I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and are now looking forward to the start of 2025. This year, the Christmas events have truly shone a light on the dedication, talent, and generosity of our volunteers. We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate their efforts.

From the heartwarming carol singing, Christmas parties, to the laughter and magic of the local pantomime, and the bustling excitement of the Christmas fayres, every event has been a testament to the hard work and creativity of those who give their time and energy so selflessly. These cherished moments wouldn’t have been possible without the tireless dedication of our volunteers, who embody the true meaning of community spirit.

We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the contributors who bring this magazine to life every month. Your stories, insights, and updates not only help to keep us informed but also highlight the vibrancy of our community.

A special thank you must also go to our team of delivery people, who work rain or shine to ensure this magazine reaches your doorstep each month.

May the New Year bring joy, peace, and warmth to you and your loved ones.

The February issue deadline for adverts and content is Wednesday 15th January 2025. The Arrow will be delivered by 1st February.

Best Wishes

The Branton Litter Pick Team will meet on Saturday 25th January at Kilham Hall in Branton.

It’s great to see the numbers of bags we collect reducing since we started this group over 7 years ago. There are many people who don’t make the litter pick but make a conscious effort to help keep the village looking tidy.

Should you wish to join us, please arrive by 9.30am—we provide all equipment, please bring gloves and wear comfortable walking shoes and warm coat. We are finished by 11.30am at the latest.

Everyone is welcome, children must be supervised

Branton Coffee Club held our annual Christmas pie and peas coffee morning on Tuesday 3rd December.

What a wonderful time was had by all. Tony Vino was so entertaining and had everyone laughing and joining in. Delicious pie and peas, festive cakes and treats for everyone. It was a pleasure to be a part of it and see everyone so happy.

We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

KILHAM HALL PANTOMIME TIME

On Saturday 14th December, Kilham hall welcomed local residents to their annual Christmas pantomime.

160 subsidised tickets sold out after going on sale at the local Premier store in Branton—thank you to Hardy and the team for managing this on our behalf.

The event was a huge success and great fun was had by all. Thanks goes to all the volunteers who helped organize the event and to the touring company for a super performance of Hansel and Gretel.

This event couldn’t happen without the financial support of Cantley with Branton Parish Council who make a healthy contribution and help keep the cost to a minimum for residents.

Kilham Hall organise the event to thank the users of the hall for their support over the year.

We hope you had a fabulous Christmas and wish you love and happiness in 2025.

Thank you to everyone who uses our beautiful Kilham Hall.

Kilham Hall Management Committee.

New Orchid at Kilham Park in Branton

On Friday 13th December, children from Branton St Wilfrid’s Primary School came to Kilham Hall to help Steve the Parish Council Gardener and Councillor Gibbins to plant 10 fruit trees on site.

Fun was had by all and the end result looks great, we can’t wait to see these trees grow, however, none of the trees were labelled so we will wait in suspense to which turn out to be either cherry, apple, fig or pear.

Children's Air Ambulance Charity benefits from local resident’s Christmas Spirit.

Every year down Kingsmead Drive, Beryl and her late husband Jack, decorated their house for Christmas!

They absolutely loved the reaction from children and adults alike who take detours to ensure they don’t miss this spectacular Christmas display.

So Beryl decided this year should be no different, with help from family, the garden display is as bright and beautiful as ever.

Beryl has decided to raise funds for a well known charity, the Children's Air Ambulance Service. What a fantastic idea and for such a worthy charity. Thank you for bringing joy to us all.
