To start, I asked Boom to tell me if the NJCE big pretzel was as good as the NYCC big pretzel and whether there were enough blind bags. He was disappointed Tentacle Kitty did not have a booth there. Then Kal came back from hunting for Black Series fi gures, and they took turns telling me they planned to buy a bunch of Minecraft fi gures—specifi cally the Lego wither skeleton—and what they thought of the science stations. “It might have been that one with the Minecraft Lego mini figures with tools that didn’t resemble any Minecraft tools,” Kal said when I asked him if he remembered shopping at NJCE. “They might have been hoes.”
“We bought a shit ton of Minecraft figures,” Luis said when asked if he remembered any purchases. “They had some that were pre-packed or you could get them à la carte. The kids were very specific in the ones they wanted, so we didn’t get pre-packed.”
Betty wanted a bracelet to celebrate her love of Minnie Mouse, but the deal was better if we bought two, so Boom received one decorated for Pac-Man. —MV
