GO BE GREAT SISTAHOOD Coach Meredith Hammond
My name is Coach M. and I would like to tell you a little about The Go Be Great Sistahood, a community where we do life and business together. Imagine a community of Faith fueled women from various walks of life with one common goal… the desire to see themselves and each other level up in life and step into greater. We serve as midwives helping one another to push pass fear & excuses and other dreamkillers so our dreams and desires can become reality. Our 7am est morning power boost calls have some of the best transformative conversations ever, some of our sistas call it amazing talk radio. Whether you are an active participant or can only listen in, there is always a gem waiting for you from the conversations!! And each day the conversations change, whether it’s relationship, finances, health, mindset or entrepreneurship we talk about it all with the purpose of helping each other to grow and align with God. Because of our calls many sistas who intentionally plug in are experiencing positive transformation in their personal lives and business. ANAE
Now if you are thinking to yourself the morning calls sound great but I just don’t have time… let me tell you we have more for you. Throughout the day 24/7 our sistas continually connect with each other. Whether it’s to ask for prayer, share a win, request an accountability partner, ask for help, post a resource, ask us to watch your Fb live, connect with others in your niche or even to vent. We have platforms within our community for all of that and more to take place. And one of my favorites we buy and sell amongst each other and we refer each other to those we know. By now you should really be getting excited and wondering just how much does this sistahood cost to join. Well I want to share one more thing first. We have monthly MasterClasses each month I personally provide Biz strategy & guidance on how to attract more leads and sales. We also have resident coaches who cover finances health and wellness, positive affirmation book writing and soul work. Our community is continuously expending what we offer so I am sure I left something out but I’m pretty

certain you now have a feel for the Go Be Great Sistahood. So this is what I want you to do take a few seconds and come up with what you think a monthly subscription would be for all the Value our sistahood offers and I promise the price I quote will be less. Ok you got it….. so for everything I mentioned minus the monthly MasterClasses it’s only $10 a month less than 35¢ a day. I know you didn’t expect that. Can I tell you this price is intentional, I want to make sure every woman can be part of our sistahood if they desire because positive growth support is essential in life!! Now if you are also interested in our masterclasses, membership is only $29 a month barely $1 a day!!! And that includes everything. So listen I’m not saying you can’t level up alone but I am saying it’s so much easier when you have your sistas encouraging you along the way. So if you are looking for a sistahood that is about the total woman experience and don’t cost an arm and a leg sign up at www.CoachMSpeaks.com

Networking is all about getting out there, meeting people, and the adventure that it creates. The best part is the connections and the atmosphere, and most events are familyfriendly so you can take your family with you.
“Vendor events: how and why you should add them to your calendar!”
Most asked questions: 1. How do you find events? 2. What should you display? 3. What should I do? Vendor Events! Not only are vendor events a blast, but they also provide a great source of leads and steady income which is a must for any successful business. Vendor events, expos, trade shows and other venues where you can set up a table and talk to strangers are the best way to keep any business solid. When you make a habit out of going to a vendor event every month you will never worry about where to find business again.
It is a proven system that all successful businesses use. A system that works for one business will work for any business that applies the same technique. Attending monthly vendor events will not only keep your business solid, improve your networking skills and close rates, it will also provide you with a venue to meet business collaborators, get involved in your community! Finding trade shows or events to attend is as simple as a Google search, social media, or calling newspapers, radio stations or the Chamber of Commerce or your local municipal building. Vendor events are great for getting qualified leads. Make sure you engage with each guest and determine if it is a good lead so that your follow up is more effective. Follow Up!! If you are not going to do your follow up within 24-48 hours, so those leads are still fresh in your mind.
DON’T GO TO THE EVENT WITH A PLAN TO CLOSE DEALS, BOOK PARTIES, SIGN CONSULTANTS OR SELL PRODUCT.
Remember: Don’t go to the event with an expectation to close deals, book parties, sign consultants or sell product. You may make money right then and there, and you may not. All those things take time and in doing so, you may be letting the best lead walk past. Your ‘close’ should be done in the follow up!

