A message from one of our winners

Thank you to everyone at Park Radio for the wonderful prize I won last Friday. I entered the Easter Treasure Hunt Competition never thinking I would win so was very surprised when my name was read out. We won tickets to the Easter Country Show at Henham. We were very lucky and the roads were quite empty considering it was a Bank Holiday. When we arrived we were greeted by Annabel Edmundson at the gate and were shown where to park by a well organised team. There were already hundreds of cars neatly parked even though it was only just after 10.00am. There were many stalls and activities to keep us occupied for the whole day. In the main arena we were entertained by horse racing, heavy horses and a falconry display. It is always a pleasure to see these magnificent birds flying at close quarters. We also had a bet on the ferret racing; ours decided to turn back half way along the tube and came last! There were some incredible stunts performed on bikes and a wrestling match which was very well rehearsed although I couldn't take it seriously! In between watching the entertainment we meandered around the interesting craft stalls and other exhibitors. There was also a wide variety of food and drink available to suit everyone's tastes. In the late afternoon we made our way back to the car and drove home having had an unexpected but very enjoyable day out. In addition to the tickets to the country show my prize included a selection of Easter treats donated by Tesco. I waited with anticipation to see what this involved and when the box was delivered, by the lovely Katie from Park Radio, I was over the moon. There was an assortment of Easter eggs ranging from a large Lindor egg to Aero mini eggs and some hot cross buns. As Lindor chocolates are my absolute favourites I kept that one for myself and shared the rest with members of my family. Winning this prize made Easter extra special this year. Malcolm, my husband and I, listen to Park Radio every day. We switch it on whilst having our breakfast and continue to listen throughout the morning. We enjoy the mix of music, modern through to hits of the past, especially the 60s and 70s when we were in our teens. The guest interviews are usually very interesting and the presenters always exude enthusiasm for whatever subject they are talking about. It is nice to have news and weather updates that are relevant to the local area and we have gone to several of the events advertised in the "What's On Action Line" section which we would not have known were happening otherwise. We have Park Radio tuned into the car radio and always listen until we are out of range and would definitely say Park Radio is our number one station of choice. Best wishes to everyone at Park Radio, Gill Smith
