Novice/Beginner Bridge

Have you always wanted to learn the game of Bridge? This class begins with the fundamentals and will teach you the mechanics of the game, the auction and play of the bridge hand.
You had me at “hola�. Have fun learning the basics while strengthening your cognitive abilities through practicing foreign language skills. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you start speaking in Spanish.

This class is for those who have “graduated� from our Beginner class and are ready to take the game to the next level. Learn competitive bidding, more play of the hand and defense. The strategies and mechanics of Duplicate Bridge will also be covered.

We’ve designed this program to be open and flexible, fitting into your busy schedule. Just show up ready to enjoy the various classes offered. The class offerings will rotate and change on a trimester basis. Mitzvah for the Soul with Rabbi Cheryl Weiner, PhD, BCC “How Do We Live Our Lives With Love, Meaning and Purpose?� An interactive, lively class discussion based on noted text. Co-Facilitated by Dr. Miriam Klein Kassenoff. Creative Writing Workshop with Efrat Friedman, MFA Have you always wanted to write your own memoir, short story or novel? Be inspired to take the first step, learn new techniques and get the benefit of constructive feedback in a friendly environment. Students will also read a novel to use as course material. Open to all writers, beginners to more experienced. Mixed Media with Sandi Levy Get your hands dirty working with paint and various materials with accomplished artist Sandi Levy. This class is designed to be two hours, but students are welcome to attend for one or two hours.
