Q & A
Parisa Kaprealian Interview with:
What’s the history of your company?
Pretty Please Design began as a boutique studio nestled in Beverly Hills, as the first shop in the United States offering prettified a la carte designs for the traditional Persian ceremony also known as the Sofreh Aghd. All of the fresh details I implemented into my ceremonial designs swiftly gained attention, providing creative direction and inspiration to brides looking for all of the design elements that make up the elaborate Persian wedding ceremony spread.
Rich with detail and symbolism, the sofreh aghd was the perfect place for Pretty Please Design to grow and flourish while honoring the traditions of the Persian culture in a stylish, modern and detailed manner. An online storefront soon followed, along with a personal blog where I share bits of creative inspiration, along side lifestyle, food, and fashion favorites. As I began a joined life with my husband, the opportunities to create and prettify bloomed quickly. Everything from home decor and fashion, to recipes and entertaining became a pallet for expression, and a place to ignite inspiration for others. Capturing the beauty in everyday life proved to be a universal desire, and the custom lifestyle expressions of Pretty Please Design began to gather followers from across the globe.
Do you work with all budgets, or do you specialize in high end events? I specialize in high end events, catering to clients with refined taste and a vision for top-tier designs. I believe beauty doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag, but it must be meticulously planned and expertly crafted. I take great pride in exceeding expectations with my distinctive creations.
What’s your personal design aesthetic?
I prefer a mix of classic and contemporary designs in my personal design aesthetic.
What are your future plans?
Thats a great question and in full transparency, I am not sure. I am primarily focused on being a fulltime mom and as it is I take on a limited amount of events a year. I am grateful to have the opportunity to shape my own flexibility in this industry.
Could you describe what services you provide, in addition to just creating the venue? When it comes to weddings, I only do sofreh aghd design. I also do haft-seen (Persian New Year) design and event planning and design for all sorts of celebrations.
Provided by: Parisa Kaprealian
What are some of your favorite ideas for events?
My favorite ideas will always be turning my client’s vision into an even more spectacular reality. What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs and what made it special?
The designs I cherish most are those for my own children, as well as events I design for Norooz (Persian New Year). Persian New Year is my favorite holiday and I love sharing the beauty of our ancient culture with the world.
What makes you stand out from your competitors?
Particularly in the world of Persian ceremony designs I just do things differently. Every sofreh aghd design has traditional must haves, however based on taste and budget of the couple some sofreh designs are more elaborate and intricate than others and some may be more simple and understated than others.
All of my Pretty Please sofreh aghd designs are custom and designed with one of a kind details. A Pretty Please sofreh aghd design will always have a “couture” element that can’t be found elsewhere. While I ensure all of the traditional elements of the sofreh aghd are upheld, I pride myself in producing a vast range of traditional and modern designs distinctive to my clients and my weddings.

Q & A
Shantel Behroozan Interview with:
What’s the history of your company?
I’ve been dancing since I was a little girl and owning my own dance studio was always something that I dreamed about but never knew it was possibile. Getting an education was very important to my family and pursuing a career in something less artsy was encouraged, so by default I went into finance where financially I did very well but it wasn’t something that I did from the bottom of my heart.
What made you personally want to go into Dance Company?
At age 36 years old when I got diagnosed with breast cancer, I really discovered the power of dance. I was sad, I was depressed and I had never felt more scared. With the support of my family and friends I was able to pick myself up and carry myself back to dance before each treatment. I was broken and with each step I was able to put myself back together. That’s when I really understood the healing that movement, music and community collectively had.
I was sad, I was depressed and I had never felt more scared
I really discovered the power of dance !
Could you describe what services you provide and What are some of your favorite New ideas for your services?
During COVID, I felt that same sadness and loneliness from a few years back only this time I knew what I had to do. I opened my home and turned my backyard into a dance studio. Bringing in the best teachers, DJ’s and drummers. Coming together three times a week we all healed again together through the power of movement, music and community. That’s where it started and now three years later I have an amazing team of teachers that travel with me from West Hollywood, Sherman Oaks and Orange County. Sometimes you’ll even find me teaching a song or two here and there.
What was one of your most memorable events , and what made it special?
In addition to the daily classes, giving back to the community and different charities is something that I take very seriously and take pride in doing. Over the last couple of years, we have raised money for Cedars Sinai, different Breast Cancer Organizations, Brothers for life, Looking Beyond, Child International and many more. This is a very special piece of the puzzle for me. Showing gratitude for my health through giving back has become the most important part of my healing journey and I get to do it through dance.
What makes you stand out from your competitors?
I think what makes my studio stand out is the purpose behind it, the mix of music from all over the world and our love for each and every student that walks through our doors. I’m not really sure what the future holds for me. my purpose is to bring joy to as many women as I can through my love of dance. Show them that they can feel confident, sexy and beautiful at any age, any size, any dance level. Providing a safe space where women come together to share an hour moving in unity.
What are your future plans?
I’ve recently broadened my horizons and started doing prenatal and baby carrier classes for new mommies. This has definitely been one of the most gratifying experiences. Helping moms with postpartum, bonding with their babies and other moms and feeling like themselves again.
I hope to reach many more women in the future and show them the power they already have and perhaps don’t know.

