McNab-Braeside seems to be following in the footsteps of Arnprior by having a village’s main street repaved. In Braeside, River Road’s rehabilitation began in late July and will finish up in mid to late August, according to County of Renfrew public works director Steve Boland. The “shave and pave” will remove about an inch of pavement then replace it. Manholes, curbs, and catch basins will also be updated. The project will cost county taxpayers $460,000. The township will contribute to rebuilding sidewalks. See ROADWORK page 3

Arnprior ice cream shop a tribute to Aunt Sylvia DEREK DUNN derek.dunn@metroland.com

When Jacob and Alyssa Redner were little, a favourite outing with their aunt was for ice cream. Then came the long battle with Alzheimer’s and the kids could no longer spend time with her in the same way. So when she died just eight months ago, there was no hesitation when it came to naming Jacob’s new ice cream stand

in Arnprior. Aunt Sylvia’s. “I thought it’d be a great tribute,” said Jacob. “I always wanted to do an ice cream shop.” Located far from two other stands in the downtown core, Jacob said his is in a better location – along Staye Court Drive – for people living near McDonald’s. He vows to keep regular hours: Mondays to Saturdays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. They close for the season on Thanksgiving weekend.

Decoration Sunday The Town’s Decoration Day will be held for both cemeteries on August 27th, 2017 at the Albert Street Cemetery, 336 Albert Street. The service is at 2:00 pm and seating is not provided so please bring your own chairs. Flowers placed during the service will remain for one week and then be removed by staff. Town Hall Business Continuation During Construction During the month of August, water / tax / miscellaneous payments are also being accepted at the Nick Smith Centre, located at 77 James Street, between the hours of 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Payments can be made in cash, cheque or debit. Town Hall remains open for business Monday through Friday between 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at 105 Elgin Street West and temporary access is available from Madawaska street when access to the front door is not accessible. Short term visitor parking is available along Madawaska Street behind the Town Hall during construction. Please note the location of all Council/Committee Meetings until November 1 has been moved to the Stanley Tourangeau Fire/Police Services Centre located at 67 Meehan Street. Commercial, Industrial and Multi-Residential Tax Bills Issuance of final 2017 property tax bills for Commercial, Industrial and MultiResidential properties, normally issued in July, will be slightly delayed this year due to impacts resulting from recent changes to Provincial Legislation. All final 2017 residential property tax bills have been issued. For additional information, please contact the Jennifer Morawiec, General Manager, Client Services / Treasurer at (613) 623-4231 ext 1820. Up-coming Events Every Sunday – Arnprior Market from 9 am – 2 pm on John Street | Concerts in the Park from 2 - 4 pm in Robert Simpson Park August 28th, 6:30 pm – Regular Meeting of Council at the Stanley Tourangeau Fire/Police Services Centre, 67A Meehan Street, Arnprior, ON

He said another difference includes Alyssa’s talents. Aunt Sylvia’s specializes in sundaes. The Choco Brown is dunked in Oreo crumble and covered in caramel sauce. Others are called Two Rivers, Northern Lights, and Cheesequake. “Our most popular so far has been the Almost Healthy,” Jacob said. “It has strawberries, bananas, chocolate syrup, and a graham cracker crumble that mixes the soft and crunchy.” The young entrepreneur, who graduated from Arnprior District High School in 2012, has always planned to own businesses. He had a paintball business in Pakenham. This latest venture brings him closer to home, family and his past. “It’s like opening a lemonade stand as a kid,”

he said. “I wanted something to ease into, not that it’s been easy! “I want to put a lot of my energy into growing it.” The business employs five people. Asked if he is superstitious about opening a business on the property of the former TOSH Steakhouse that burned to the ground three years ago, Jacob chuckled and shook his head. Ice cream takes a long time to catch on fire. He said Aunt Sylvia’s been getting a lot of positive comments and folks seem to enjoy it tremendously. It was “pretty packed” the first few nights, following the July 26 opening. “It’s all onward and upward from here.”

Derek Dunn/Metroland

Employee Sydney Frisk and Aunt Sylvia’s owner Jacob Redner show some love to the little blue ice cream business that recently opened. Redner’s aunt, who died less than a year ago, would take him for ice cream when he was a child.