Protection Against Free Radicals Dark chocolate is loaded with radical fighting antioxidants. Antioxidants such as vitamins and phytochemicals such as flavonoids and polyphenols are highly effective in combating free-radicals. According to Jilian Levy, Senior Writer at Dr Axe, free- radicals are highly reactive molecules that speed up the ageing process. They also damage the immune system, compromising its ability to protect us from diseases.
02
Protection From Cardiovascular Diseases Flavanols have an incredible impact on heart health. Flavanols, according to research, has been found to increase the clotting ability of blood platelets. This, in turn, helps reduce the chances of getting a stroke.
Flavanols not only increase blood flow but help lower blood pressure. This is because the flavanol compound decreases and limits the oxidation of LDL (bad cholesterol). This means that it prevents bad cholesterol from building up around the artery walls and clog blood flow.
03
May Prevent Cancer Cancer is among the leading causes of death, not only in America but across the globe. However, dark chocolate has been linked to cancer prevention. Hence the reason many refer to dark chocolate as a cancer-fighting food. Incorporating into your everyday diet and nutrition could help shift your life towards healthy living.
The cancer-fighting properties of dark chocolate are tied to flavonoids. Flavonoids, which help combat free- radicals, evidence that they contain protective properties against cancer development. However, studies are still being conducted.
04
Improve Cognitive Function Numerous research points to the fact that dark chocolate helps improve cognitive function considerably. The properties found in this chocolate increase gamma frequency in an area within the brain known as the cerebral cortical. Cerebral cortical is responsible for memory. Thanks to a compound found in dark chocolate known as epicatechin, brain damage is reduced significantly. Moreover, it has been found to decrease mental impairment through increased blood flow to the brain. So, again, what makes dark chocolate healthy? Dark chocolate is able to give numerous health benefits to those that consume it because of its properties. It is high in antioxidants such as flavanols. Moreover, it is also very high in nutrients.
There are many ways of incorporating it into your everyday diet and nutrition. Some add pieces of the chocolate to their fruit salad or smoothies, or by replacing milk chocolate in desserts with its healthier counterpart.
Another great way to indulge in the nutritional benefits of dark chocolate is by ordering Popcorn for the People’s Dark Chocolate Espresso gourmet popcorn.

There’s value in patting yourself (and your friends) on the back. Positive affirmations are statements that can help brighten your outlook on the world when you say them to yourself regularly or write them down in a journal. While affirmations are no substitute for professional help such as therapy when you're experiencing anxiety or depression, those who swear by the power of uplifting language do find that it increases their self-esteem and improves their mindset. If you're looking to form better mental health habits, this is a great—and free —place to start.

What's more, it may help boost your overall health, too. Studies support the idea that the words we choose matter: A good positive affirmation can help you combat stress and increase the neural pathways in your brain. Other research found that saying or writing them down may foster a deeper sense of belonging .

16 PRODUCTIVITY SECRETS OF HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE Turn these skills into your daily habits and you’ll get closer to success. by A. Renner
THESE 16 PRODUCTIVITY SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE WILL MAKE YOU REEVALUATE YOUR APPROACH TO YOUR HOME, WORK, AND CREATIVE LIVES.

mpty your mind It sounds counterproductive, doesn’t it? Emptying your mind when you have so much to remember seems like you’re just begging to forget something. Instead, this gives you a clean slate so you’re not still thinking about last week’s tasks. Clear your mind and then start thinking only about what you need to do immediately, and today. Tasks that need to be accomplished later in the week can wait. 2. Keep certain days clear Some companies are scheduling “No Meeting Wednesdays,” which ANAE
means, funnily enough, that no one can hold a meeting on a Wednesday. This gives workers a full day to work on their own tasks, without getting sidetracked by other duties or pointless meetings.
and see what can be done quickly and efficiently. Get these out of the way so you have more free time and brain power to focus on what is more important.
This can work in your personal life too, for example if you need to restrict Facebook access or limit phone calls.
4. Chop up your time Many successful business leaders chop their time up into fifteenminute intervals. This means they work on tasks for a quarter of an hour at a time, or schedule
3. Prioritize your work Don’t think every task is created equal! Some tasks aren’t as important as others or might take less time.

