It was the early morning of August 1 and some friends of Charlie had come to his house to celebrate his thirteen birthday. The party ended late and Charlie was trying to sleep, but a strange dream invaded his mind. In the dream he envisioned a mysterious man giving a note and, in the precise moment when trying to read it, he felt he was accessing into an unknown world. Afraid he open his eyes, and immediately, his room lit up and filled full of spectacular lights with many colors and sounds of cicadas that seemed that that he was in a forest. The walls rose and the room was like a church dome. - What amazing! He said, while trying to find some explanation for what was happening to him. He got up from bed, turn on his computer and began searching information related with mysterious dreams. He found several pages on the Internet and was shocked by the testimony of a girl who said she had found a fantastic world through her dreams. The most curious thing is that the girl, a few days before, had presented very similar symptoms to those he was feeling. - Will the same thing happen to me? He muttered very worried. The strangest of all was the dream he had; this dream was not related to anything he had lived before. He thought during the day he would be able to inform more and clarified the situation. In the middle of his thoughts, he lay down on his bed and, after a while, managed to sleep.
The alarm rang at six in the morning and Charlie couldn't believe it was that time; He had just fallen asleep. Hesitated, opened the blinds and realized that it was dawning. Watching the dawn, he saw a mysterious man in a very unique suit walking on the sidewalk. He called his attention because he was wearing a thick raincoat in July, which is so hot in Orlando Florida. - How strange! He thought. - Who could be this man? He was tall and with a black beard; the raincoat of a bright blue tone and wore pointed shoes, like those worn by medieval Europeans. In his hands he carried a book and seemed somewhat disoriented, as if looking for an address. He went downstairs and headed to the dining room. His house was two stories; It was not large, but it was the ideal size for two people to live comfortably. He was an only child; Lived with his mother; his father had died in a traffic accident five years ago. He was thirteen... This was a tough experience for him and from that moment, his life changed drastically: his mother had to devote himself to work to sustain their home. She was going to work very early; however, used to leave breakfast ready. This time she cooked pancakes, cut pieces of pineapple and watermelon and placed them on a plate. The pancakes were freshly Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
made and had a delicious blueberry scent. He sat at the dining room table and, while he ate, thought about the mysterious dream he had. He did not understand what was or why he had seen his room lit with different colors. Could it be a hallucination? He was restless and worried; He turned on the computer and continued searching for more information about the girl's testimony. When he opened the page, he noticed that her email appeared in the lower corner; Her name, Tifanny. Anxiously wrote an email. His message reads: Dear Tiffany: Hi, I write you because I saw your testimony on Internet and I want to know more about your dream. I think I have similar symptoms to yours and I would like you to help me discover why I have dreams with an unknown world. Cheeers, Charlie White
He remained in the dining room trying to make sense of the singular dream and the mysterious man; He lay on the table and fell asleep. Luckily, this time managed to sleep for three hours, so that the sound of the doorbell woke him up. It was Lucas, his neighbor and best friend, who was looking for him to go to the Freestyle track. - I 'm coming! He shouted and ran to open the door.
Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
He greeted him and Lucas told him to hurry, since all his friends were gathered on the track. They had an upcoming competition and had to prepare well. He was one year older and studies at the same school. Charlie was tall for his age, big blue eyes, big snub nose and brown hair. He was 5 feet 8 inches, and was quite tall for his age. Lucas, on the other hand, it was the opposite: dark skin, brown small eyes, flat nose, curly black hair and short stature. They knew each other five years ago and share the same hobby. The track was ten minutes from home; They rushed to take a shortcut that cuts the route in half. Charlie wanted to tell Lucas about his dream, but he was so eager to get on the bike that he didn´t even paid attention. He was thoughtful and then said: - Well, that's enough! I will stop thinking about the dream and concentrate on the practices! His friends were already reunited and several of them were riding their bicycles. Charlie was the first to go on the track. He began with several difficult tricks, which many of his friends, surprised, celebrated. In the last phase he wanted to end with a difficult trick and at the time he was going to do it, watched in the stands a mysterious man: black beard and gabardine blue stood. It was the same one he had observed walking through the neighborhood. After a careful view, he recognized him as the bearded gentleman in his sleep. He looked at him with a penetrating gaze; caused a big scare and since he was about to enter a crucial moment of his track Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
and to perform his last trick, he lost control and fell. Lucas surprised asked: - What happened to you? Charlie didn't know what to answer. He watched the bleachers to see if he could identify the Lord again, but he was gone. Lucas noticed him quite anguished and asked: - Are you ok? Charlie took him to a place away from the track and said: -Yes, but I have to tell you something. - What? And he told him what he remembered from his dream: - I dreamed of a castle and upon entering, I found a high ceiling and a large room. It had many pictures of different fantastic places, which when I looked at them carefully it gave me the feeling of really being inside the places. The ceiling was tall and glazed. And through it I could visualize an intense splendid sky with blue colors, where multicolored birds flew from one place to another.
After an indefinite time in the place, a tall man with a black beard appeared who handed me a note. At the time of receiving it, I could read a message that said: "What you waited so long is yet to come." Then I had a very strange feeling, as if I was disconnecting from the world, which worried me, to the point of waking up.
Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
- And what do you think? At the time of doing the last trick, this mysterious man of my dream appeared sitting in the stands of the track, looked me in the eyes as if trying to tell me something, so I lost focus and fell to the ground. Lucas looked at him and said: -What an amazing dream! -Yes, really weird, but the most mysterious thing is that the lord of my dream appeared in the stands. Yes, but what makes you think it was him? -I am totally sure. Moreover, now that I think he saw me with the same intense look as in my dream, as if trying to transmit me something important. Something also weird was the phrase I could read in the note, I don't even know what I can expect so much. All this is very strange. Soon his friends came looking for him to congratulate him on the excellent tricks he had performed. Charlie thanked them and told them that he should leave, that he had something important to do. He said goodbye to everyone and asked Lucas if he could go with him to the library to research a little more about dreams. Lucas, who was worried about him, said yes.
They left their bicycles recommended and took the bus. People were not traveling so they were able to sit in the front row. Along the way, Charlie heard an unknown noise and, looking back, noticed that two rows from where they were sitting where two creatures, which seemed to have been taken out of a story. Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
He was very scared and told Lucas to watch them, but he saw nothing. He was frightened; thinking maybe he was going crazy. - You are sure! Can't you see the strange creatures? -No, Charlie, there is no creature; it's your imagination. Charlie was silent and thoughtful for the rest of the trip. It was a public library, so they could enter without no difficulty. Lucas asked if he was looking for a particular book; Charlie replied that he only needed books about dreams. Since they did not know where they were, he decided to ask someone from the library. Charlie on the other hand went to the fiction books section to see if they had taken out new books. He could see several of them, which seemed interesting. Near the most famous books he observed a mysterious man, but he paid no attention. The gentleman approached him and said: -Hey! I know your name is Charlie and also about the world that exists in your dreams. Upon hearing this, he paid attention to the man who knew his name. And observing it, he identified that he was the mysterious bearded knight of his dream. He paled and said nothing. Then, the man handed him a book and disappeared. Soon Lucas arrived, who had already discovered where the section on books about dreams was. - Have you seen a man with a black beard and a blue coat? Lucas replied: -No, I didn't see anyone. Charlie, I think you must be tired; We better go now. Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
Discouraged by what was happening; He looked at the book whose singular man had caused him curiosity and reconsidered in the title: The World of Dreams. He opened the book and began to see an amazing imaginary world; He got scared and panicked it. Then, cautiously, he opened it again to show Lucas what he was seeing; He realized that the moment he saw it, all the pages he had seen animated, were completely blank. - How strange. But if I recently saw ... Well ... He took the book and took it to the counter to rent it. Lucas was surprised that Charlie had found a book so fast and that it was blank; he asked if all was well and he nodded; yes. The lady who attended him looked at the book and realized that it had no code. He looked for the title in the system and did not find that any book was named the same. She reported that the book did not belong to the library. Charlie took the book and as the misty gentleman had handed it to him, he decided to take it with him. When he started walking, Lucas asked several questions that he avoided answering. Charlie said he should go home immediately. Lucas did not understand why or what was happening to him; since the morning he was acting strange and different. However, he decided to listen to him and took the first bus that would take them back to the Freestyle track, where they had left the bicycles. In the course of the return trip, Charlie watched several creatures walking along the sidewalk; He saw an insect get on the bus and, watching him carefully, before his eyes, he became a fairy. Frightened, he decided to see the ground and saw a fantastic city with miniature creatures. He really couldn't believe it. He looked at Lucas and said: - Have you seen it? - What? - The creatures that walk on the sidewalk, the fairy and the people in a fantastic miniature city. - Haven't you seen it? Lucas was pretty scared and moved his head like saying no. Finally, they arrived; Charlie took his bicycle and hurried to his house. On the way he asked again: - What is happening to you? I don´t know Lucas, but when I find out, I'll let you know. He came home, said goodbye to his friend and, as he entered, hurried to see if Tiffany, the girl who said she had found a fantastic world in her dreams, had answered the mail. He opened it and found the girl's answer. He began to read it excitedly. Dear Charlie: I'm glad to know that someone else is going through what I lived. The first thing I have to tell you is not to be scared, since you are about to find an imaginary world that very few people have had the opportunity to see ; It's so extraordinary, you don't even imagine it. Soon you will know. This spectacular world is accessible to all who believe in it. Believe and you will see. Regards, Tiffany Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
Enthusiastic and surprised by what the girl had written, went to his room and, on entering, he realized that, inexplicably, it was very cold, so he decided to wear a sweatshirt that belonged to his father. He lay on his bed, opened the book, but it was completely blank. He looked at it and began to feel a strong tiredness. He closed his eyes, shortly after, began to see again the images of the castle he had dreamed of the night before and, just like the other time, inside the castle, the black-bearded man handed him a note. He received it and, when he tried to read it, began to have a strange feeling, but decided to continue. The note still did not focus well and struggled to read it; then he fell into a deep sleep.