DEREK DUNN derek.dunn@metroland.com

The van involved in recent collision in the Ottawa’s west end included soccer players and their coach, Metroland Media has learned. An Arnprior soccer coach was behind the wheel with his kids and at least one other player when their minivan and a car collided at about 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 1 in West Carleton. Six people were in the minivan and one in the car at the Upper Dwyer Hill and Panmure roads site.

An adult was taken to hospital and a child transported by helicopter ambulance to CHEO. The others were also taken to hospital. The Arnprior McNab Braeside U15 boys’ recreational team with coach Todd Simpson were heading to Almonte on Upper Dwyer Road for a league game at the time. Panmure Road has a stop sign at that location. Simpson declined comment but confirmed that everyone on board is okay, although fairly shaken up. Police continue to investigate the cause.

Roadwork set for Scheel, elsewhere Some residents may believe other roads deserved fixing first, but Boland said the county follows a particular formula to determine priority. Volume of traffic plays a role, but so does getting ahead of repairs. It is cheaper to do minor work and delay a full reconstruction. “It was time to do a rehabilitation before it got worse,” Boland said. “It would have been much more expensive.” The township follows the same principle, according to public works director Ryan Frew. A combined reconstruction and rehabilitation of Scheel Drive, between McLean Drive and Hwy. 417 should be finished in mid September. It will cost $1.1 million and include new culverts

and a widening of the road. Four others will be resurfaced before the end of August: McLeod, Meyers, Mountain View, and part of Pinegrove. That will cost township taxpayers $160,000. In September and October, rehabilitation will take place on Kippen, Deerfield and Lorlei to the tune of $360,000. None of the roads will be shut down and traffic rerouted. Some could see lanes periodically reduced to one. Frew said the municipality is spending “a little more” on roadwork than in past years, but it all falls in line with the new 10-year road rehabilitation plan. “We are trying to get longer life out of our roads going forward,” Frew said.

Rare turtle with spike injury found in Calabogie DEREK DUNN derek.dunn@metroland.com

An at-risk turtle was found with a metal spike hammered into its shell — puncturing a lung — in Calabogie early last month. So when it was discovered with what appears to be the latch of a fence gate driven into its shell, a rescue operation was put in place. So was an investigation to find the culprit. OPINION

Connected to your community

Have we reached peak Trudeau in this country? It’s easy to love Justin Trudeau. It’s easy to hate Justin Trudeau. He’s polarizing, not in a way that, say, Stephen Harper or Mike Harris were. But you either really dislike him, or believe him to be the second coming. Or you want to like him personally, but don’t jive with how he’s running things. This past week, it all came to a head when he graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. And when you saw it, you either swooned or wretched. Or shook your head. Granted, it was an American take on Trudeau, a “Why can’t he be our leader?” contrast with Donald Trump. (They even called the RCMP the Royal Canadian Mountain Police in an early draft ... whoops!) Now, to be fair, other world leaders are more than capable of making complete fools of themselves, too. Ireland’s new leader, Leo Varadkar, went all fanboy on Justin on July 4 in Dublin when he proudly showed off his maple leaf socks for him, like a younger brother seeking big bro’s approval. Varadkar, in his first meeting with British Prime Minister Theresa May, pointed to the spot

at 10 Downing St. in London where Hugh Grant had done his dance routine in the 2003 movie Love, Actually. (“Cop yourself on, Leo,” Ireland’s answer to The Onion, Waterford Whispers, wrote.) Russian leader Vladimir Putin has been going around topless in the summertime for years now. On the one hand, who cares if Trudeau introduces a music act on Canada Day wearing a Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy T-shirt? On the other hand, while there is a lot of spectacle and performance to be had in politics - and few do it better than Trudeau - he is a fallible being who had let us down on many fronts (proportional representation, a muddy foreign policy, Omar Khadr, skyhigh deficits.) One of the more damning lines about Trudeau’s cover story came from a Vancouver cartoonist, J.J. McCullough, writing in The Washington Post, who said, “It is the luxury of foreigners to treat politics of other countries as parable, entertainment, or escapist fantasy. Actually living in a country run by a social media celebrity is a lot less fun.”