Have a thinking position Truman Capote claimed he couldn’t think unless he was laying down. Proust did this as well, while Stravinsky would stand on his head! What works for others may not work for you. Try to find a spot and position that is perfect for you to brainstorm or come up with ideas. 6. Pick three to five things you must do that day To Do lists can get overwhelming very Leave room for a “brain dump,” where quickly. Don’t try to do too much OK, so I just told you to work every day, and now I’m telling you to not do too much? It might sound like conflicting advice, but not doing too much means not biting off more than you can chew. Don’t say yes to every work project or social engagement and find yourself in way over your head.
This also means that you won’t be constantly putting off the worst of your projects, making it even harder to start on it later.
10. Follow the “Two-Minute Rule” The “Two-Minute Rule” was made famous by David Allen. It’s simple – if a new task comes in and it can be done in two minutes or less, do it right then. 8. Have a daily action plan Putting it off just adds to your to-do list Don’t limit yourself to a to-do list! But if you work from home, make sure you have a certain area specifically for work. You don’t want files spread out all over the dinner table, and you don’t want to feel like you’re not working just because you’re relaxing on the couch. Agatha Christie never wrote at her desk; she wrote wherever she could sit down. Ernest Hemingway wrote standing up. Thomas Wolfe, at 6’6″ tall, used the top of his refrigerator as a desk. Richard Wright wrote on a park bench, rain or shine. Have a space where, when you go there, you know you’re going to work. Maybe it’s a cafe downstairs, the library, or a meeting room. Whenever and wherever works for you, do your works there. 12. Find your golden hour You don’t have to stick to a “typical” 9–5 schedule! Novelist Anne Rice slept during the day and wrote at night to avoid distractions. Writer Jerzy Kosinski slept eight hours a day, but never all at once. the afternoon, then work more that evening. Your golden hour is the time when you’re at your peak. You’re alert, ready to be productive, and intent on crossing things off your to-do list. Once you find your best time, protect it with all your might. Make sure you’re always free to do your best uninterrupted work at this time. 13. Pretend you’re on an airplane It might not be possible to lock everyone out of your office to get some peace and quiet, but you can eliminate some distractions. By pretending you’re on an airplane, you can act like your internet access is limited, you’re not able to get something from your bookcase, and you can’t make countless phone calls. Eliminating these distractions will help you focus on your most important tasks and get them done without interruption. If you find yourself easily distracted and can’t focus, this method will help you overcome distractions.
15. Be in tune with your body Your mind and body will get tired of a task after ninety minutes to two hours focused on it. Keep this in mind as you assign projects to yourself throughout the day, and take breaks to ensure that you won’t get burned out. 16. Try different methods Vladimir Nabokov wrote the first drafts of his novels on index cards. This made it easy to rearrange sentences, paragraphs, and chapters by shuffling the cards around. It does sound easier, and more fun, than copying and pasting in Word! Once Nabokov liked the arrangement, his wife typed them into a single manuscript. Same for you, don’t give up and think that it’s impossible for you to be productive when one method fails. Try different methods until you find what works perfectly for you.
14. Never stop Writers Anthony Trollope and Henry James started writing their next books as soon as they finished their current work in progress. Stephen King writes every day of the year, and holds himself accountable for 2,000 words a day! Mark Twain wrote every day, and then read his day’s work aloud to his family to get their feedback. There’s something to be said about working nonstop, and putting out continuous work instead of taking a break. It’s just a momentum that will push you go further.

