The Vendue’s newest exhibition, on display through March 2017, has been co-curated by Robert Lange Studios and Emily Rigsby, The Vendue’s Art Director. “Lions and Tigers and Bears” is anchored by an animal-related theme - specifically focusing on the surreal and nontraditional. The massive five warehouse space, a cross between a hotel, museum, and gallery, provides the backdrop for the exhibition.“Hotel guests have been truly inspired by the art that surrounds them and many have already committed to return once the next exhibit is installed,” said Pietro Giardini, general manager of The Vendue. He adds, “The combination of contemporary pieces of art with the architecture of a historic hotel dating back to the 1780s creates a completely unique experience for our guests.” Visit the gallery hotel in person or online at www.TheVendue.com.

LAGERQUIST GALLERY A T L A N T A, G E O R G I A
Steven S. Walker, Ashley on a Friday, 6” x 16”
L
agerquist Gallery is proud to present the work of contemporary artist, Steven S. Walker. Born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Steven earned his bachelor’s degree in fine arts at Virginia Commonwealth University with a concentration in illustration. He earned his masters in fine arts from Marywood University. His process relies heavily on being at the right place at the right time and his nocturnal paintings, unlike traditional landscapes, depend on both man and nature to work together to give the ingredients for a good painting. The blue of the sky just after sunset in combination with the brake lights of a truck can make or break a painting. Although photography plays a big part in his process, he is responsible for the design as far as what stays, what goes.
Founded in 1970 Lagerquist Gallery is Atlanta’s oldest fine art gallery. Lagerquist Gallery has represented the best emerging and established artist from across the United States for over 46 years. Recently the gallery moved from it’s location of over 40 years to it’s new home located on Miami Circle in Buckhead. For more information about the gallery, upcoming events and their artists please visit ww.lagerquistgallery.net.
