The first has limited control functions and the second allows for a large range of adjustments.

If provided, “PPE” or “CP_EURO” or “T_TIG” and “PM” can be connected in: x “PD” – direct polarity that is “PPE” or “CP_EURO” or “T_TIG” to the negative pole (-) e “PM” to the positive pole (+); x “PI” – reverse polarity that is “PPE” or “CP_EURO” or “T_TIG” to the positive pole (+) e “PM” to the negative pole (-).

PROCESS “MMA” When two metals are joined with a filler metal then the fusion is obtained with an electric arc. The filler materials are electrodes or metal coated rods with material deoxidizer.

For welders with output polarity connection “PPE” and “PM” in: x “PD” when electrodes are used with acid lining or rutile lining. x “PI”, when electrodes are used with basic coating or celluloid.

For other types refer to what is indicated by the manufacturer of the electrodes.

The inverter welders have the following automatic features: “HOT START”: the starting current with a value higher than the planned value. This helps the arc ignition.

“ARC FORCE”: To avoid that the electrode approaching the welding melt very quickly creates a short-circuit, the electronic equipment automatically increases the arc current value to eliminate that; “ANTI STICK”: the current value decreases immediately until it reaches a value to allow the electrode to be removed from the melt.

The operation of installation and electrical connections must be carried out with the welding machine off and disconnected from the main supply. PROCESS “TIG” In TIG welding the heat is produced by the electric arc between a nonconsumable electrode (tungsten) and the piece to be welded, by the flow of an inert gas (usually argon: Ar 99.5). The tungsten electrode is supported by a torch suitable for transmitting the welding current and protecting the electrode itself and the weld pool from atmospheric oxidation, by the flow of an inert gas (usually argon: Ar 99.5) which flows out of the ceramic nozzle For the welders with output polarity connection “T_TIG” and “PM” in “PD” or “PI” in relation to the type of material to be welded, generally need to contact the manager of the distribution network:

PROCESS “MIG”

Welding “MIG” is distinguished in: x “MIG GAS”: the material used is a metal in the form of a wire and the deoxidization and a gas, generally CO2, Argon or CO2+Argon. x “MIG NO-GAS”: the thread contains within the dioxidiser.

For the welders with output polarity connection “CP_EURO” and “PM” in: x “PI”, when welding in “MIG GAS”; x “PD”, when welding in “MIG NO-GAS”.

The inverter welders may have the following automatic features; x “MIG PULSE”: Modulates the welding power over time depending on the frequency and pulse. For example, if the frequency is 50Hz and the impulse is at 15% it has: o Total time 20ms (1s/50Hz); o Pulse time 3ms (20ms*15%).

02817,1* :,5( Open the door, place the spool on the reel of wire and insert the wire into the wire feeder (Fig. 4). On the reel is a clutch to maintain the wire always in shot.

Cut the first 10 cm (4 in) of the wire making sure that there are no impurities or distortions at the cut end.

Open the mobile arm of the wire feeder and insert the wire into the wire guide passing it through the feed roll’s groove and then reinsert the wire into the second alignment guide.

Adjust the pressure through the specially designed screw. In case the wire tends to unroll, you have to adjust the pressure through the designed screw. If the clutch causes an excessive friction and the driving wheel tends to slide, you have to decrease it until the wire advances evenly.

Screw the pressure gauge on the gas cylinder and clip the latticed hose to the pressure gauge and solenoid valve with a band as in fig 5B. Adjust the gas between 5 and 25 litres/minute.

(/(&7520$*1(7,& &203$7,%,/,7< Before installing the system or otherwise, carrying out any operation or transaction with the same, it is recommended that you read exhaustively this manual in consultation with the distributor or the manufacturer directly for any clarifications that may be required.

The generator, although it was built according to regulations, may generate electromagnetic disturbances or disturbance to telecommunications systems (telephone, radio, television) or control and security systems. Read the following instructions to eliminate or minimize interference: In order to meet the IEC 61000-3-11 requisite (Flicker), we recommend the connection of the welding points of the supply network interface having a lower impedance of Zmax = 0.24ohm.