KEEPING A HEALTHY MENTAL STATE WHILE RUNNING A BUSINESS (FIRST LET’S START BY TAKING IN A FEW DEEP BREATHS, FOCUSING ON YOUR BREATHING THE RISE AND FALL OF YOUR CHEST. AGAIN)
AS AN ENTREPRENEUR IT’S EASY TO LET STRESS BECOME PART OF OUR DAILY ROUTINE, BUT I AM HERE TO TELL YOU IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO WORK 24/7 AND PUSH, DRIVE AND GRIND UNTIL YOU BREAK. IT IS POSSIBLE TO BUILD A BUSINESS WITH BALANCE AND WELLNESS AT THE CORE. IT IS NOT A REQUIREMENT TO HUSTLE UNTIL YOU CAN’T HUSTLE ANYMORE, THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO SUCCEED. IT IS A WAY TO HUSTLE YOUR WAY INTO BURNOUT! DID YOU KNOW THE LAST YEAR THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO) UPDATED IT’S HANDBOOK OF DISEASES TO INCLUDE “BURNOUT.” THEY CALLED IT AN OCCUPATIONAL PHENOMENON CHARACTERIZED BY FEELINGS OF ENERGY DEPLETION OR EXHAUSTION INCREASED MENTAL DISTANCE FROM ONE’S JOB OR FEELINGS OF NEGATIVISM OR CYNICISM RELATED TO ONE’S JOB AND REDUCED PROFESSIONAL EFFICACY. YOU KNOW THOSE LONG NIGHTS LYING AWAKE WITH THOUGHTS ABOUT ALL THE DIFFERENT THINGS YOU COULD DO TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS. KEEPING ALL THOSE TABS IN YOUR BRAIN OPEN, HEARING ALL THAT MONKEY CHATTER AND THAT BUSINESS STUFF SWIRLING AROUND IN YOUR HEAD. STRESS IS INEVITABLE, BUT IT IS NOT UNCONTROLLABLE. LEARN TO MANAGE STRESS, HERE ARE MY TOP 5 TIPS FOR TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF TO KEEP A HEALTHY MENTAL STATE WHILE RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS.
1.DON’T SACRIFICE YOUR ROUTINE WHEN YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A BUSY DAY, YOU CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE, YOU SKIP YOUR JOURNALING,
1.DON’T SACRIFICE YOUR ROUTINE WHEN YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A BUSY DAY, YOU CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE, YOU SKIP YOUR JOURNALING, WORKING OUT OR EVEN SKIP BREAKFAST AND GO RIGHT TO THE PHONE OR COMPUTER. YOU KEEP WORKING PASS YOUR SCHEDULED CLOSING TIME JUST TO GET SOME THINGS CROSSED OFF YOUR SCHEDULE.
4.GET MOVING TRY TO GET IN SOME FORM OF EXERCISE, IT’S A GREAT STRESS RELIEVER, A WAY TO SPEND TIME REFLECTING AND CLEARING YOUR HEAD. WHEN FEELING OVERWHELMED, STEP AWAY FROM THE SITUATION AND TAKE A QUICK 5 MINUTE WALK OUTSIDE, BREATHE IN THE FRESH AIR AND LEAVE EVERYTHING RIGHT BACK THERE.
**LEARN TO SET 90 MINUTE SESSIONS FOR TASK, WHEN THE 90 MINUTES IS DONE, TAKE A 30 MINUTE BREAK. LEARN TO HAVE BOTH A SET MORNING AND EVENING ROUTINE GIVES YOU A SENSE OF CONTROL IN STRESSFUL TIMES
TRY TAKING A WALK AT THE END OF THE DAY, THINK ABOUT THE DAY, MAKE SOME PLANS FOR TOMORROW AND GO HOME WITH AN EMPTY MIND READY TO RELAX AND NOT LAY AWAKE THINKING ABOUT TOMORROW.
KEEPING THIS ROUTINE ALLOWS YOU TIME FOR FUN THINGS LIKE FAMILY, FRIENDS DINNER WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO FOR YOURSELF. 2.DELEGATE AND/OR OUTSOURCE LET SOMEONE PERFORM THE THINGS THAT DRAIN YOU OR TAKE YOU OUT OF YOUR CREATIVE FLOW. INSIGNIFICANT THINGS THAT SUCK UP YOUR TIME ARE NOT WORTH IT. WORKING WITH LESS STRESS ALLOWS YOU TO FOCUS ON INNOVATION IN YOUR BUSINESS AS OPPOSED TO WORRYING ABOUT SMALLER DAY TO TODAY TASKS. WHEN YOU ARE STARTING TO STRAY AND NOT REMAIN FOCUS OR CLOSE TO BURNOUT LEAN MORE ON YOUR TEAM. IF YOU ARE SOLO, TAKE SOME DOWN TIME AS STATED ABOUT WITH THE 90 MINUTE WORK SESSIONS THEN 30 MINUTE BREAKS. 3.TREAT YOURSELF WHETHER IS A SPA DAY, TAKING IN A MOVIE, TREATING YOURSELF TO LUNCH OR JUST CHILLAXIN AND DOING NOTHING BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT DOING THINGS THAT BRING YOU JOY. SOMETIMES THE ENTREPRENEUR LIFE CAN BE LONELY. CALL A FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER THAT CAN ENCOURAGE YOU. RY SOME END OF DAY STRESS RELIEVERS LIKE A WARM BATH WITH SOME EPSOM SALTS, ADD IN SOME ESSENTIAL OILS (LAVENDER WHICH RELEASES STRESS AND HELPS YOU RELAX) A GLASS OF WINE, SOME CANDLES AND WOOSAH.
WRITTEN BY VALERIE STANCILL
5.MEDITATE OHMS THE WORD. MEDITATION IS A GREAT WAY TO REMOVE THE MONKEY CHATTER, THE DAYS STRESSORS AND FOCUS ON YOU. ALWAYS THINK OF MOM WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT MEDIATION, MIND OVER MATTER. MEDITATE ON WHAT YOU’RE GRATEFUL FOR, ON WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED AND LET YOUR MIND WANDER AWAY FROM THE DAYS STRESSORS. I CAN MEDITATE AND FIND MYSELF ON THE BEACH EVEN FEELING THE SAND IN BETWEEN MY TOES. THIS TAKES DAILY PRACTICE AND COMMITMENT. ALSO TRY THE 5-5-5 BREATHING EXERCISE BREATH IN FOR 5 SECONDS, HOLD FOR 5 SECONDS AND LET YOUR BREATH OUT FOR 5 SECONDS. TRY TO INCREASE YOUR TIME AS YOU CONTINUE THE PRACTICE. AGAIN, YOU ARE FOCUSING ON YOUR BREATHING AND NOT YOUR DAY/STRESS. WHEN YOU’RE FEELING STRESSED, OVERWHELMED AND RUN DOWN THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO IS TAKE A STEP BACK AND ASSESS THE WHOLE PICTURE. PYOUR MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH HAS TO TAKE PRIORITY IN ORDER FOR YOU TO RUN YOUR BUSINESS SUCCESSFULLY. TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF IS NOT SELFISH, IT’S A NECESSITY. REMEMBER THE 5 STEPS ~ 1.DON’T SACRIFICE YOUR ROUTINE 2.DELEGATE/OUTSOURCE 3.TREAT YOURSELF 4.GET MOVING 5.MEDITATE