Charlie inexplicably, after lying in his bed, appeared in a carnival, with a bracelet and in his hands he had a note, the book and within this, a map. I was surprised to see the note perfectly. It was the same with he had dreamed before and had tried to read, without understanding what he was saying. He hesitates to read the note or the book first, but as he was curious to unravel the mystery of the book, he decided to start reading it. He looked for a quiet and secluded place to begin the expected reading. He read the title again: “The World of Dreams”. He opened it and realized that it was no longer blank. Each word in the book was accompanied by extraordinary images, which emerged from the same pages and surprisingly invaded his mind. The book reads like this: Thousands of years, before the existence of human beings, there was a hidden world known as the “The world of dreams''. This world was ruled by several dynasties of kings; One of the kings who brought greater prosperity to his people was Henry Dimitri. Henry married Ruby, the love of his life and had three children whom he called: Agustín, Sofía and Tristán. From youth, they instilled charity and instructed one day one of them will take place as king. The king's plans were to form an incredible city full of wonderful places, where all its inhabitants had everything they needed to have a better life.

He call the city "Coneria ". He and his children worked hard to make this dream come true. After many years of effort, Coneria was built and to protect the city, he formed a powerful army of warriors known as Jytsis. Henry was happy and satisfied, and Sofia his only daughter supported him throughout the creation. Henry kept his daughter in a secret place and drove her away from all evil. He decided to make a long trip, and when he left, he gave the reign the chance to choose a new king.
The people chose Augustine. Tristan his brother, full of envy and resentment, never accepted the decision, since he considered that he was the oldest and he should be the one elected. Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
Full of hate, he retired to a distant place and took most of Jytsis with him. With each passing day, Tristan turned into a more ambitious being; finally, decided to kidnap his brother, inventing a story that spread among all the inhabitants; He said that He have been devoured by one of the twelve dragons on the outskirts of the inhabited earth. It had happened while visiting one of the most remote villages in the kingdom.
He had plans to kill him, but Augustine's advisors never believed the story; they suspected from the beginning that was a lie and of his ambition by being king. Tristan along with thousands of Sniglers (wild creatures that live in a remote town on the outskirts of the city) and a good part of Jytsis, formed a powerful army. His plans were to take possession of Coneria and each of the existing regions and form an authoritarian regime.
After several months of searching, they finally managed to identify the place where he was imprisoned. It was a dark dungeon used in previous regimes to sacrifice disobedient warriors, the remains of several of them were still found. After facing a gang of thousands of sniglers that surrounded the place and attacked with small bows arrows, Augustine guards managed to rescue him. He was weak and malnourished; His face looked pale and had several bumps and burns on his body. It took three long months to recover physically and mentally. At the appropriate time, one of his counselors announced Tristan's plans.
Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
Disappointed of his brother and worried about the future of his reign, he looked for solutions. He knew he needed a lot of power to defeat his brother's army. He knew that forming a well-prepared army would take time and he had to act fast. Thinking about several options, he recalled that his father had mentioned the existence of a magic book, which was hidden in an old palace surrounded by a maze. This book had the power to create a powerful army extracted from imaginary creatures. The book was known as King Hurton's book. His father had mentioned his existence in case of an emergency; Augustine thought it was time.
The book was a secret that only King Henry Dimitri knew and shortly before his departure he shared it with his son Augustine. Tristan on the other hand was unaware of its existence.
Recovering the book was much more complicated than it seemed; Only a few could do it. The Palace of King Hurton was in a memory area and the only ones who could access these points were beings outside the World of Dreams, with a great capacity of imagination. The only ones known to have these qualities were humans. In addition, this surrounding labyrinth, known as "The Labyrinth of Terror", is considered an extremely dangerous place from which no one has been able to leave. The only humans to be intertwined with the World of Dreams were children and those with the special gift.

Charlie received a strong push and the book fell from his hands. He turned quickly to find out who he was and realized that they had been jugglers who had just arrived at the place where he was reading. Although he wanted to continue reading, he stopped, because they attracted several creatures that crowded where he was and had only a small space to leave. Practically he crawled out and received several pushes and bruises. After this unpleasant episode, he reached a quiet place where he could continue reading. He had so many questions and still could not find the answer of why he was in this exceptional and fantastic place. - Maybe the book gives me this answer? Though. He would discover it very soon in the part of the book he had not read. Very close to where he was, he found another apparently quiet place and, trying to feel comfortable, he was going to continue reading the book, but several giant butterflies of exotic colors appeared to distract him. He closed the book and said: - Well, I will have to find another place to continue reading. In saying this, he took out the note with which he had initially dreamed and that the mysterious knight in the blue coat had given him. When he dropped the book, he had also thrown the note, which was stained and wrinkled. After cleaning it and stretching it a little, he prepared to read it.

Charlie held the note and with great anxiety, began to read it hurriedly. The note said:
Dear visitor: Welcome to the world of fantastic creatures created by the imagination and place where dreams come true. In the course of your visit to this magnificent world, you will be chosen to carry out an important mission. Below is a map of the city of Coneria, where you are currently; you must use it to find a very special place called: The Hall of Dreams.