Applause for MP standing up for personal beliefs To the editor: For two weeks in a row RenfrewNipissing-Pembroke MP Cheryl Gallant has been roasted because of her beliefs. I am on her side regarding climate change. If you open your eyes, read and listen to others on this subject you may see how this Paris Accord on climate change is possibly a hoax in order to redistribute wealth around the world. When the Liberals signed on to the Paris Accord they did not have any requirements to meet the objectives set on reducing CO2 gasses. They only had to agree on sending money to underdeveloped countries. So much for helping the environment. I have been called a climate change denier. If you try to engage in con-

versation about climate change you are told it is a closed subject and let us move on to fix the problem. Since when has any science been a closed subject never to be challenged? I am surprised that only 97 per cent of scientists have said that climate change is real. It should have been 100 per cent. Climate is changing, always has and always will. If asked the question “is man’s influence on climate so severe that it will cause the world to self destruct in 100 years?” you may find that scientist may not be as agreeable. Now let me be clear, I believe that the climate is changing, and will always be changing. However I do not believe that it is solely caused by man. We do contribute to climate change; however it is only a small piece of the puzzle. Vice President & Regional Publisher Peter Bishop pbishop@metroland.com 613-283-3182

The effect of the sun has a far greater influence. Since the dawn of time this world has had climate change. How many ice ages have there been? Did you know that at one time our country was a tropical forest? Man could not have had any effect on these changes. Twenty plus years ago a career politician (not a scientist) by the name of Al Gore shocked the world into believing in global warming. According to him the polar caps would be gone today, the oceans would have risen by several feet and the polar bears would be extinct. What became of these predictions? After 18 years of stable temperatures he changed the subject to climate change, and the money started to flow into his bank account again. posedly toxic to our planet is actually the reason we are living now. Go to your computer and Google photosynthesis. Plants breathe in CO2 (carbon dioxide) and breathe out O (oxygen). If CO2 was so bad why do greenhouse growers pump in CO2 into their greenhouses to promote faster plant growth? A politicians’ main purpose in life is to be reelected after his or her first term. To be called a climate change denier could be political suicide. This past article clearly states that Cheryl Gallant is committing political suicide by her stance on climate change. Respond helpfully to domestic violence To the editor: We have all at some point in our life experienced personal hardship and adversity. For many of us we doubt our ability in how to support a relative, friend or co-worker when they find themselves in a crisis. The uncertainty of whether we should get involved is often compounded by our hesitation of knowing, what can we do to help? It is not because we do not care, it is more often mistrust in our own knowledge of what someone is experiencing. This is particularly true of domestic violence, especially if

it is happening within the workplace. You know and “feel” something isn’t right. You have seen warning signs. Your co-worker is often late for work, or missing work, they avoid you, you have observed small bruises, you sense emotional stress. It is reported (Stats Canada) that one in three workers experience emotional abuse in the form of stalking by text or phone, and harassing at the workplace itself. Often employers will see a decline in job performance due to workers feeling anxious, fatigued and fearful of losing their employment. There are ways in which you can support a co-worker, family

