CSMA’S ARTS CAMPS let students have fun and explore their creative side in a safe, welcoming environment. For Summer 2023, we are offering eight weeks of small-group, age-appropriate day camps held at our beautiful Mountain View campus. Kids will have fun learning skills like drawing and painting, fashion, digital arts, ceramics and even stone carving! Led by CSMA’s experienced teaching artists, our camps offer lots of personal attention and encouragement. Each full-day camp includes outdoor breaks and active games plus art shows to cap off the week.

Ages 11-17: Turn your ideas into digital paintings with graphic design software as you create book covers, story illustrations and posters.
Art of the Imagination
Ages 5-6: Create fantastical imaginary characters and scenes inspired by stories and music.
Storyland Adventures
Ages 6-7: Draw your literary and artistic imagination by creating your own storybook-inspired art.
Fashion Sketches
Ages 8-11: Learn how to sketch figures, clothing and accessories to create fashion designs, paper dolls and more.
Graphic Novels
Ages 10-13: Learn to create comic books using story outlines, character development and drawing techniques.
*Please note: Due to holiday schedules, camps during Sessions 2 and 4 are four days in length.

Ages 5-6: Read along to your favorite books, then create artwork inspired by famous illustrations.
A Jungle Adventure
Ages 6-7: Go on an artistic safari and create your own wild beasts, landscapes and more.
Cartoon Craze
Ages 8-11: Learn to write stories, create characters, draw and color your cartoon creations.
Project Fashion
Ages 10-13: Turn your ideas into clothing and accessories as you learn the fundamentals of fashion design.
Digital Illustration
Ages 11-17: Turn your ideas into digital paintings with graphic design software as you create book covers, story illustrations and posters.
Art of the Imagination
Ages 5-6: Create fantastical imaginary characters and scenes inspired by stories and music.
Storyland Adventures
Ages 6-7: Sketch your literary and artistic imagination by creating your own storybookinspired art.
Building Imagination
Ages 8-11: Explore techniques in perspective, illustration and architectural drawings.
Found Object Jewelry
Ages 10-13: Learn fun and useful techniques for creating unique jewelry from found objects like beads, baubles and upcycled materials.

Ceramics Camps 1:00-3:30 PM
Young ceramicists looking for a summer deep-dive into hand-building and wheel throwing will love our half-day exploration of clay! Students will enjoy spending time in our spacious, sunny ceramics studio. Clay, tools, glazes and materials are included. All experience levels are welcome in this two-week studio class.
Session A: July 10-21

Ages 12-14: Learn hand-building techniques and grow skills on the potter’s wheel, then learn different glazing techniques.

Ages 8-11: Create animals, sculptures, bowls and more developing hand-building and throwing techniques.

Ages 5-6: Draw, paint and collage an ocean of sea creatures and beach themes.

Ages 8-11: Draw, paint and collage a mythological adventure while learning about ancient stories.

Ages 10-13: Learn techniques of the great sculptors using soap, plaster, wire and real stone.
Digital Animation
Ages 11-17: Learn the fundamentals of animation, then build your skills with graphic design software while designing your own characters and stories.
