HEY KEY CLUBBERS! PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Summer sunshine and Key Club on your mind! Sorry that was my bad attempt at a rhyme. Anyways, big thanks to everyone that came to the Banquet. Don't worry if you missed out, it makes me really excited to plan and have more fun social events in the upcoming year. Keep an eye out for a huge one to celebrate the end of summer and the start of the new school year! These events are for YOU to have a great time and get more involved so don't be shy and bring your friends! Your executive board is currently hard at work planning for fundraisers and volunteer opportunities so get ready and energized to take part and make a difference in the community, the world, and YOUR year in Key Club!
It’s Summer TIME ! On June 22, 9 key clubbers volunteered for the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragonboat Festival at Creekside Community Centre. We worked at the docks, helping racers get in and out of their boats safely which also gave us a great view of the race. The racers were very appreciative and we had a lot of fun while working on our tan. In return for volunteering, we got awesome t-shirts and lots of freebies!

JUNE DCM RECAP
Soobeen loves having her DCM’S outdoors, and yet again it was! On Saturday June 29th we gathered around Portside Park to discuss club business as well as of course played icebreakers! We were accompanied by our fellow neighbors below us, Americans! Their uplifting smiles and positive attitude definitely made the DCM even better! Thanks to all that showed up and we hope to see more of you there for the next one!

TRIKIDS TRIATHLON It was bright and early for our key clubbers that had to wake up to volunteer for this super cute event. Who doesn’t love little kids running around? They got bright yellow t-shirts and each of our members was assigned to different positions to help out with this event. Although the weather was crazy, raining cats and dogs for a bit then later super sunny, it was great to see the kids from various ages sweat in that crazy weather!
KIWANIS ICON
There are honestly too many positive things to say about this year’s Kiwanis icon. Held in our very backyard, we were so lucky that this year it was held in Vancouver! Attending those interesting workshops, lunches, service fair, meeting people from around the world is definitely something we’ll all never forget. Thank you to all kiwanians, you are a great host and keep doing what you’re doing! (:

KEY CLUB BANQUET RECAP
Although Key Club is super fun, it can be stressful throughout the year. So to release the year’s stress, we decided to have a yearend banquet! We chilled with our Key Clubbers, played a numerous amount of games including Bang, Egg Roulette, big Buddha, giddy up, face the cookie and more! As you see in the pictures, we definitely stuffed our faces with food and left the banquet feeling bloated. I guess some people didn’t eat dinner that night. We had some a special performance held by our previous Bulletin Editor Tommy, and his crew as well as Kelly and Mr. Eckersley dropped by! Prizes and awards were given out to members with the most hours in each grade and to those who were the winners of each of the games. Thanks to all that showed up, see you all at next year’s banquet!

UNDERWEAR AFFAIR Under there! Underwear?! All jokes aside, this event was to raise awareness to cancer below the waist and our Key Clubbers had a blast doing so! We were in charge of water station #1, we gave out drinks, snacks, and of course encouraged the racers! The racers were in outrageous outfits making this volunteer opportunity definitely an unforgettable.