The welding is not within the requirements of IEC 61000-3-12. If it is connected to a public network it is the responsibility of the installer or user to verify the possibility of the connection or if you need to contact the manager of the distribution network.

The user is responsible for installing and using the arc welding equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If electromagnetic disturbances are detected, then it should be the responsibility of the user of the arc welding equipment to resolve the situation with the technical assistance of the manufacturer. Do not modify the generator without the manufacturer’s approval.

Before installing arc welding equipment the user shall make an assessment of potential electromagnetic problems in the surrounding area.

The following should be taken into account: 1) Supply cables, control cables, signalling and telephone cables, adjacent to the arc welding equipment; 2) Radio and television transmitters and receivers; 3) Computer and other control equipment; 4) Safety critical equipment, for guarding of industrial equipment.

5) Medical equipment of the people around, for example the use of pacemakers and hearing aids.

6) Equipment used for calibration or measurement; 7) The electromagnetic immunity of other equipment in the environment. The user should ensure that other equipment being used in the environment is electromagnetic compatible. This may require additional protection measures; 8) Some problems can be resolved; doing welding and cutting operations in a time of day that other equipment it is not in use.

The size of the surrounding area to be considered will depend on the structure of the building and other activities that are taking place.

3XEOLF VXSSO\ V\VWHP Arc welding equipment should be connected to the public supply system according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. If interference occurs, it may be necessary to take additional precautions such as filtering of the public supply system. Consideration should be given to shielding the supply cable of permanently installed arc welding equipment, in metallic conduit or equivalent.

The shielding should be connected to the welding power source so that good electrical contact is maintained between the conduit and the welding power source enclosure.

0DLQWHQDQFH The equipment must undergo regular maintenance, according to the manufacturer's instructions. The coat and any access within it must be properly closed during the welding and cutting. The generator should not be changed or edited in any part thereof, except amendments provided by the manufacturer and authorized and executed by persons authorized by the manufacturer. In particular, the arc distance from the work piece and the stabilization devices, must be adjusted and maintained according to manufacturer's recommendations*. :HOGLQJ FDEOHV The welding cables should be kept as short as possible and should be positioned close together, running at or close to the floor level.

(DUWKLQJ RI WKH ZRUN SLHFH

A connection bonding the work piece to earth may reduce emissions in some instances. Care should be taken to prevent the earthing of the work piece increasing the risk of injury to users or damage to other electrical equipment.

Where necessary, the connection of the work piece to earth should be made by a direct connection to the work piece, but in some countries where direct connection is not permitted, the bonding should be achieved by suitable capacitance, selected according to national regulations.

6FUHHQLQJ DQG VKLHOGLQJ Screening and shielding of other cables and equipment in the surrounding area may alleviate problems of interference. Screening of the entire welding area may be considered for special applications.

This is an A class welding machine, designed for industrial applications: use in different environments could generate disturbs able to influence the electromagnetic compatibility.

The correct use of the welding machine is in the userâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s obligation.

The electrode or the welding wire, the guide roller space and all the metal parts that touch the welding wire are under voltage when the machine is on. A wrong installation or earthing of the machine are a risk. Electric installation must be carried out according to the safety rules. Â&#x192; Wear suitable clothing, possibly without protruding pockets, wear heavy duty shoes, high laced , and a head covering. Avoid synthetic clothes.

Â&#x192; Position the welding machine so it is stable on the work surface with a maximum 15% slope from the ground. Â&#x192; Insulate yourself from work and ground using dry insulation. Make sure the insulation is large enough to cover your entire area of physical contact with work and ground. Â&#x192; Do not use the machine in very damp places. If this is not possible make sure the switch and the lifesaving line are efficient. Â&#x192; If it is raining , remember that the machine is protected from drops but not from violent water jets or striking rain; disconnect the machine from the main power supply. Â&#x192; Be sure the work place is provided of a good earthing plant. Before making any electrical connection, make sure the rating data of the welding machine correspond to the mains voltage and frequency available at the place of installation. Â&#x192; Welding cables connection, maintenance, and repair must be carried out when the machine is off and disconnected from the main power supply.

Turn the machine off and disconnect it from the main power supply before replacing the worn parts of the torch. Â&#x192; Main power supply plug must have a suitable outlet.