and friends who are experiencing domestic violence. Listen without judgment, blame or criticism. Verbalize you believe them and reaffirm they are not responsible for the abuse they are experiencing. Yes Cheryl had had a few gaffs in her eight-plus years as a member of parliament. She has been elected with a huge majority all these years. To a lot of politicians votes are more important than integrity. On a one on one private conversation with politicians of both sides, I doubt that there would be anywhere close to a 99.9 per cent consensus on climate change. I applaud Cheryl for her stance on climate change. It is nice to have a politician stand up for personal beliefs instead of trying to get the next vote. Best of luck Cheryl in 2019. Many animals have a sweet tooth for raspberries and blueberries While it might seem that these animals are exploiting berry-producing plants, the real story is the complete opposite. When birds or A number of events are marking the passing of sum- bears devour Blueberries, they are interested mer. Nights are cooler and the days shorter. Bird song has only in the sugar-rich pulp that surrounds the all but ended and blackbirds are gathering in increasingly large flocks. And currently the fruit of Raspberries and Blueberries is ripening. The maturing of fruit is a welcome event for many animals. Eastern Chipmunks will soon start stashing away larger items such as Chokecherries for winter consumption. Cedar Waxwings are currently nesting so that their young can soon exploit the rich bounty. And Black Bears are feasting on berries in order to put on fat that will not only help keep them warm in the months to come but will more importantly provide nutrition next spring when they arouse from their winter-long dormancy. Black Bears are large carnivores that generally pose little risk to humans. Still, it is always best to treat them (as we should any animal) with respect and keep some distance from them. Thus, recently when I was in Algonquin Park photographing bears for an upcoming book, I used a long telephoto lens and kept close watch on their body language for any sign of distress or alarm. Now, it isn’t easy to sneak up on a bear for these fascinating animals see well and have remarkable hearing and a well-developed sense of smell. Thus, only a handful of my recent encounters with almost twenty different bears ended up providing good photo opportunities. Once a bear became aware of my presence, it would usually quickly bound away with surprising speed. Sometimes curiosity would cause one to stand up on its hind legs to gain a better view of the intruder before vanishing into the woods. But I was able to gain good views of a few bears in action and watch them for considerable amounts of time. It was fascinating to see such large animals dining on tiny berries. When feeding on Blueberries, a bear would keep its head low to the ground and sometimes use a large paw to pull a berry-laden bush towards its mouth. The bears never seemed to bite off chunks of bushes and instead used their thick lips and tongues to pull berries from them. Whenever a bear raised its head to scan for danger, unlike a Moose browsing on vegetation, leaves and twigs never dangled from its mouth. There is a reasonably good crop of Blueberries this year in Algonquin and Black Bears are certainly aware of it. However, bears were not alone in enjoying the fruit. Dozens of American Robins and Blue Jays also devoured the berries, and they will soon be joined by Cedar Waxwings. MICHAEL RUNTZ

West Nile virus found in mosquitoes in Renfrew County RENFREW COUNTY & DISTRICT HEALTH UNIT

Mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus (WNv) have been found in Laurentian Valley Township around the intersection of Highway 41 and Whitewater Road. This is the first time that mosquitoes have tested positive for WNv in Renfrew County and district since the health unit began monitoring mosquitoes for WNv in 2005. Mosquito traps are set up on a weekly basis across the region during the summer months. There have not been any reported human cases of WNv so far in 2017. “The Renfrew County and District

Four out of 5 people infected will not show any symptoms. Others may see early symptoms of fever, headache, body aches, skin rash, and occasionally, vomiting and nausea. Of those showing symptoms, approximately 1 in 150 may develop more serious symptoms such as stiff neck, confusion, tremors, numbness or sudden sensitivity to light. If you believe you are experiencing symptoms of WNv, please contact your health care provider. The risk of being infected by the West Nile virus is low, but now is a good time to reduce your risk by the following actions:

Health Unit has been actively monitoring mosquitoes for West Nile virus,” said Dr. Kieran Moore, acting medical officer of health. “This recent finding of local mosquitoes carrying WNv serves as a reminder that even though the risk is low, individuals should take precautions to prevent bites and reduce breeding sites.” ABOUT WEST NILE VIRUS

Gary “Crouch” Croucher continues to enthusiastically lead the men as club captain, and MCGC is pleased to welcome and thank Lenora Homulos for stepping up to assume the role of ladies’ club captain. Christmas elf Ziggy Bauer had a great time at the Christmas in July event.

Now for a wee bit of history: Legend has it (and there’s a scorecard to prove it), pro Chris Learmont hit a 62 that still stands for best score ever at Mountain Creek. Pro Jonathan Schaepper has been close to Mr. Learmont’s score with a 64 but he better watch out as his young son, Gregory, an up and coming golfer in his own right, shot a personal best 69 on July 25 from the blue (back) tees. Congratulations, Gregory. Keep chasing your Dad! Course record for an amateur, Dave Stefaniuk, is 64, and two very close: Wayne Deschamps and Shane Fagan each shot 65. Hopefully, these gentlemen are proud of both their age and scores: Gordie Robinson shot his age numerous times; Jim Hargraft shot 69 at age 70; Steve Blais shot a 74 - a stroke or 2 under his age; and best of all: Bill Hoy shot a 90 at age 92. Gary Croucher says he shoots his age every time he plays; however, he reaches that number before completing 18 holes. There’s no end to the challenges in golf. If there are kids out there who’d like to be able to challenge their dads, Sean Rousselle is offering a two-day golf workshop for juniors ages seven and up on Aug. 26 and 27. Call the Mountain Creek Pro Shop if you’d like your child to join in. If you’d like to know in advance about these golf and gourmet events, as well as membership and daily specials, subscribe to Mountain Creek’s e-alerts by opting in at the website or at the club. Happy golfing, but keep your umbrella at hand!

