Eric Paxton, Flavor - (Saporis Multum Adventus Laminum Procol). In September 2017, two Category 5 Hurricanes, Irma & Maria, struck the U.S. Virgin Islands. In St. Croix we experienced profound wind speeds that had a catastrophic effect on buildings, infrastructure & mental health. I was inspired by the resilience of a community coming together to aid each other in a time of crisis. I was also inspired by the mounds of storm debris that was piled up along every road. Bevil Templeton-Smith, Columna Reborn - My photographs are of crystals of various chemicals photographed in polarised light on my 50 year old microscope. I make and photograph many hundreds of microscope slides. Columna was created and photographed in October 2022, but it was mixed in with other slides and lost. The original photograph was the centrepiece of my exhibition in London in March.
