Took form to another level when narrow winner of Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot. Not disgraced back down in trip when fourth in Grand Prix de Paris and this test will suit.
Star Ratings Explained
Each horse has been given a star rating, these are defined below:
HHHHH Selected to win the race.
HHHHI Good chance of being placed.
HHHII By no means out of the reckoning but at least one or two hold stronger claims
HHIII Unlikely to win but not totally without hope.
HIIII Can be given little or no chance.
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability.
The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions A horse rated 100, for example, would be set to carry 1lb more than a horse rated 99 (ignoring any penalties or allowances).
The ratings published in the racecard for handicap races are the ratings that were used to calculate the weight to be carried by each horse, whilst in non-handicaps races the rating shown is that of each runner at the time that the entries for the race were confirmed Any subsequently published change to a rating, either up or down, is shown in brackets following the rating.

There should be better to come from EAGLE DAY, who has shown clear promise in a trio of maidens and now gets the chance to show what he can do in a handicap off an opening mark that surely underestimates him. Wadi Bani is 0-9 but that only tells half the story and he is feared on the back of an encouraging display in a big field at Newmarket Chelmsford-winner American Belle and unexposed handicap debutante Pop World are others to consider

HORSE WELFARE COMES FIRST AT DONCASTER
At every race meeting at Doncaster our top priority is the safety and welfare of both horse and rider We have a dedicated team of highly qualified vets and doctors following the action at all times and a horse ambulance in attendance at every meeting.
Use of Screens
It is our policy to erect green screens around any horse requiring veterinary attention. This does NOT reflect the severity of any injury, but does help to provide a calm environment, in which the vet is better able to treat the horse.

Back in calmer waters, TROPEZ POWER could be the answer The 4-y-o has come up short in big-field Class 2 handicaps returned to turf the last twice but this is more suitable and he’s 3lb lower compared to when scoring on the all-weather in February. Siam Fox did the job in good style from the front at Yarmouth and he remains on a workable mark following a 5lb rise, while Diamondonthehill and Grey Fox both make each-way appeal

It’s probably best to overlook AIMERIC’s York effort when last seen in October and, with just half-a-dozen starts under his belt and a broadly progressive profile, he earns the vote Roger Varian’s charge may have most to fear from Wandering Rocks, who has to be of interest off this reduced mark with the hood refitted. Hasty Sailor will be a threat if building on his back-to-form Newmarket second last time and Australian Angel is respected based on last season’s exploits