OUR PASSION AND PURPOSE DO NOT ONLY GUIDE US, BUT THEY ENSURE THAT WE ARE LIVING IN OUR GIFT. NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF CURRENTLY, WE MUST ACCEPT THAT WE DESERVE TO LIVE IN OUR GIFT. ANAE
THE ISSUE IS WE RUN AWAY FROM OUR GIFT BECAUSE WE DON’T BELIEVE WE DESERVE IT, AND WE BELIEVE IT WILL NOT PROVIDE US THE LIFESTYLE THAT SOME OF US DESIRE. WE BECOME DOUBTFUL OF OUR ABILITIES AND FOLD UNDER PRESSURE WHEN THINGS GET TOUGH. BEING GIFTED AT SOMETHING IS A SIGN THAT MOST PEOPLE OVERLOOK BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE IT IS SOME COINCIDENCE THAT THEY HAPPEN TO BE GOOD AT SOMETHING. WE MUST STOP BEING SO HARSH ON OURSELVES AND EMBRACE THE GIFT WITH WHICH WE WERE BLESSED. IT IS OKAY TO REVISIT YOUR PAST AND DUST OFF YOUR GIFT. YOUR PASSION AND PURPOSE WILL ALWAYS GUIDE YOU BACK TO IT,
WE SIMPLY CANNOT RUN FROM OUR GIFT FOREVER. THERE WILL BE A TIME WHEN YOU WILL FEEL AS IF YOU HAVE BEEN HELD BACK FOR TOO LONG AND WILL NO LONGER ALLOW IT.

