Glossary An explanation of common terms used through your college career can be found here.
Degree Maps Print a semester-by-semester guide of the courses required to complete each major offered by visiting bit.ly/2nERCup.
Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) is designed to assist in planning the academic progress of students from the high school level through the adult workforce. This system contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and equitable treatment in the application of credits for admissions and degree requirements. Students may complete specified General Education courses anywhere in the public system as well as many courses in the degree/major that have been pre-identified for transfer. Course transferability is not guaranteed for courses listed in ACTS as No Comparable Course. Transferability of courses taken prior to January 1, 2007, is at the discretion of the receiving institution. The Arkansas Course Transfer System can be accessed at acts.adhe.edu. Act 747 of 2011 establishes a statewide common course numbering system for postsecondary courses. The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) meets this requirement.
Fight On Rewards A mobile app that allows students to check-in to events/activities, earn points for each check-in, and win prizes and exclusive experiences. The Fight On Rewards App (free) can be downloaded from Apple iTunes and Google Play.
Grade Point Average (GPA) Your grade point average (GPA) is calculated by dividing the total amount of grade points earned by the total amount of attempted credit hours. To figure your GPA, visit bit.ly/2ot7Ndm. TheLink theLink.atu.edu is the hub for all ATU organizations. Log in with your OneTech username and password.
For further information about the transfer of courses between colleges and universities within Arkansas, contact the Academic Advising Center.

The Department of Public Safety provides information for all incoming students and their families about the safety of campus. The website offers valuable safety information, the Annual Safety Report, information on emergency preparedness, and services provided by Public Safety to our campus community. The following are a few of the services offered at Arkansas Tech University.
Everyone attending ATU is required to have a parking permit. Permits are available online beginning August 1 for each academic year. To purchase an Arkansas Tech parking permit for the main campus, follow these steps:
Annual Safety and Security Report Each year ATU publishes a report that lists all efforts taken to ensure a safe learning environment and includes safety programs, policies, and crime statistics for the University. A digital copy can be obtained at bit.ly/2op6xGf or a hard copy can be requested by contacting the Department of Public Safety.
ATU Alert ATU Alert notifies the university community in an efficient and timely manner in case of a campus security event. Emergency notification is a critical part of the security plan for Arkansas Tech students, faculty, and staff. ATU Alert provides the Department of Public Safety with the ability to disseminate emergency notifications by text, telephone call, e-mail, social media, and Alertus boxes positioned at strategic locations on campus. To learn more about ATU Alert, visit bit.ly/2ot0P7Q.
Emergency Procedure Guide ATU has created and distributed the ATU Emergency Procedure Guide which is available to all faculty and staff members. A copy is located in every classroom, residence hall room, departmental office, and meeting space on campus. This guide includes quick access to information needed in emergency situations. It is also available online at bit.ly/2ot0P7Q.
Emergency Call Stations Campus buildings, parking lots, sidewalks, and all major walkways are lit at night. Call stations are located throughout these areas and are easily located in daylight by their red color and at night by their blue lights. These call stations provide instant communication with emergency services.
