YP CAST AND PRODUCTION TEAM ELLA CARSON (ABIGAIL, BEATRICE, AND OTHERS)
Jasper is Ella’s first show as a YP at OCT, and she couldn’t be more excited! She has been in theater her whole life, her favorite roles include Mary in The Secret Garden, Annie in Annie, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, and most recently as a featured role in Godspell. When not doing theater, Ella enjoys cheering on the Portland Thorns, performing with the Wilson a cappella group, “Singing in the Rain”, representing the sophomore class on Theatre Board, and singing with her ukulele in her room. She would like to thank her amazing director, Dani, for this great opportunity!
MORGAN DEMETRE
(GRETCHEN)
Morgan is a Junior at Cleveland High School. This is her third year with the YPs and her second show for OCT. This past summer Morgan was one of the top 40 finalists to attend/compete in the Songbook Academy in Carmel, Indiana. Her past favorite theater credits include: Cosette in Les Misérables, Braid in Chrysalis, and Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical. In 2018, she will be making her television debut on the original Netflix series Everything Sucks! Shout out to her awesome family, her mentors, Sam Hull and Rick Lewis, agents from Ryan Artists, and her best friends, Zoë & Sophia.
AUDREY LIPSEY (PERSEPHONE, LETHE GIRL, AND OTHERS)
This is Audrey’s first year as a YP and her first professional production, and she couldn’t be more excited! Her most recent role was Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (West Linn High School). In addition to theater, Audrey runs, sings in choir, plays guitar, and studies science. Audrey would like to thank her parents for helping her pursue her love of theater, her friends for shaping her into the person she is now, and the amazing team of Jasper in Deadland for being so kind and welcoming.
BRENDAN LONG (JASPER)
Brendan is a senior at Southridge High School and is excited to step into the role of Jasper. Recently he has appeared as the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz (NWCT), and as Brian in Goosebumps the Musical (OCT). He’s training in tap and jazz and loves continuing to expand his sheet music collection. Brendan thanks his friends and family for their support.
CLAYTON LUKENS
(VIRGIL, LITTLE LU, AND OTHERS)
Clayton is ecstatic to be making his YP debut with Jasper in Deadland. Recent roles he’s played have been Buzz in Fly Guy (OCT), Lord Pinkelton in Cinderella (CHS; 5th Avenue Award Nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role), Harold Hill in Music
Man (Journey Theater), and Herb in Junie B. Jones (OCT). In his free time, he enjoys seeing other plays and musicals around town, and long walks on the beach. He’d like to thank his castmates, family, and friends for all their love and support. Enjoy the show!
TIRZA MEULJIC (HATHAWAY, EURYDICE, AND OTHERS)
Tirza is beyond excited to be working on Jasper in Deadland with such an incredible cast and crew! You may have seen Tirza in YP’s previous production of Chrysalis portraying the role of Jace, or as Hope Caldwell in Urinetown (Clark College). In her rare free time, she enjoys singing, spending time with her pets, family and friends, and listening to music. Tirza’s future plans include studying musical theater in New York and traveling. Enjoy the show!
KAI TOMIZAWA
(HEL, LETHE GIRL, AND OTHERS)
Kai is thrilled to make her OCT YP Company debut. She was previously seen on OCT’s mainstage as Pinkalicious in Pinkalicious and as Junie B. in Junie B. Jones. She was awarded both a 2016 PAMTA and Drammy Award for the former. She has also performed in A Civil War Christmas (ART) and in Alice in Wonderland (NWCT). Outside of theater, you will most likely see Kai riding her unicycle, making short films with her family, or goofing off with her sister, Mika. Kai sends a huge thanks to her friends and family for their love and support.
YP CAST AND PRODUCTION TEAM DAVID VANDYKE
(MR. LETHE AND OTHERS)
David is a 17-yearold Junior at Hillsboro High School and a third year YP. He is happy to be returning to the OCT stage after appearing in In the Forest She Grew Fangs, and Junie B. Jones, but most recently he was seen in Robin Hood (NWCT) as the title role. Though theater is his main hobby, he particularly enjoys spending his time playwriting, reading, and playing the French horn. He is particularly fond of all things Star Wars and loves to have lightsaber duels with his brother.

MADELEINE ADRIANCE (YP HOUSE MANAGER)
Madeleine is very excited to be house managing for this cool and funky show, where she has the pleasure of working with very cool and funky people. She likes theater quite a bit. Someday she hopes to win a freestyle

(YP HOUSE MANAGER)
Isaac is a junior at Hillsboro High School and a second year YP, and has been acting since he was seven. Most recently he was in his high school’s production of Simply Maria, Or, The American Dream.