- That's funny. What could It be what I have expected so much? Confused and excited, carefully observed the map where he found a street called "Carnival Street", whose appearance and references were similar to the place in which he found himself. He analyzed the map again and found the Hall of Dreams. According to the plan he had to follow the Carnival Street, go through the fair and then reach the central square. Here was where the Hall of Dreams was located. He put the map in one of the pockets of his pants, the book and note he placed it in one of the bags of his sweatshirt and started walking.
The place was full of creatures he had never seen; maybe only in storybooks and in his overflowing imagination. In the middle of the street, a parade of toys passed and when he approached, found a very small man wearing a weird outfit with endless dry leaves of different types of trees and unknown colors; all stuck in a messy way and the head covered by a hood with a visor also with leaves; all cut in half vertically. Unable to hide his astonishment, he said: - How strange he is dressed! Not only him but most of them in this place. Each had a different style. Never before in his life have he had seen beings that were so weird, not even in movies. The little man realized his expression; He looked at him and, to his surprise, approached him, greeted him and said: -Hello, my name is Snorf and I'm a Wart. Charlie was surprised at the friendly attitude, since in his country, or rather in his world, they would never have received him that way; Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
He felt bad after judging him for his clothes, as he had. He shook his hand happily and a little embarrassed greeted him: -Hello, I'm Charlie, from planet Earth. I suppose. - What is the planet Earth? He was very attentive to the answer he was going to give him. For a moment he was scared, since he studied Natural Sciences for more than two years and did not know what to answer. Finally he said: -The planet Earth is where humans live; it is the third planet in the solar system and the only one where life exists; well that's what I knew until I appeared in this place. He was going to keep talking about planet Earth, but the little man interrupted him and said: -Oh! Then you are a human; this is the first time I've talked to one; I have studied them but I have never seen them, only in photos, but you do not look like one of them. After saying this, the mysterious man took a picture of his hood and said: -Look, I have one with me; Look at it and you will see that they are different from you. -So, according to this little man, I'm the stranger ... Hasn’t he sees himself in a mirror? Charlie thought. To his surprise, the photo was of an ape and he said indignantly: -Oh no! You are mistaken; this photograph is of an ape, not of a human being. Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
-How curious! The report I have speaks very well of these beings. They say they are extremely intelligent, since they live in trees and have turned them into their habitat. Thoughtful and not knowing what to say, he reflected a moment; He was ashamed of not being able to say the same about human beings, in terms of their relationship with trees and nature. So he preferred to change the conversation and asked: -So you're a Wart, Who are the Warts? The Warts live in the North, our territory consists of several regions where the famous region of small beings is; this is where I come from. Also inhabits the Lerds, who live on the South and its territory consists of ten regions, including the favorite of most, known as "The region of the imagination." In the East is the territory of the combatants and in the West, the territory of the wise and the royal palace. If you do not know we are in the World of Dreams. -Oh! So I definitely found myself in the World of Dreams. Well, I understand that we are in the Carnival Street, in which region is this? Is it the territory of the Warts or the Lerds? -Now we are in ConerĂa, the city where imagination comes alive. It is in this place where both Warts and Lerds from different regions come together. Here you find the Coliseum, the Central Plaza, the fair, Carnival Street and other streets, where you can find stores of what you want and different restaurants like: Eat and fly, where

everything fly’s around you and hotels like the Emperor's Castle of small beings, where everything is much smaller in size.
Wanting to know who the mysterious man of his dreams was, he began to describe him to see if he knew him and when the little man was going to answer him, several children who played, ran and pushed and who took the worst part was the small man who left. Charlie searched everywhere, but it was useless, since there were many creatures and it was difficult to find someone in the crowd, mainly because he was only about ninety centimeters tall. Suddenly, he realized that from the parade floats they threw colored balls of three colors: red, blue and green. Many of the children gathered to pick them up and to his surprise one of them said: -Pick the red ones, they are the ones that are worth the most. He still didn't know what they were for or why they were worth more, but he decided to participate in the game and try to catch some; He followed the children abruptly. Excited, he and the children waited intently until they passed throwing balls again. Charlie looked at a ball that came straight to where he was; He reached out and caught it; it was not red, but green; for him, the same gave him a color than another, since he didn't know what they were for. The children kept running for the entire carnival, waiting for more floats to throw more balls and thought: -Well, at least I'll find out what they are for. He held one of the children and asked: -Excuse me, what are the balls for? Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
-You do not know? -Do not! -For each ball that you catch you get a surprise, the best are when you catch the red balls. -Well, I catch a green one. Will they give me something good? -The green are the second best; if you want to change it, follow me to King Henry Toys Store and I'll take you; also I have to change mines. The boy had two balls in his hands: one was green and the other blue. He had not answered yes, when the boy had already run to the place. Charlie felt curiosity of what he would get and decided to follow him. The Wart children drove him down the street where the toy store was. To cross the street they went through an underground tunnel. He was really impressed with the place; He had never seen anything so beautiful. He had the impression that it was a theme park. The tunnel was made of mirrors and when he looked carefully through them, he visualized images of different characters of the place. Among them was who had given him the book and the note. When he saw it, he smiled and a message appeared indicating his name: "Augustine". Charlie thought: -Oh! So you are the character in the book. What I still don't understand is what you want from me?

