The Crowle Entertainers are once again presenting their annual pantomime and this year they are taking a look at the classic story Treasure Island – but mixing it up with a celebrity game show!! There are lots of characters

from all your favourite fairy stories and pantomimes – Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Maleficent, Mary Poppins and many more, together with the most colourful and eccentric band of pirates you are ever likely to see! Throw in a dame or two, a pantomime cow with a bit of a split personality, a few baddies and, of course, a wonderful good fairy who makes everyone's wishes come true...and you have a recipe for a fun, family panto with something to please everyone. Performances will take place on Saturday 13th January at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and on Sunday 14th January at 2.30pm at the Crowle Community Hall. Tickets, priced £5 and £3.50 for concessions are available from Crowle Tesco, the Regen Shop, Crowle or Fancyland in Epworth or by calling 01724 711212 or 01427 873947. Please note that there is an additional 50p charge for tickets bought on the door, so advance purchase or booking is highly advisable.

Become a Dementia Friend We will all know at some time in our lives, or already know, someone with dementia. The Patient Participation Group at South Axholme Practice have teamed up with Alzheimer’s Society to show anyone who is interested how to become a Dementia Friend. A Dementia Friend learns a little bit more about what it's like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action, doing the small things that make a difference. Anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend. In fact, the pupils at South Axholme Academy have become Dementia Friends, as well as all the staff at South Axholme Practice. Now it is your turn! Dementia Friends is about learning more about dementia and the small ways you can help. From telling friends about Dementia Friends to visiting someone you know living with dementia, every action counts. This is the opportunity for you to come along and become a Dementia Friend. During this friendly and interactive session, you will increase your understanding of dementia, and think about the small things that you can do to make a difference to people affected by dementia in our community. It doesn’t take long, about an hour, and you will be most welcome at the Foreman Carter Centre, Westwoodside Playing Fields, Akeferry Road on 12th January 2018 at 1.30pm If you are interested in attending please email saxppg@gmail.com or phone 0753 5219 694
