Reflecting on 2022 we can only be reminded of all the changes and it seems each month there seems to be a new crisis to think about!

The rise of cost of living, the death of our queen, the continuing threat of Covid-19, the war in Ukraine and the turbulence in the government. Putting these aside we do have things to look forward to, groups and organisations in the Isle arranging evens and activities for everyone to get involved in and enjoy. We would love to hear from more organisations to promote your events please be in touch.

We hope you have an enjoyable festive season, spend time with friends and family, reflect on 2022 and look forward to the year ahead.

Belton All Saints Centre (Church Hall), Stocks Hill, Belton, DN9 1PE

Everyone is welcome, you don't have to be a member of the Wildlife Trust so please come along and join us. Entrance fee is £1. There will be refreshments and a raffle.

We meet on the 1st Thursday of the month and next month, Dec. 1st, we will be having a talk on the Wildlife of Derbyshire and the Peak District. Peter Dodd, Yeoman of the Guard is coming to speak about his role in guarding the British Monarchy and give insight into his part in the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. It promises to be a very informative and interesting evening. Start 7:30pm Members free - Visitors welcome £4

Crowle and District W.I. meet at 7.15pm on the 1st Thursday of the month at Crowle Community Hub, Market Hall, Crowle DN17 4LA. We have members from all over North and South Axholme and always give a warm welcome to new members. Our December 1st meeting is a talk by Messingham Zoo., how it started and about the animals.. Our January 23 meeting is our Christmas Dinner so we have no meeting on that occasion. Come along to any of the meetings and give us a go, we are very friendly.

Everyone is welcome to join Haxey Parish Walkers on a community walk of about four miles

month for the Axholme Neighbourhood Team. We have held a number of community engagements and been focussing on our priorities of youth anti social behaviour in Crowle, concerns regarding excess speed in Haxey and crime prevention work to reduce burglary. We have had feedback through our Humber Talking surveys with community concerns around drug use and supply and youth antisocial behaviour. We will be discussing with our partners plans to proactively address these issues. The team would like to welcome PC 393 Steve Brazzier. He will join PC 2373 Sarah Jackson as the second dedicated Neighbourhood Beat Officer for Axholme Wards. With 4 PCSO’s this raises the team number to 6 and shows a real commitment to Neighbourhood Policing in the area. December sees us launch our annual Op Yuletide force operation. This covers a number of areas where we see demand in the lead up to Christmas and New Year. Your Neighbourhood Team will be involved in crime prevention to minimise burglaries, policing the night time economy as Christmas parties get underway and keeping people safe at community events. We