Learn to run clinic is a lead up to the annual Arnprior Unity Run ANDY KALNINS

Mark Tuesday, Aug. 15 on your calendar, as it could be one of the most important days of your entire life: It could be a day that you became a runner. The day that you took the first step to utilize a fitness tool that does not require membership, contracts, or fees. The day that you will acquire skills and knowledge that will follow you your entire life. The day you will learn about healthy stress reliever that will lead to new experiences and new friends. The day that you will learn to run. This run-training is being organized by the Prior Runners in support of the Unity Run that takes place on Sunday, Oct. 22. The Unity Run is Arnprior’s premier running event, and is in support of Community Living Renfrew County South. The clinic leader will be Dr. Phil Knapp. Dr. Knapp is a chiropractor with extensive experience and knowledge in sports medicine and in particular running. You will learn about equipment (don’t worry, most people already have what is needed, ) you will learn about proper running technique, you will learn about warm up and cool down exercises, you will learn about runner safety, you will learn the basics of nutrition and hydration. The only prerequisite for this clinic is the ability to be able to walk for

be followed by the one-minute walk. Again, there will be the expectation of homework. At the end of the program some runners will be doing what is called “10 and ones”; 10 minutes of running and one minute of walking. Others will be perhaps doing “five and ones” or “three and ones” (and for anyone that thinks that 3/1 is inadequate, be advised that full marathons are run that way by some people!) The most important thing that this clinic will achieve is the ‘no runner will run alone and no runner will be left behind.’ We are a running community. We take care of our own. We will ensure that someone will be with you during the clinic runs. It does not matter what your pace is, it does not matter how much you need to walk; if you try someone will be there, from the Prior Runners, to support you. So what will all of this get you? For starters it will get you a spot in Arnprior’s Premier Run; the Unity Run on Sunday, Oct. 22. It will get you fitness. It will get you health. It will get you friendship. And if you become a crazy runner after all of this? All we can say is “welcome to the club.” Learn to Run - $35 per person (includes a teeshirt and registration for the Unity Run). Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. starting on Tuesday Aug. 15 for 10 weeks. Registration Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 5:30 p.m. Registration and all training is at the Nick Smith Centre 77 James St., Arnprior, ON, 613-6237301.

Perry Freda, Daniel Guay win men’s day at Madawaska Golf Club KEVIN RYAN Madawaska Golf Club News

A record setting wet spring and early summer has caused some very challenging conditions for Martyn Munro and his maintenance staff however the course is now in great condition especially the greens and the run ups to the greens at Madawaska Golf Club. The crews are finally ahead of the grass cutting on the main course and in the rough and tree trimming is continuing along the edges and on some of the overhanging willow trees (hole #7 and hole #9).

Men’s day has been very well attended with an average of 55 to 65 golfers competing in the event every week. The men’s club captain, Dan McCaskill, with help from his financial cohort Frank Pecora and the pro shop staff, have provided timely scoring and prize awarding every night plus for all of the tournaments leading up to the men’s club championships in early September. Great job everyone. Men’s day on July 6 was sponsored by the Madawaska Golf Club and the Madawaska Men’s Club. Perry Freda and Daniel Guay were the

A flight winners. Tom Clouthier and Kevin Turcotte were the B flight winners followed by Steve Wilson and Rod Renwick C flight. Jake Davies and Jim Bonnar were the D flight winners for the evening. Thrashing time was like a holiday Aunt Lizzie called it “threshing,” but everyone I knew called it “thrashing.” Father said his sister got high-minded when she moved to Regina and left the farm at Northcote behind, and sometimes he had no idea what she was talking about. Anyway, it was thrashing time and to me it was like a holiday ... just like the Saturday night card parties, only there was no music. Early in the morning, farm neighbours would start to arrive, and they would stand around the barnyard, smoking their pipes, waiting for Mr. Briscoe to bring the big thrashing machine, pulled down our long lane by his tractor. There was nothing to do until that boozer of a machine was situated, and the daylong work began. As many as 15 neighbours would be there, and that meant they would have to be fed their noon meal, as the thrashing could go on until late in the afternoon. Mother and my sister Audrey would be up before dawn, and the old Findlay Oval would be fair hopping by the time the first few neighbours had arrived. That year my best friend Velma came across the 20 acre field. With the wild rush to have dinner ready at the stroke of 12, Mother and Audrey had no time to bother with the likes of me ... barely seven years old. And so Mother said I could have Velma over to play. We sat in the grape arbour in the two-seated swing, and could hear the kitchen sounds coming through the opened window. The clatter of dishes as the big table was being set, the bake table used, and another make shift table made of planks on two ‘sawhorses,’ covered with flour bag sheets, all needed to feed