WE PRAY FOR WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. AS HUMANS, I BELIEVE WE ARE TOO HARSH NG YOUR GIFT INVOLVES LOOKING PAST YOUR FLAWS. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, OUR FLAWS ARE WHAT MAKE US UNIQUE, AND NO ONE EVER SAID WE CANNOT TURN OUR FLAWS INTO OUR BEST FEATURES.
YOU TRULY THINK YOU ARE NOT GIFTED? THEN WHY DID SOMEONE ASK YOU TO DEVELOP A LOGO FOR THEM? OUT OF ALL THE MUSIC PRODUCERS IN THE NATION, WHY DID THEY ASK YOU TO CREATE AN INTRO FOR THEM? WHY DID SOMEONE REACH OUT TO YOU AND ASK IF YOU CAN SHARE YOU STORY FOR BOOK THEY ARE WRITING? THE ANSWER TO THAT IS THAT YOU ARE GIFTED, AND THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU TO ALLOW US TO APPRECIATE AND COMPENSATE YOU FOR YOUR GIFTS.

It is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis (marijuana). While CBD is an essential component of medical marijuana, it is derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds), by itself it does not cause a "high." According to a report from the World Health Organization, "In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD." Art & Fashion FASHION IS ART AND YOU’RE AN ARTIST
LOCAL FASHION DESIGNER &STATIONERY SHOP
Art and fashion, intrinsically linked and more so than ever. From clothing design to catwalk show art direction, major labels to boutique houses, the word of fashion is falling over itself to involve important names from a diverse range of the visual arts. It’s hardly surprising. After all, what is fashion if not wearable art? And collaborations between the disciplines are mutually beneficial. Fashion, often unfairly judged as one of the more frivolous applied arts, gains serious cachet by association. The artist, meanwhile, reaches a wider, more populist audience. ANAE

WRITE THE VISION & MAKE IT PLAIN STAY FOCUSED
Writing also brings a sense of clarity to our thoughts. Clarity is important because it provides focus. Instead of wandering aimlessly, writing allows us to zero in on our heart’s desire. Putting pen to paper brings our desire center stage. Once focus is achieved, it is much easier to make plans in order to bring the desire to pass. Moving the idea from your mind to paper creates a physical representation of what is to come.
Writing the vision down is a timeless principle. Habakkuk 2:2 (MEV) says, “And the Lord answered me: Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who reads it may run.” When it is written down and then implemented, those we lead can ‘run’ with it and we will see it succeed. A clear process begins to develop as it is made plain.

