Today the thriving Norwich Twenty Group comprises almost 90 members including painters, sculptors, installation and conceptual artists, printmakers and photographers. They aim to put on two exhibitions each year. Arts students flock to Norwich to enrol on one of many of the highly-respected courses at institutions such as Norwich University of the Arts and the Anteros Foundation. The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the University of East Anglia is a fantastic exhibition space and has welcomed artists of world renown to showcase their

South Norfolk To the south of Norwich and reaching down to the River Waveney on the Suffolk border lies the picturesque region of South Norfolk. This area is awash with lovely market towns including Wymondham, Diss, Attleborough and Loddon, each offering their own creative output. Alongside its stunning 12th century Abbey, Wymondham also has a thriving arts centre in the heart of the town. From May to November, Wymondham Arts Centre runs a varied programme of exhibitions and events from their base in Becket’s Chapel, with something for everyone. With its picture-perfect mere, the market town of Diss is home to DesignerMakers21, a collective of local makers who produce a stunning range of arts and crafts from their town centre premises and prestigious auctioneers T W Gaze who hold art auctions every Friday. Close by, the lovely village of Harleston is home to the Harleston and Waveney Art Collective which comprises an eclectic mix of talented artists who hold a successful annual art trail over two weekends in May. They also host group exhibitions throughout the year. From 2018, the town of Thetford will host various arts events throughout the year, giving visitors a fantastic chance of catching something when they arrive. South Norfolk is also home to ARTSeast Magazine - the region’s premier arts publication and publishers of this guide. Waveney Valley Sculpture Trail