Something that surprised him was that he could understand everything that the creatures of this world said, just like them to him. Apparently, everything was translated into the same language.
Soon they arrived to King Henrys Toys Store. The biggest He had ever seen. There were all kinds of toys, whatever he could imagine. At the entrance was a huge collection of dolls of all sizes. He went to observe them and realized that there were some who moved and others who spoke. When he was about to enter, a toy train was passing. The store was divided into several sections: table games, dolls, control remote cars, airplanes, boats, and helicopters, puzzle ... Other section of trains, video games, robots, balls and other mysterious ones that he had never imagined they existed. The toys were extraordinary and as he watched with amazement, the boy told him he could choose among all those with a signal color of the ball that was caught; there were so many that it was very difficult to choose. Charlie selected a telescope, thinking it might be useful on his trip, especially since it had the night vision function and allowed him to see through the walls. Fortunately, the tag was the same color as the ball he had caught; very excited he took it. The child, who had taken him to the toy store, had chosen two dolls representing fighters. Charlie looked at the dolls and asked: - So you like fighter dolls? -Yes, enough, I collect them. Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
The boy invited him to follow him to the fighting doll section. When he was in this sector, he began to point out, teach and say the name of the different fighting dolls; He realized that among all, there was one who represented the mysterious lord of his dreams. Charlie took it, interrupted him and asked: -Is he Augustine? Do you know him? The boy gave him a strange look and when he shook his head he replied: -Yes, it's him. - I don't know him, but I know that Augustine is the highest authority and few are the lucky ones who know him. By the way, they say that he is very powerful and that if he fought in the coliseum, he would defeat any of the fighters I collect. Few have seen him fight, but they tell several stories of him; one of them says that on one occasion he defeated three dragons only with his sword, without anyone's help. Charlie was surprised, remembered he had to go to the Hall of Dreams and told the child: I'd love to be me with you watching the rest of the fighter dolls, but I must go to the Hall of Dreams. -Don't worry, I also have to go; I still need twelve fighter dolls and I have to keep picking up balls to complete the collection. Charlie already wanted to leave the toy store and asked the boy: - Who do I give the ball to? The boy took him to a counter and said: -To them. There were green goblins on the counter, with four ears and a purple beard. They wore a red cap, very small from which the four ears stood out. They had a flat and droopy nose. Hastily, without losing another minute, he approached and handed him the telescope he had chosen to one of the elves. -It is five Cons. He was surprised; he had no idea what a Con was. -What is a Con? It's the currency of Coneria but you do not worry, you just have to give the ball. Charlie showed the ball to the goblin, he took a bag that looked like a backpack, placed the item and looking at it with distaste he said: -Next. He saw behind him and noticed that there were five more children in line. He hadn't even realized when they had arrived. He saw the goblin again and thought: - What unfriendly! He took the book, the note and the map with which he had appeared in this world and put it in his backpack. When he was leaving the toy store, he asked the child: - Do you know the shortest way to reach the Hall of Dreams? Take the Cable Cars, you can approach it five blocks from where we are. I will not accompany you because I must continue collecting balls. Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
He said goodbye to the boy and continued on his way. He felt the backpack began to vibrate and at the watch, he realized that was the book. Frightened, he pulled it out, looked for a quiet place and away from the crowd opened it. He sat on a bench to continue reading. Anyway, He still had several questions; maybe in the book he would find the answers.

Chapter 4
Charlie discovers that not everything is as wonderful as he imagines. Evil appears like weeds in plants. We constantly have to live a life where the existence of evil is inevitable. Let us always be light in our lives and those of others.

Charlie opened the book in the exact place where he had stayed and began to read. Like the previous time, every word in the book was accompanied by extraordinary images. The book continued like this: The king thought of several options to solve his problem, which was that the only human beings who possessed the gift of intertwining with the world of dreams were less than thirteen; In addition, the opportunities for interlocking were few and not all connected at the same time. He was also worried about the average age of those who were linked, which was eight years old. He knew that to succeed he had to have teenagers or verily teenagers; otherwise, it would be almost impossible to carry out this important mission. In addition, they must be intelligent, persevering, upright and, at the same time, pure in thought and heart. The records indicated that the oldest human being who had been able to connect to the world of dreams had achieved it at age twelve. Augustine, who knew it, was very worried. The labyrinth that surrounded King Hurton's palace known as "The labyrinth of terror" is an extremely dangerous place; He should find an excellent strategy to get the book. Knowing how delicate and important the mission was, he developed a plan to attract the greatest number of young people who had this special gift to this place. The plan was to give them a note in their Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
dreams, exactly at the point where they could relate to this world. To achieve this, they would have to be in a dream of rapid eye movements and they would have to reach this point in less than fifteen minutes, something difficult to achieve. Augustine believed that if they had enough imagination, they would visualize the note and, upon reading it, would reach this dream state in a short time, which would allow them to intertwine. The selection process was extremely important; They had to be teenagers or almost teenagers. His main concern was that those who possessed this special gift were generally children under nine. He turned the page and saw the image of a character who had the face of a skull with eyes of fire, braided hair and, instead of skin, seemed to have fish scales. His snout was pointed, with sharp teeth and an evil laugh. It was scary. He got scared and wondered: Who could it be? Why is there no information about him in the book? Soon he began to feel that the bench where he was sitting was moving. -That´s weird? Suddenly, he realized that the bench started talking to him. -Well! You are heavy! What do you think you are to sit on top of me?

He got scared and immediately got up. At first, he thought it was his imagination, but then he realized that the bench was talking to him. After everything he had seen, he could expect anything. -Well, aren't you a bench? - For your information, I am not a bench but a Smerg. Meanwhile he said this, changed shape and became a kind of
turtledove of various colors. -By the way, my name is Nify and I have been very comfortable and calm in this place, until you decided to sit on me. Charlie, worried, apologized and surprised asked: -What do you do to change shape? -Each one of our species can change to ten different forms and you‌ who are you? -My name is Charlie -And what brings you here? -That's what I try to discover. All I know is that I must go to a place called The Hall of Dreams, do you know about it? -Yes, but I have never entered. The Hall of Dreams is a place where very few have had the opportunity to enter and, from what I have heard, it is impressive, magical and full of unparalleled surprises. -I hope you're right, since I'm going there. In saying this, the creature changed shape to a butterfly. - Have you seen my relatives that are similar to my current appearance? Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
-I think so, recently I just saw four butterflies that look like the shape you have now. In saying this, he explained where he had seen them; the creature said goodbye happily and flew in that direction. As he watched the creature rise through the skies, he saw a human girl go by, who was going very fast and before losing sight of her, decided to follow her.