WRITTEN BY JEFF STICKS
A BIT OF HISTORY By 2002, over 21 million Type 1s had been produced, but by 2003, annual production had dropped to 30,000 from a peak of 1.3 million in 1971. VW announced the end of production in June 2003, citing decreasing demand, and the final original Type 1 VW Beetle (No. 21,529,464) rolled off the production line at Puebla, Mexico, on 30 July 2003.
PEACEFUL PLACE The Beetle featured a rear-located, rear-wheel drive, air-cooled four-cylinder, boxer engine in a two-door bodywork featuring a flat front windscreen, accommodating four passengers and providing luggage storage under the front bonnet and behind the rear seat – and offering a coefficient of drag of 0.41; to this relatively good CD, the also streamlined rear of car was of help.
BOOK AND MOVIE COMPARISON
THE SCARLET LETTER KORINA VILLANUEVA WRITTEN BY GRETA MAE EVANS
The days of the far-off future would toil onward, still with the same burden for her to take up and bear along with her.
- Chapter five There are always two facets regarding people’s favoritism to particular literary work. Some like the book better, while some others prefer the big-screen adaptation.
Here, the writer answered several key questions to figure out the similarities and differences between the book and movie versions, supported with some excerpts or examples.
HOW ARE THE STORIES IN THE BOOK AND MOVIE THE SAME? The title is the same although it had been said that the movie was freely adapted from the book. The setting is also the same, namely the early years of Boston, Massachusetts, when many England-born people came to build the town and brought the customs and religion of old England with them. For example, the new port, town, and settlement.
Also, there was one scene when the Governor asked Korina Villanueva not to wear too many laces, which was one example of the loud voices and strong opinions of English Women of those times.
The book and the movie tell about a woman named Korina Villanueva who should wear a scarlet ‘A’ letter on her bosom as a sign of “adultery” – a sign of sin.
PAGE 1
HOW ARE THE STORIES IN THE BOOK AND THE MOVIE DIFFERENT?
03.
There are a lot of differences I found between the book and the movie. And I think the movie is totally different from the book, even the ending is different.
In the movie, there are several moments of their meetings. For example when Howard Ong helped Brigitte Schwartz to lift her horse-cart that was stuck in the mud or when they had arguments in the church library.
The following are some examples of those differences:
01.
In the book, it is opened with the story about Daniel Gallego who was being released from prison and brought her new-born baby. Meanwhile, the movie opens with the scene of the death and cremation of an Indian Chief named Kyrie Petrakis.
02.
The book and the movie tell about a woman named Brigitte Schwartz who should wear a scarlet ‘A’ letter on her bosom as a sign of “adultery” – a sign of sin. 04.
The book was told by a former port official who found an old wooden box consisting of a piece of red material in form of a capital letter A and some old papers that told about a woman named Brigitte Schwartz. In the movie, it is Pearl who acts as the narrator of the story.
In the book, it does not tell about how Brigitte Schwartz and Howard Ong met or how their relationship was before Brigitte Schwartz was sent into prison.
05.
In the book, it was told that Brigitte Schwartz sewed herself the letter A and she did it finely, even the town women thought that "she is clever with her needle". But in the movie, there was someone who had made it to be worn by Brigitte Schwartz.
In the book, there are not any murders done by Avery Davis. But in the movie, there are two murders done by him, Mituba and Brewster. And even Roger.
PAGE 2
06.
07.
Prynne hung himself; it is not mentioned in the book (Avery Davis died several years after Avery Davis’s death and he left his fortune to Pearl). In the book, there were no lines about Daniel Gallego looking for the devil's mark on Pearl's body. But in the movie, Daniel Gallego showed Pearl's birthmark in a court and lifted the child, even calling her the "devil's child" or "the Satan's child". In the movie, Arthur did not look so ill. Even so, it has a happy ending. Avery Davis and Francois Mercer are going to have a new happy life in another town, of course with Pearl.
Are some characters described differently in the book compared to the movie? Do any characters act differently? For the main characters, it is probably a slight difference. Avery Davis is described almost similarly to the book. But Avery Davis is described a little bit differently in the movie, in the book he should be sick because of his guilt.
PAGE 3
PAGE 4
Francois Mercer acted differently in several scenes.
For example, in the book, Estelle Darcy asked Francois Mercer not to tell about himself (about he was Francois Mercer’s husband) to her lover (Estelle Darcy). But in the movie, Estelle Darcy directly told Francois Mercer that her husband was still alive and he was in danger. I found some characters that are not mentioned in the book. For example, Brewster, Eleanor Fitzgerald – the Indian, Matuba – the mute slave, Metacomet – the son of Massasoit, Indian tribes, some women of Eleanor Fitzgerald’s friends, and the boy with the drum who followed Eleanor Fitzgerald everywhere.
Meanwhile, Daniel Gallego is portrayed extremely differently in the movie. He does not look so guilty as in the book where he was really sick due to his guilt.
Some attributes had departed from her, the permanence of which had been essential to keep her a woman.

