About the Authors MILO MOWERY PLAYWRIGHT Milo is a playwright living in the Pacific Northwest. He is winner of an Original Script Drammy, a Portland Area Musical Theater Award, and a national Parent’s Choice Award. A long time collaborator with Rodolfo Ortega, their adaptation of Zorro “El Zorrito” is published by Dramatic Publishing. He has written multiple creative adaptations for NWCT such as steampunk Pinocchio and a circus inspired Little Mermaid. In 2016 his commissioned play Get on the Bus, co-authored with his wife Robin Jacobson, toured the northwest with the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts.
RODOLFO ORTEGA COMPOSER, SOUND DESIGNER, MUSIC DIRECTOR Rodolfo has created compositions and sound design for numerous NWCT productions including the world premieres of The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, El Zorrito (recently published by Dramatic Publishing), Snow White, Pinocchio (multiple PAMTA winner) and Robin Hood, as well as James and The Giant Peach, Swiss Family Robinson (2007 Drammy), and Frankenstein (2006 Drammy). In addition to receiving multiple Drammy Awards for individual productions, he received a Drammy in Sound Design and Composition for a Season of Outstanding Work (2000-01). Rody received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Arizona and his Master’s of Music from Manhattan School of Music, where he studied piano and composition. His compositions are frequently showcased at many of the Pacific Northwest’s premier theaters including NWCT, Artist Repertory Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, and The Denver Center.

Cast Bios ANDRÉS ALCALÁ CAPTAIN HOOK/MR. DARLING Andrés most recently played Old Wise in The Starlings Present: The Tail of Sleeping Beauty, Zeke/Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Shrek, Tlememe in The Sun Serpent, and Mr. Banks in Mary Poppins. He also played Dracula, and Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz for NWCT. Other credits include Exiles at ART, Eyes for Consuela at Profile Theatre, and The Giver with OCT. Andrés was the recipient of a TCG New Generations grant and an NEA grant. This support enabled him to spend 6 years in Arizona as an Associate Artist working alongside David Saar, Artistic Director for Childsplay where he directed the west coast premiere of Getting Near to Baby, With Two Wings, and the national tours of Go Dog Go! and Ferdinand the Bull in which he also played Ferdinand. He is also known for his work with Oregon Shakespeare Festival as an actor and as a touring Educating Artist. He holds a BFA in Acting from Southern Oregon University in Ashland.
JUSTINE BEALL NIBBS Justine-Elise Beall is a 7th grader at the Arts and Communications Magnet Academy focusing on dance. She performed the role of Ida in Honk Jr! and has appeared in many other NWCT productions. Justine loves any opportunity to entertain, whether it’s singing and dancing on the kitchen counter, writing and performing social awareness raps, or speaking in an array of accents. She wishes to thank her directors, teachers, and family for this opportunity.
SAM BURNS CECCO Sam is thrilled to return to the Jolly Roger as Cecco. NWCT audiences have enjoyed Sam’s many performances over the seasons including: The Starlings (Big Boss Guy), Wizard of Oz (Hunk/Scarecrow), Shrek (Donkey), The Sun Serpent (Anahuac),
The Jungle Book (Monkey), Mary Poppins (Policeman, Park Keeper, Von Hussler), Sherlock Holmes (The Great Grigori), Goodnight Moon (Clarabelle/Tooth Fairy), Peter Pan (Cecco), James and the Giant Peach (Earthworm), The Big Friendly Giant (Fleshlumpeater), Busytown (Farmer Alfalfa), and the title role in the premiere of Robin Hood. Sam is also NWCT’s resident artist, and enjoyed his directorial debut in Robin Hood last season.
DELLA COSLOY MERMAID/ENSEMBLE Della is glad to be back on the Mainstage following her performance in The Wizard of Oz. A first year Intern, she has also been active with Studio NW, performing as: Allie Deluca in A Chorus Line, the Narrator in Metamorphoses, and Velma in West Side Story. She also played Ruby Riding Hood in Onceupona Town at Hosford MS School. Della has been training at NWCT for 9 years and is now a sophomore at Cleveland HS. She thanks her family and friends for being supportive of her dreams.
GABRIELA GIRALDO MERMAID/PUPPET ENSEMBLE Gabriela is thrilled to make her NWCT debut! A freshman at Lincoln High School, previous performances include Rapunzel in Into the Woods (Lincoln Drama), Friar Tuck in Robin Hood (West Sylvan Drama), and Ensemble in The Wiz (Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater). Gabriela is a member of Studio NW, and loves to sing and act.