Chapter 5 A new friend joins Charlie's trip. Life is more entertaining when someone accompanies us. Charlie discovers that his trip will not be as easy as he thought. In life many times we will have to face adverse moments, but it is part of what each hero has to live. Each of us is a potential hero.

The girl did not stop and following her saw several stores. There was one where the walls, also the windows and everything inside, were made of caramel. Then he went through a chocolate shop. He could even see some children eating part of the front door. A cotton caramel and caramel apples store, another one with hats, puzzles, popsicles, popcorn and exotic drinks caught his attention, until finally the girl stopped. She was light brown skin, brown hair, big eyes and athletic build. She also had a bracelet. The girl tripped and Charlie managed to hold her before she fell to the ground. She thanked him and asked: -Are you a human? -Yes -Who are you? - I'm Julie, I'm human too. - Nice to meet you! - Do you know where I can find the Hall of Dreams? I have to go to this place and I lost the map they gave me where It indicated how to get there. -Well, what a coincidence, because I'm looking for it too. -I have an idea of how to find this place and if you want I will guide you, since I will also go there. I don't know if the same thing happened to you, but I imagine you appeared in this fantastic place with a book, a note and a map in your hand. - Yes, and the most curious thing is that I had dreamed before with the note. At first I dreamed that I entered a crystal castle and then a gentleman with a black beard handed me the note, which looked Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
blurry, so I tried to read it, but I couldn't. I tried to remind myself of the note and when I did, I appeared in this place. Charlie, surprised, replied: -What a coincidence! The same thing happened to me. -Did you like the place? -The place is amazing! I never imagined that something like that existed. It is like in dreams. By the way: Do you already know the dark room? -No, I have no idea. What is it about? -It's great, you come in and everything shines. You walk through a garden where everything is phosphorescent and thousands of insects similar to fireflies surround you when you walk; then you climb some steps that give you the feeling that you are entering the space. In the end, you leave and arrive at an area where you can see a splendid sky, where hundreds of birds of different colors and sizes pass. Then you arrive at some caves, and inside there is a restaurant that seems to be sculpted in brightly colored stones, which emanate a surprising glow of light. It is incredible. Charlie did not have the opportunity to enter the dark room, but he did had to King Henry toy store: - Have you already entered the toy store? -No, not yet, but what's the matter with you, you 're crazier than a goat. Why am I going to enter a toy store, if the whole parade is about toys, toys and more toys?
Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
Charlie was surprised at the unexpected way Julie responded; even more with the little confidence they had. I still didn't know Julie and it seemed like abuse. He replied annoyed: -Well, that's what you say, because you haven't entered. I tell you a little more for you to inform yourself. While Charlie tried to tell Julie what the toy store was like and his experience with the colored balls to her new incredulous friend, a man went on to hand out flyers. The brochures were from a pet store that was one block from where they were. He said: -If you are looking for the pet of your dreams, we have it. Julie, who was fascinated by animals, very excited, told her to accompany her to that store. Since childhood she was a pet lover. She was twelve years old and lived in San Diego, very close to the famous zoo. Her father was a renowned veterinarian and worked as a director of surgery at the zoo; for work reasons she had to take different animals to her home. Julie's daily illusion was to see what new animal he had brought. She had had the opportunity to see several birds, lions, iguanas, zebras and even a giraffe. Her father, on many occasions, brought newborn animals and had a room with incubators, to which Julie secretly entered and caressed them without her father noticing. She had two dogs that she picked up on the street, an otter hidden in the bathtub of her room, that mysteriously disappear from her Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
father´s truck, a one-eyed cat, a collection of fish, a goat that fed on ornamental plants (from the gardens neighbors), an intelligent monkey of very good manners, two turtles out of the ordinary, a turkey that was saved from Thanksgiving and a talkative macaw, who imitated the news. All these animals were their pets. They followed the directions on the pamphlet and almost immediately found it. Julie was anxious to enter, ran hurriedly towards the entrance, where some macaws were, but with very vivid color combinations, which she had never seen, not even in the bird books her father had. There were exotic fish, miniature dolphins, dogs with seal bodies, canaries with three legs, iguanas with phosphorescent colors, mice with rabbit ears and other very strange animals. Julie caught her attention about speaking gekos. They had a peculiar vocabulary and made her laugh when they called Charlie big-eared boy. They looked like parrots and one of them repeated several times: -Big ear boy, get me out of here.
Charlie was worried, touched his ears to see if it was true. Then he told Julie: -What an unpleasant creature! She, who on the contrary thought it was nice, wanted to have it and insisted on buying it. Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
Charlie told her it was impossible, because they had no money. In what they were discussing, one of the store employees told them: -I realized that you like a Lich. -What is a lich? -It's the animal you just saw. The liches are friendly animals, who like to share with their masters. As you may have noticed, they talk, they change color, also have the advantage of living on air, so it is not necessary to feed them. They are the favorite pets here in Coneria. They also have the ability to heal wounds. Charlie believed everything to the man except that she was friendly. The man took the lich and began to stroke it. While stroking it, the animal fell asleep. Julie looked at him with tenderness and a sigh escaped and an expression of longing to have it. The man realized and said: -If you want it, you can have it, -Yes, but how, if I don't have money to buy it. -If you are human, it doesn't matter, just show your card and you can buy whatever you want. -What card? She asked touching the pants bags. Then she realized that in one of them she had a plastic card. -It is this? -Yes! Said the store dependent. The card had her picture and the name in italics. She was surprised, because nobody had given it to her. She really had no idea how it

