Welcome to the October issue of the Ackworth Arrow
As the nights draw closer, we find ourselves ready to embrace the changing season. Autumn is a time of transformation – the trees burst into vibrant shades, and the excitement of events like Halloween and Autumn fayres fill our calendars. However, as we say farewell to what has been a somewhat fleeting summer, I can't help but notice a slight irritation with the early arrival of certain seasonal treats. Is it just me, or does seeing mince pies on sale in late August feel a bit premature? Don't get me wrong, I love a good mince pie – in fact, I have a bit of a crush on them! But seeing them lining the shelves so early feels like skipping over autumn entirely.
As the leaves turn golden and we cozy up with warm drinks, let's take a moment to appreciate the unique charm of autumn. There’s plenty of time for winter festivities – so for now, let's savor the pumpkins, bonfires, and the special glow of this season.
The November issue deadline for adverts and content is Monday 14th October. The Arrow will be delivered by 1st November.