Q & A Interview with: Alina Fiore
What’s the history of your company?
From a very young age I always helped friends and family plan and decorate their events not knowing one day I’ll be so in love with creating events. I started taking clients for events in 2011 after graduating from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
What made you personally want to go into the floral design business?
I always loved art and flowers. Creating floral arrangements is like creating an artwork. I could communicate so many feelings in an arrangement. I never made an arrangement without giving it a meaning.
Do you work with all budgets, or do you specialize in high-end events?
The amount of work and creativity we invest in a simple arrangement doesn’t allow us to do our work on a low-budget! However it doesn’t necessarily have to be expensive, it can be simple and creative and not too expensive at times.
What's your personal design aesthetic?
Nature! I love to create florals with a natural vibe, nothing too organized, yetpleasing to look at.
What are some of your favorite flowers and arrangement ideas? It’s hard to have an absolute favorite. My personal choice for flowers are anemones. The dark black heart of the flower against the bright white or bold colors of the petals is just fascinating!
What are some of the big trends in wedding florals right now?
A few new trends are bold color wedding flowers as we’re starting to see less traditional and more bold color wedding florals. Another trend we see right now is smaller bridal bouquets and less of the larger or cascading bouquets for brides.
Could you describe what services you provide, in addition to just creating the arrangements?
We help our brides come up with a design for the whole event by considering the bridal gown and the unique personality and taste of each bride.
What was one of your most memorable weddings/designs, and what made it special?
With the changing trends and vibe of the events each new event becomes a favorite. I like the events that are personalized and hold a special meaning to the couple.
What makes you stand out from your competitors?
I am an artist and no two artists are the same! I am very passionate for what I do and this is not just another job, it’s part of me that I put in each event. My education and background with art and fashion has an important role in staying ahead of the curve.
What’s your floral advice for brides on a budget?
I always tell my couples that our florals create a background to the most beautiful memories you make on your day! It doesn’t have to be too many flowers. It can be simple yet tasteful.
What are your plans for the future?
As we grow, we gain more experience and we learn. We never stop learning no matter how good we are.
Our goal is to create a floral experience for couples to look back at their big day and remember the great times they had!
Nutrition & Wellness
Fereshteh Khademi
I believe that with every important life event such as marriage, growing a family, or a change of career, a new chapter begins for us, leading to personal growth, self-awareness and a deeper sense of mindfulness. For me, becoming a mother was that life-changing event that paved the way to become a health and wellness advocate today. Like many new moms, along with pure joy, there were many days I felt overwhelmed and drained of energy, and worst of all, I would either forget to eat or would mindlessly consume junk foods all day.
I knew I had to make crucial changes in my life to be the best version of myself, especially for my son and family. Knowing that nutrition is at the core of my health and my biggest struggle, I began to prioritize creating healthy and balanced eating habits. Eager to learn the right way to do it, I obtained a certification in Nutrition Science from Stanford University, which made a significant difference in my life and health.
Later on, I became aware that many people don't fully understand the significant impact food has on our physical and mental health. Reflecting on the years I used to work in the beauty industry, overseeing territory sales for cosmetic brands across 80 stores, I got to know many people personally from different cultures and age groups. I noticed that while many of us often invest in beauty services and products for self-care, we tend to overlook our core wellness needs, such as daily physical activity, nutrition, and stress management.
With today's busy and fast-paced lifestyles, we sometimes need to be reminded to put aside time for ourselves and our essential wellness needs. This is why my current passion project involves producing and presenting health and wellness TV shows to inspire all of us to prioritize self-care.
I also share easy and healthy recipes with science-backed nutrition tips on social media platforms with the goal of simplifying healthy and mindful eating for today's busy lives. (@fereshteh.khm) Overall, I find so much joy in seeing how much sharing what has helped me in reaching my health goals has benefitted many others.
As I look ahead to the future, my goal is to create an educational platform providing workshops that empowers and inspires my community to implement healthy habits effortlessly in their daily lives. In other words, I aspire to create a space that fosters a culture of well-being and vitality, enabling us to embark on a journey together towards a healthier and happier tomorrow, one small habit at a time.

Forough & Emad
Emad and Forough first met in Seattle at a friend’s graduation party. The tall, handsome guy with a man bun caught Forough’s eye, while the beautiful, shy girl sitting at the café window caught Emad’s eye. Funny enough, their first date was not intended as such, but it became one when none of their friends showed up at the theater show they planned to attend. Emad asked Forough out for ice cream afterward, marking the beginning of their love story. They dated for two years before getting engaged, just before the world locked down in March 2020.
In 2021, Forough had to move to SanDiego to start her medical residency at UCSD and she took the old-time Seattleite, Emad, with her to warm and sunny southern California! There, amidst the sunshine, they decided to celebrate
their love with a wedding on October 1st, 2023, surrounded by friends and family. As they exchanged vows, their hearts overflowed with gratitude for the journey that brought them together. For Emad and Forough, every moment was a testament to the enduring strength of their love.

Maedeh & Amir
We are family friends and our mons insisted that we would be a good match and wanted us to talk to each other so we started talking on May 2017. At that time, Amir lived in Iran and Maedeh lived in US. We talked for a few months and then met each other in Amsterdam for the first time and continued our trip to Prague and then Italy. In Italy, Amalfi Coast, Amir proposed in a romantic restaurant by the beach. We continued talking and seeing each other twice a year until February 2020 that we got married in Istanbul, Turkey. After that, Maedeh petitioned for Amir’s US immigrant visa and Amir’s
immigration process started until Amir finally got his visa and moved to US on August 2022. We have had a long journey past few years and it has been like a roller coaster because long distance relationship is undoubtedly hard. However, through all of it, our love grew stronger for each other and we learnt to appreciate spending every moment together. We finally got to celebrate our love with our families and friends at our wedding on November 18th, 2023.
