Our distinctive at Chinchilla Christian College is the belief that we are ‘family’. When a new student joins us, whether this be in Prep or at any other stage along their schooling journey, they become a lifelong member of the CCC family. There are clear benefits of being a member of a healthy, loving family. These include: acceptance, a sense of belonging, encouragement and support. We want each and every student here at CCC to experience these benefits both during their schooling and after they have graduated.

6868458ac

It is an exciting time for Chinchilla Christian College. The College has experienced significant growth in recent years - 22% in 2017 and 25% in 2018. To cater for this significant growth, Chinchilla Christian College has recently purchased two neighbouring properties. It is also commencing a construction program to provide additional specialist and general classroom facilities. Over the next 12 months a science lab, visual arts studio, Secondary amenities, food technology, digital technology and industrial facilities will be constructed. Additional facilities will follow in line with the College’s Master Plan.

It does not matter when a student departs from the College, we will always consider them to be part our school’s family and will be keen to hear how they are going. As students graduate and move on to the next season of their lives, we would like to be updated about how their study or work is progressing and have them know they can get in touch with the College whenever they need any kind of support from us. As human beings, our greatest need is to be loved. During each student’s time at CCC, our hope and prayer is that they will come to know more about God’s unconditional love for them and experience the love of their school family.

ST JOSEPH’S PRIMARY SCHOOL Chinchilla

St Joseph’s Primary School, Chinchilla provides a faith-based education for students from Prep to Year Six. The School was founded by the sisters of St Joseph in 1923 and we continue to celebrate our history as a school and parish and aspire to live the Josephite charism in our daily lives and interactions with others. St Joseph’s is a welcoming, vibrant and inclusive learning community which embraces the dignity and unique qualities of each child. Fostering a passion for learning and following in the footsteps of Christ, St Joseph’s students strive for excellence in all areas of life. Our philosophy is to allow for the full personal development of our students. This development embraces their physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual nature. Each child is respected as an individual and every effort is made to cater for the individual needs of each student.

We ask parents to take an active part in their child’s education and in their academic and social development. We believe that for effective education to take place there must be open and honest communication between parents, teachers and students. Parents are encouraged to maintain contact with class teachers for the purpose of discussing their children’s progress. Within the education at St Joseph’s, Christian faith has a vital place. It is our task to nourish and support the children’s own faith journey through the experiences they encounter at school. We teach the Gospel values from the Catholic Tradition, always remaining sensitive to children from other faith families. The total educational program is directed towards equipping our students
