The Armenian Institute is a diaspora organisation, based in London, committed to innovative, multi-media arts programming, the sharing of serious research and information, and exploring the contemporary relevance of Armenian heritage and culture. Zanazan, meaning “diverse” or “all sorts” in Armenian, indicates our intention of including diverse voices and subjects in this and future issues.
This first issue of Zanazan focuses on events of the past year that have affected Armenians everywhere but especially those directly affected by the explosion in the port of Beirut and the war over Artsakh or Nagorno Karabakh. The magazines include articles on inequalities in Lebanon, effects of the Artsakh war, story of a restaurant in Beirut, medieval manuscripts, photo essays from the war zone, book reviews, culinary recipes and more.
Our events are free on Zoom but we need your help to continue producing exciting programmes. Please visit our website for more info.