got into her pants bag; She was happy to get the animal. She took the strange creature and said: -Well, I'll give you a name now. Are you man or woman? I think you're a girl, I know, I'll call you Lucy. Charlie had heard everything and mocked, repeated: -Lucy. Cute! And if it were a male, why not, crocodile droppings? Julie frowned and saw him with some anger. However, she was happy to have it; so she took the lich and placed it in a small backpack and, after doing this, approached the store clerk to ask him more questions about the animal. - Excuse me sir, can I ask you some questions? The man nodded. At that moment, Charlie left the store and, when he left, felt the vibrations of the book inside the backpack. He sat on the sidewalk, opened it and looked for the exact place where he had stayed. He went to the page where he had seen the mysterious character and saw him again. This time he carried a sword with a scorpion's badge on his right hand. He had a firm and penetrating gaze and an evil laugh. He got scared and changed the page; he realized that four pages were missing that seemed to have been torn off. The one that followed had a message that said: "The great battle is approaching" He heard a sharp noise and a hooded black elf appeared out of nowhere, approached him and asked: Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
-Are you the one of the prophecy? -What prophecy? -A farce that they have been spreading for thousands of years. They say that certain Charlie will defeat my master. Besides, he still didn't understand why the book mentioned that the youngest human who had been able to connect with the world of Dreams was twelve years old and he was thirteen. -Who could be the master of this hooded elf? Suddenly, he heard a great scandal at the door of the store and managed to differentiate the shouts of the manager, who rebuked Julie for leaving immediately. He exclaimed rudely that he would file a complaint with the correspondent for such bad treatment and abuse. Finally, she took her new pet and several bags with accessories and utensils she had gotten for the Lich, and left the store furiously. Charlie approached her to ask what had happened. -When you left the store, the man who treated us treated me very badly. All I did was ask some things about Lucy, such as: Why didn't she eat? How many hours did she sleep? ¿ If she had a family? If she should buy something else to take care of it? How old was he and if he really was male or female? and yes ... -Good, good. - He will have taken you out of so many questions you asked. -The truth is that until that moment he treated me very well, he even gave me all these things that I bring and that I chose carefully. Charlie, incredulous, looked at the large number of bags and asked: -But, what do you have inside those bags. -Some things necessary to properly care for Lucy. -But what's the matter, you're crazy! How do you think we are going to be able to walk with all this? We don't even know how much we need to walk. Imagine, if you could barely get them out of the store door here. I don't think all this you chose is really useful. -How do you think it is not necessary? Lucy is just a baby and needs many things. -Show me what is supposed to be so necessary for this animal. Let's see‌ -What is this? -It is a container for his biological needs. -What! You chose a potty, if she doesn't even eat! -What is this?

-It is a hammock or portable swing; It is very useful for her emotional stability. -What do you say? That awful and talkative thing can never have stability in anything. The store clerk was really right to get you out! -What are you talking about? -If he didn't take me for what I took, I think he got upset when I asked him why his feet were so big, or maybe ..., when I asked him where he got those huge shoes, mmm ..., but I think It was finally when I saw that he had a lump behind him, inside his suit and I thought he had stolen something of what I had selected, so I told him to show me what he had hidden. -But what did you do? -He had nothing hidden, it was a big hump. -WHAT A SHAME! -What a pity! He was right to be upset. -Well, now you will have to return all those absurd things, including the horrible creature; we must leave as soon as possible, otherwise we will be late for our destination. -Not even crazy I would return Lucy. -Okay, do not return Lucy, but all her absurd luggage. Is more, I will leave it personally. -Well, she said. -Do it yourself, because I already broke relationships with this store. -I think so.

With courage he took all the packages, walked to the store to face such shame. He arrived at the place, greeted in a friendly and extremely nervous manner; upon entering, he asked to speak with the person in charge of the pet area; the hunchbacked man arrived. After offering endless apologies for all the awkward comments of his partner, he returned all the items Julie had chosen. In the end, the employee gave her a special necklace for Lucy, as a gift, and told her to take care and make sure Julie treated her well; He gave a series of recommendations. Charlie left the store and handed Julie the necklace to put on her pet; He told her that the hunchback had given him a gift and had also given him recommendations that he would share at the time and that they should go to the Hall of Dreams. Charlie knew that the closest way was to take the cable cars; He told her new friend to be attentive. Fortunately, a block later the cable cars appeared. They both rejoiced and ran off in their search. There were few users, luckily, it took them a short time to go through the line. -Go ahead. A giant blue rabbit with a white face told them. Then another rabbit of the same color told them: -Wait for the vehicle to stop completely, take a seat.

