Try the Spring CLE Pass.* The Spring CLE Pass* allows you to register for up to 12 hours of CLE between January 1 â&#x20AC;&#x201C; June 30, 2014 for the price of $375, with over 94 hours to choose from. Simply purchase the pass for $375 and register online or by mail for up to 12 hours of CLE this spring. We make it easy. You select your seminars up front or throughout the spring. The choice is yours! *The Spring CLE Pass can be used by any member for any in-person event, excluding CNA, Annual Meeting, Mid-Year Meeting, Best of CLE sessions, webinars and any seminar over 12 hours. CLE Passes are used for the entire event, not individual hours. CLE Pass will be debited the number of hours of the event, not by hours of attendance. CLE Catalog This desk reference contains all of the Arkansas Bar Associationâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s CLE offerings from January through August 2014. As always, the information will also be online. The online version will have any changes and updates. CLE Across the State The Arkansas Bar Association strives to provide CLE to its members across the state. We hope that by expanding our CLE offerings geographically, we can provide convenient locations for you. During the next several months we will be hosting CLE events in areas around the state. If you have a venue that you think would be good for a CLE event, please email pprater@arkbar.com. Registration The registration fee includes the seminar, electronic course materials and refreshment breaks. If lunch is provided it will be noted on the individual seminars. Please note registration deadlines on each seminar or register at the door. CLE Credit The programs in the catalog have been submitted to the Arkansas Continuing Legal Education Board for CLE hours. Check the individual seminars for the number of CLE credit hours available. Attendees who are licensed in other states are responsible for applying for CLE credit in those states. In July of 2013, a new statute went into effect that provided that courts should presume joint custody. How has that statute affected the outcome of cases? How is it being applied by the court? Come and listen to a seasoned family law attorney and a panel of judges cover this topic.

This course will discuss the various laws and regulations controlling the sale of alcohol in Arkansas, particularly drawing distinctions between activities permitted in “wet” counties and activities permitted in “dry” counties. Participants will learn about the different types of available permits, including private club permits. The process of counties switching status from dry to wet, or vice-versa, will be discussed. The course will also describe the mechanics of obtaining a permit, including handling an application through the ABC approval process.

The first two hours of this course will provide an overview of digital forensics concepts, case examples and terminology. Attorneys will learn the basic information needed to understand the process of computer forensics, cell phone forensics, the subdisciplines of digital forensics such as GPS forensics and cellular tracking, and the proper methods for seizure and search of electronic evidence.

When a client comes to you to set up a business entity, there are some things you should know. You need to know the function of each of these entities, what they do and how to properly form them. Then, you can advise your client on how to proceed. Learn how to better serve your clients.

The third hour of this course will take a more in-depth look at the realities of cell phone forensics, the basics of how cell phones record and store data, and what information can be recovered and when it can be recovered from a cell phone. Attorneys will learn about the processes and procedures used to collect cell phone evidence, and how cell phone evidence is used in cases and how it can be challenged.
