Betty took off running to catch up to the princesses after they checked in and walked to the back of the convention fl oor. She needed to touch Elsa’s sparkles, show them her new bracelet, and talk to them about their tiaras. I said several times, “Who needs to go all the way to Disney?” This was all believable enough for her.

“My favorite memory of the entire day will always be Betty chasing around a cosplayer dressed as Elsa,” Luis wrote. “In fact all my favorite memories of NJCE 17 are the kids being in awe of some of the cosplayers and wanting to have their pictures taken. Boom with Deadpool, Kal with various Star Wars characters, Betty chasing Elsa... They seemed to truly enjoy the wonderment of it.” —MV
