As promised last month we said we'd give you an update on our Lex Fest and how the day went. Well what can we say.... the sun certainly shone down on us, the day was an absolute scorcher! One of our committee members registered 38 degree's in their car and it absolutely felt like that and more in the heat of the day stood in the middle of Epworth Show Ground. But that did not put our supporters off who turned up in their drones set out to have a really good day out. The atmosphere was that of fun, laughter and enjoyment as people set up 'camp' on the field ready to sizzle in the sun. Our It's a Knockout Teams worked like Trojans as they jumped, climbed and bounced their way round the assault course cheered on by family and friends sat sunbathing on the sidelines with an ice cold beer in their hands. Shortly after this finished, a Tractor Run of around 100 different style tractors drove through the Showground followed shortly by the Father's Day egg and spoon races, the Dog Show, and the Magic Show. Meanwhile inside the marquee our bar staff worked tirelessly keeping guests supplied with ice cold drinks and food, our Committee members were busy running the raffle, cakes stand and tombola, and the face painter created some stunning artwork on people's faces. All in all a very successful day. So we hear you ask... what was the total amount of money raised from the event. Well we are very proud to announce that Lex Fest 2017 raised an incredible estimated ÂŁ4000.. We say estimated at this stage as money is still arriving from the It's a knockout sponsorship.. So we have a big big THANKYOU to each & everyone of you.... you are AMAZING & we are so proud to have you all as part of Pride of the Isle, without you, we simply couldn't do it!! #memoriesforlife đ&#x;’š Look out for Lex Fest 2018 details and all other planned events on our website www.prideoftheisle.co.uk. All enquiries about the charity, whether it's how to fundraise for us, how to help us in our mission, or how to join our committee, please contact us via the website and one of the committee members will be in touch. Pride of the Isle, creating memories for life!

This gorgeous boy is Donald, a very affectionate 4 year old boy who has recently come into Isle Rescue, and is looking for a new home. Donald is great with other cats and would be fine with kids, and would make a lovely family pet. He is just one of 15 cats currently in the Rescue looking for new homes. All of our older cats are neutered, fully vaccinated and micro-chipped. If you would like to come and meet any of our cats or dogs, please call Isle Rescue on 01427 728705 or check out our website- www.islerescue.co.uk for more details.”