It was the second time Charlie got on a cable car. The first time he had been was with his father and his cousins, in Bush Gardens. This trip had been stored among his memories forever. His father was an insurance salesman and, when he made a good sale, he used to take them to the amusement parks that were very close to his house. His favorite park was Epcot Center and his favorite attraction was Test Trac. The car was modern and had two rows of seats, six people fit. From the carriage you could see the entire street of the carnival and the parade: marching soldiers, giant teddy bears, dolls of all kinds, dogs, clowns, balls and other toys. The whole parade was synchronized; the toys moved to the rhythm of the music of the floats. It seemed they were competing to see which one was the best. Charlie liked one of clowns and pampering, it was a lot of fun. In the distance they managed to see a square that had an artistic figure in the center, in the form of a spiral and giant letters that said: "Central Plaza of Coneria ". Charlie told Julie that it was surely the place where the Hall of Dreams was. To the fate of both, the cable car carried them in that direction. After the carnival street they went through the fair. There they observed food stalls, a circus with a big tent and its surroundings, several trapeze artists doing practices. After a long trip, finally, the cable car approached a stop. Charlie looked at the map and realized that it had changed. Now the street of the carnival did not appear, but other streets, and there was a point in Written by: Alvaro Rodrigo Pellecer Benavides Literary Works certificate number: 2019-00020 DAC
one of them, which was called "The Street of the Walk". According to the map, “The Street of the Walk would take them directly to the central square, so all they had to do was take it. Anyway, they were already close there. When they got off the cable car, Charlie noticed a young man who looked like a human being. Finding the Hall of Dreams was something Charlie, Julie and Jack looked forward to. Many times we hope to reach our goals as if we were looking for the Hall of Dreams. As Charlie, Julie and Jack enjoyed the trip in the same way we should find the joy of the trip.

In the street of the Walk they observed several outdoor businesses such as: restaurants, cinemas, shows, among them: plays, pet shows, pampering and clowns. They also saw many food stores and, watching one of cakes, Julie astonished ran to the place and Charlie followed her. The store was huge, upon entering, they realized that there was a giant cake in the center where they presented samples. In the surroundings there were thousands of small cakes of all kinds and the creatures of the place took baskets where they placed the selected cakes to take them. Inside this store they found the boy Charlie had seen from the cable car. By the way he was dressed, they realized he was a human being. He had selected several miniature cakes and was paying, he used his card. Something that also caught their attention was that he wore a bracelet like them. Julie was eager to talk to him. - Are you also looking for the Hall of Dreams? -Yeah that's right! I imagine that you, like me, appeared in this unknown place with this note in your hand. Well, we are finally close. According to the map, this street takes us directly to the central square. By the way, my name is Jack. And who are you? -I'm Charlie and she is Julie; If you want you can come with us. -Thanks, the truth is that it would be more exciting and cheerful. They stood for a moment in silence and then Jack said:

-By the way, I don't know what I've done to be in this place. Maybe I read many fantasy books. He also liked comics and had already completed a fairly large collection. He was eleven years old and lived in Shanghai. He was tall for his age, thin, black hair, slanted eyes and honey color, small nose and was wearing magnifying glasses. He was intelligent and attended a special school for children and young people with an IQ higher than normal. Despite being an excellent student, he had many friends and liked to play football. Lucy did not stop showing up. He left the backpack and said: -Hello frog mouth child. You are so thin that you look like a hoe. Would you accompany us as the boy with big ears? Jack was surprised to hear the animal's comments and Julie died of shame and apologized to them. He took Lucy and placed her in her backpack. Upon leaving, they found a strange creature that looked like a white monkey dressed as a clown; the creature approached them and asked: -Are you human beings? -Yes! Charlie replied -Why you ask? - Out of curiosity. It is the first time I look at so many of you. Everyone seems to be entering the famous Hall of Dreams. -Are you also going to this place? -Yes, it is correct. -How happy. The Hall of Dreams is used for celebrations and fairs; they organize them in a spectacular way. Now they celebrate the Children's Fair. I have already seen hundreds of them pass, but you are the first to wear a bracelet. Out of curiosity, did anyone give them to you? Charlie replied: -No, nobody. We appeared in this place with them on the wrist. What do you think it means? -I do not know for sure. What I can tell you is that they are summoning humans to carry out an important mission. It's something secret and the only ones who know are the king's advisors and of course, your highness Augustine. Maybe you are some of them. By the way, The Hall of Dreams is very close to here. The monkey pointed to an artistic figure of a spiral and said: -Here is where you should go. Saying this, he took out three candy popsicles and three whistles, and handed them to them while saying: -Try them and use them, they are to celebrate. -We will do it. The three received the monkey's gifts; they thanked him and said goodbye.

When tasting the palettes they realized the exquisite taste they had. Julie had been the first to try and caused laughter. Charlie to make her laugh more, told jokes and the three had a lot of fun. After a long walk they reached the spiral-shaped artistic figure. It was in the square they had seen from the cable car. The square was large, with abstract artistic figures that looked like spirals of all sizes. They observed beautiful fountains with colored water, all covered with flowers similar to sunflowers, where an exquisite aroma of rose petals was diffused. Around the central square were embassies of each of the different regions of the place. Each had its own special decoration, as well as its own specimens, which personally attended to visitors and provided all kinds of information. To the bottom, you could see a coliseum of magnitude never seen, huge walls that resembled the Chinese wall. Many kilometers away it was difficult to see, as it was designed in such a way that it was lost on the horizon to be part of the landscape. They looked at everything with great astonishment, but could not find the Hall of Dreams; until they finally heard a loud scream. It was Julie who had finally found it. Excited by her discovery, she shouted: -There it is!!! Charlie and Jack approached her happily, celebrating, blowing the whistles, clapping and smiling happily.
