring Korean Won for snacks/drinks and rental equipment. Departure Times: Hovey CAC – 7 a.m. / Casey CAC – 7:30 a.m. / CRC CAC – 8:30 a.m. / Stanley Commissary – 9:15 a.m.

Vivaldi Ski Park has it all when it comes to winter excitement! Skiing, Snowboarding, Food Court, Arcade, Bowling, Movie Theatre, and more! Join Area I Outdoor Recreation as we travel to Vivaldi for a fun-filled day on the slopes. If you don’t feel like skiing or snowboarding, there’s still plenty for you to do onsite! Ask Outdoor Recreation for more information. This trip will be weather dependent, and will require participants to bring cold weather, waterproof gear in order to ski or snowboard. * 40 Slots available.

Hot Spring Hike & Hot Springs Soak Sunday December

What’s better than a hike in the beautiful mountains surrounding Area I? A relaxing soak in a beautiful hot spring to take all your aches away of course! Outdoor recreation will take you for a half day hike in the mountains, after that we will travel to a local hot spring area where you may soak all of your cares away in a serene and relaxing outdoor hot spring pool. Extra amenities are available like a sauna, indoor therapeutic pool and more, for an additional fee. * 20 Slots available.

Another mountain in Korea, another awesome day on the slopes! Come shred the corduroy with ODR at Bearstown Ski Area, just a short 1.5 hour ride from Camp Casey! Here we will have the opportunity to ski or snowboard from 8 different lifts that service 11 different runs. For those that don’t wish to ski, Bearstown also offers a sledding hill. This trip will be weather dependent, and will require cold weather, waterproof gear in order to ski or snowboard. * 40 Slots available.

CRC BOSS Workout Challenge

DECEMBER 5, 2016 - FEBRUARY 3, 2017 / 7:30 P.M. AT THE TRIBE CENTER (ACROSS CRC PX) Join the BOSS progam as we take the 22 Minute Hard Corps Challenge. This is a 60-day challenge that uses quick, intense total body exercises designed to get you boot camp fit in 60 days. There is also a modifier for those who prefer a low impact workout.

Christmas Tree Decorating Party with Korean Language Class Wednesday, December 7 / 5 - 7 p.m. Camp Hovey CAC Get into the Holiday spirit and join the Hovey CAC team as we decorate our Christmas Tree! Event is open to everyone followed by a Korean Language Class, caroling and games. Call, 730-5125

Unit Adopt-an-Orphan this Christmas Sunday, December 18 / 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. / Camp Casey Warrior’s Club *Orphanage Visit: Sunday, December 11 / 10 a.m. (Bus Departs from Casey CAC) This special Holiday Season program provides Area I Units (and civilian organizations) an opportunity to ‘adopt’ a local orphan and treat them to a live entertainment show and meal at Casey Warrior’s Club. Participating Units/Organizations will be assigned a child and are expected to provide their adopted orphans a Christmas present and pay for their meal. This is a great opportunity to share holiday Christmas cheer with a Korean child. Because of limited seating, Units are highly encouraged to signup early. 3D Drunk & Drugged Driving Course

The importance of the 3D Month campaign event is to put emphasis on prevention and the consequences of driving while drunk or drugged. Items will be provided as incentive to the soldiers and community to actively participate in addition to a liability release form for non-military community members. Come out and join us and have a chance to experience the adverse effects of Alcohol and Drug impaired driving.