Absolutely avoid modifying the plug. Â&#x192; Do not use damaged cables, of a smaller size than required or joined incorrectly. Keep cables dry, clean and protected from hot metal sparks. Â&#x192; The cable of power supply must not be used for aims different from those prescribed, especially it must not be used to carry or hang the machine. Do not bring the cable near heat, oil or sharp edges.

Frequently check the cable to detect possible damages or damaged wires-immediately replace any damaged cable- uncovered wires can kill. Â&#x192; Do not wrap earth cable, torch cable, power supply cable around your body. Â&#x192; Do not put metal wires in the air fins. Â&#x192; Do not touch the electrode when it is in contact with the piece to work on. Never simultaneously touch electrically hot parts of electrode holders connected to two welders. Avoid two people working simultaneously at the same machine. When the welding machine is not being used, pull out the power supply cable. Â&#x192; More than one welding machine working on the same piece, or two welders working on different pieces electrically connected, could cause an accumulation of no-load voltages between two different electrode holders or torches that can become dangerous, because the value reached is twice the prescribed one.

Avoid breathing these fumes and gases. In order to limit the production of fumes, before using the machine, clean the pieces to weld from rust, grease, oil and paint. Â&#x192; When welding, keep your head out of the fumes.

Â&#x192; Avoid the use of this machine in places without ventilation. Â&#x192; To drain fumes and gases produced during the welding in confined areas, air the place using aspirators with filters and/or opening windows and doors. Â&#x192; Do not weld in locations near chlorinated hydrocarbons coming from degreasing cleaning or spraying operations. The heat and rays of the arc can react with solvent vapors to form phosgene, highly toxic gas and other irritating products. Â&#x192; Do not carry out welding and cutting operations on coated metals such as zinced, leaded, or cadmium plated iron, unless coating is preventively removed from welding zone, the work place is well aired and, if necessary, the operator wears an air respirator.

Coatings and other metals containing these elements can produce toxic fumes when welded. Â&#x192; Operatorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s exposure to welding fumes should be periodically checked considerating fumes composition and concentration, and also the lenght of time of exposure. *$6 6725( &$1 &$86( '($'/< /(6,216 Always close the bottle valve when it is not being used.

+27 3$576 &$1 &$86( 6(5,286 %8516 Do not touch hot parts. Wait until the torch cools down before touching it or making any operation on it.

Â&#x192; Protect yourself and the others from sparks and hot metal. $1 (;&(66,9( 86( 2) 7+( 0$&+,1( &$1 &$86( ,7Âś6 29(5+($7,1* Allow the machine to cool down. Reduce the current or the work cycle before starting to weld again. The air fins are very important for itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s correct functioning. Do not cover them. Do not block air passage into the machine with filters or anything else.

12,6( &$1 '$0$*( +($5,1* The noise emitted depends on the work place conditions and on the possible adjustments effected.

The operator must check if the level of personal daily exposure â&#x20AC;&#x153;LEP,dâ&#x20AC;? is excessive, in other words 80dB (A) or higher. In such case it is obligatory to use adequate devices for personal protection: use the suitable ear plugs or ear coverings of the specific model required.

Operator must be aware of the safe use of the welding machine, of the capacitors discharge welding process, and should also be informed about the risks related to arc welding procedures, the associated protection measures and emergency procedures.

Â&#x192; Do not look at the light of the arc if your eyes are not protected by a proper mask.

Â&#x192; Use a mask with proper filters and cover plates conform to DIN to protect your eyes from UVA and UVB rays. Â&#x192; Under the mask wear proper safety glasses with lateral shields. Â&#x192; Protect other nearby personnel with suitable, non flammable screening and/or warn them not to watch the arc nor expose themselves to the arc rays or to hot spatter or metal. Repair or maintenance operations of the machine must be carried out by qualified personnel only.

The service and repair must be carried out exclusively by qualified personnel using original spare parts and consumable parts. This will guarantee the machineâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s safety. Unauthorized repairs carried out on this machine by unqualified personnel or the use of replacement and consumable parts that are not original, can be dangerous for technicians and operators and will nullify the manufacturerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s guarantee.