ervoir, and start into washing up, and Velma could grab a clean tea towel. Well, that certainly wasn’t what either of us had in mind! Mother made sure we had everything in order for the job at hand, and then she and Audrey took their loaded plates out into the grape arbour, and it wasn’t long before we could hear the sound of the swing seats gently going back and forth. Velma wanted to know how we got into cleaning up the dishes. I didn’t have an answer. I took a peek out the kitchen window. The swing had stopped moving. Audrey was asleep in one seat, and Mother in the other. My friend and I had no choice but to dig into cleaning up the dishes. Just when we thought we were finished, Mother said I was to get a pail of fresh water from the pump, and chip off shards of ice from the icebox, take a tin cup out of the cupboard, and take it out to the workers in the barnyard. There was no time left in the afternoon for Velma and me to play, and right then I decided when it came time for the thrashing machine to go to her farm, I would stay home. Spending a whole afternoon cleaning up the kitchen after more than a dozen farmers had eaten a full meal, was not my idea of a fun time. The last I saw of Velma that day, she was heading across the 20 acre field with her head down, and every step an effort.

the neighbours who had come to help with the thrashing. Of course, Velma’s father, Uncle Alec was there too, as were a couple of her older brothers. The wonderful smell of roast pork and boiled turnips drifted through the open window, and Velma, far more adventurous that I was, said she couldn’t see any reason why we couldn’t go in and get ourselves a plate full of dinner, and eat it in the grape arbour. I said it was probably better if we waited until the men were served, and then we could venture in. Velma was all for charging in right then, but I told her she could go if she wanted, but I was waiting until I knew the workers were digging into their pies. And so we sat it out until Velma took a peek in through the window and said the pie was on their plates. It didn’t take long for the men to clean their plates and head out the door to the job at hand. Velma and I went into the kitchen, where Mother and Audrey had collapsed onto two chairs with their plates in front of them at the old pine table. We grabbed two plates off the bake table, and loaded them with what was left of dinner, which wasn’t much. There wasn’t a scrap of pie. It looked like Mother and Audrey were all in. It didn’t take long for me to realize we had walked right into a pile of work. Mother said we could fill the dishpan with hot water from the res-

Giant brought down

It was a sad sight for many who live and travel near this home at John and Ottawa streets when the massive maple was brought down on Aug. 1. It took two full days for a professional crew to safely bring down the fast-growing tree. At least one major branch was threatening the home’s roof.

THIS WEEK’S PUZZLE ANSWERS IN NEXT WEEKS ISSUE.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine 3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row, column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle!

ARIES – Mar 21/Apr 20 Aries, you see the wisdom in someone else’s idea and you are willing to go along for the ride. Express your support and your utmost confidence in this person and his or her idea.

LEO – Jul 23/Aug 23 Leo, you might have your mind set on a vacation to an exotic location. If that is your ultimate goal, work toward making it a possibility in the near future.

TAURUS – Apr 21/May 21 Taurus, it is unwise to make any impulsive commitments or decisions right now. Too many things are in flux, and you have to work through all the scenarios for a little bit longer.

VIRGO – Aug 24/Sept 22 Virgo, even though you know what needs to get done, you may experience difficulty adhering to a schedule. Look to a friend to get you back on course.

GEMINI – May 22/Jun 21 The key to creating some spark in your love life this week is through your social life, Gemini. Spend time with an eclectic group of friends who can offer a new experience. CANCER – Jun 22/Jul 22 Cancer, exercise patience in regards to a financial situation in the coming months. Patience may pay off if you can simply wait things out. Lean on a loved one for support.