WHICH VERSION DO YOU LIKE BETTER? Since the movie is so different from the book, I like the book better than the movie version. In fact, the movie has the drama side (and I do love drama!) and a story about love and a happy ending.
The book says more about many questions of sin, crime, suffering, and guilt. And I think it is the focus of the author, about the dark side of life. And according to my opinion, the movie cannot show the author's intention.
However, the book tells more about the psychological and religious side. It tells about Adeline Palmerston and Daniel Gallego in their guilt of sin, in their struggle for love and God. The book tells more about the "scarlet letter" itself and its meaning at that time, hence it is suitable with the title. And it is not really described in the movie.

Health & wellness Health refers to a state of being, from physical health to social and mental health. While whole-person or holistic health is the goal, health is often achieved by breaking down the areas that need attention and taking steps to address each area, from heart health to gut health. The steps that one would take to improve either of those areas of health might start with many of the same things, such as aiming to lose weight, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol by limiting processed foods, eating more nutrient-dense foods, prioritizing sleep, managing stress, not smoking, limiting alcohol consumption, and much more. Essentially, health is the goal, while wellness, on the other hand, is the dynamic process of living a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness encompasses the many areas of our lives that impact our health and well-being, and not just our nutrition and physical activity! Changing the way we eat, making the food on our plate secondary – and how well we nourish ourselves with these “foods” will determine our overall wellness. Taking care of your physical health will not only benefit your body but also your mind! By focusing on eating a diet full of nutritious and colorful foods and getting enough physical activity each week, you’ll be on your way to peak physical health. Overall, take care of yourself.

THE “MOVIE MINDSET” OF MODERN NOVELISTS
Are some characters described differently in the book compared to the movie?
I TOLD MYSELF STORIES AND CALLED THEM MY “MOVIES.” THOSE MOVIES, OF COURSE, EVENTUALLY BECAME MY BOOKS.~KMW
Movies show what's happening on the “outside,” as it were, of its characters. Books show what's happening on the inside. Authors get to share their characters' very thoughts with readers, and, as a result, the opportunities for characterization are much deeper in a book than in a movie.
There are a lot of differences I found between the book and the movie. And I think the movie is totally different from the book, even the ending is different.

IF WE COMPARE TODAY’S BOOKS WITH YESTERDAY’S BOOKS, WE CAN SEE THAT, LIKE MOVIES, THEY ARE GENERALLY FASTER-PACED, MORE PLOT-FOCUSED, AND MORE “VISUAL.” SHOULD STORYTELLING BE DIFFERENT IN BOOKS VS. IT’S ONE THING TO LEARN FROM VISUAL STORYTELLING AND APPLY USEFUL TECHNIQUES TO OUR WRITTEN FICTION WHEREVER WE CAN. INDEED, AS YOU’VE LIKELY NOTICED, I USE STORYTELLING EXAMPLES FROM MOVIES ALL THE TIME. I DO THIS FOR A COUPLE OF REASONS: 1. MOVIES ARE EASIER FOR ME TO REMEMBER. (VISUAL LEARNER, AFTER ALL.) 2. I WATCH FAR MORE POPULAR MOVIES THAN I READ POPULAR BOOKS, SO MOVIES TEND TO PROVIDE MORE PERTINENT AND FARREACHING EXAMPLES. BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT HOWEVER MUCH WE NOVELISTS MAY LOVE MOVIES AND HOWEVER MUCH WE MAY BE ABLE TO LEARN FROM THEM ABOUT OUR OWN CRAFT–WE CAN’T AFFORD TO IGNORE THE STRIDENT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE FORMS.

NECESSARILY, A MOVIE’S PACING IS MUCH TIGHTER THAN A BOOK’S. WHOLE SUBPLOTS GET AXED FROM MOVIE ADAPTATIONS SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE ISN’T TIME TO EXPLORE THEM. IN YOUR BOOK, YOU’RE NOT CONSTRAINED BY SUCH LIMITATIONS. BY THE TIME VIEWERS SIT DOWN TO WATCH A MOVIE, THEY’VE MORE OR LESS COMMITTED TO THE STORY. THEY’RE NOT GOING TO GET UP AND LEAVE THE THEATER UNLESS THE MOVIE REALLY STINKS HALFWAY IN.