MAYA HAWKS*** **** CURLY Maya is 12 years old and thrilled to be back on the Mainstage. She previously appeared as a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz. Maya started taking acting classes at NWCT at the age of 5. Later, she was accepted into NWCT Studio Jr. and Kids Co. Holiday productions. She is also the starting goalie on her year-round soccer club, Southside Soccer. Maya thanks her parents and big sister for their love and support.
Cast Bios CLARA-LIIS HILLIER MRS. DARLING/VOICE OF TINKER BELL/NOODLER Clara-Liis is a graduate of Reed College. She is thrilled to be back at NWCTS after last season as the Wicked Witch of the West in Wizard of Oz. A proud company member of Theatre Vertigo, she was last seen onstage in Caucasian Chalk Circle (Shaking the Tree), Electra in Gyspy (Broadway Rose) and Godspell (Lakewood-Drammy Award) and the world premiere of Carnivora as Wood Woman (Theatre Vertigo). When she’s not onstage, she works for Portland Center Stage at The Armory as their Education & Community Programs Associate and teaches Dance and Theater for NWCTS and Riverdale High School. STEFANO IABONI STARKEY Stefano was born and raised in Rome, Italy. After spending some of his earlier years seeing the world, he moved to Holland and enrolled in a professional circus school and gained experience in traditional circus arts. He then set off for Barcelona, Spain where he spent the next ten years working for theater companies, acting in movies and commercials, and participating in comedy festivals around the world. He currently lives in Portland, OR with his wife Deanna, and his wonderful daughters, Olivia and Mila. He offers corporate team building workshops and laughter-therapy classes when not touring the globe with his solo show S.P.A.M. and physical comedy duo, “The Beat Brothers.” Stefano also produces a variety show in Portland called Follies: The Unofficially Best Ever Variety Show.
CLARA KING* NEVERBIRD/MERMAID/PUPPET ENSEMBLE Clara most recently appeared on the Mainstage in the ensemble of Shrek the Musical, and as Gregson in Sherlock Holmes. As a member of Interns NW,
she played Diana Morales in A Chorus Line and Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Clara is also a student of the Staged! Conservatory, and will attend Western Washington University in the fall to study theatre education. TIA LEMPERT MERMAID/ENSEMBLE Tia is thrilled to make her Mainstage debut following appearances in King Stag (Arleccino) and Brave New World (Arch Community Songster) on the Second Stage. She also performed in Mary Poppins (Statue/Chimney Sweep) and Once Upon A Mattress (Ensemble) at Lakeridge High School, where she is a sophomore. Tia thanks her wonderful family and friends for always supporting her, as well as all of her teachers.
SAM MAJORS JOHN DARLING Sam previously appeared this season as a Might Red in The Starlings Present: Amelia Earhart’s First Flight! Other performances include Crutchie in Disney’s NEWSIES and a Gypsy Dancer in The Hunchback of Notre Dame at Jesuit High School, and Anthony in Sweeney Todd at Animaté Voice Studios. A sophomore at Jesuit, Sam sends special thanks to his parents, his sister, and John Ellingson for believing in him.
GRACE MALLOY WENDY DARLING NWCT welcomes Grace back to the stage. Favorite roles include Gatekeeper/ Ensemble in NWCT’s Wizard of Oz, the title role in Judy Moody at Oregon Children’s Theater, Alison in Pinkalicious at Oregon Children’s Theater, and Jojo in Seussical at Theatre in the Grove. Grace is a sophomore at Forest Grove High School, an OCT Young Professional, and a Kids Co. and Studio NW alumni. She thanks her parents, voice teacher Karen Mallory, her wonderful family and friends, and everyone who believed that she can fly!
SINEAD MOONEY* MERMAID/PUPPET ENSEMBLE Sinead last appeared on the Mainstage in the ensemble of The Wizard of Oz, and as the Wolf in Snow White. She is an OCT Young Professional and an Intern at NWCT. She sends special thanks to her Mom and the Zodrow clan.
KEVIN-MICHAEL MOORE SMEE Kevin most recently appeared at NWCT as The Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood, Professor Marvel and the Wizard in The Wizard of Oz, and as Magic Mirror in Snow White. Other memorable NWCT roles include Mr. Meineke in Little Red Riding Hood, Shere Khan in The Jungle Book, Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka, and Smee in Peter Pan. Kevin has been acting, directing, and performing regionally for over thirty years, performing in excess of 300 productions at Portland Center Stage, Artists Repertory Theatre, Lakewood Theatre, Triangle Productions, and others. He has toured nationally with The 3rd Floor Sketch Comedy Troupe, and be seen on television shows Portlandia and Grimm; and on the big screen in the movie Wild.
MAX O’HARE* NANA/PUPPET ENSEMBLE Max previously performed as Friar Tuck in NWCT’s Robin Hood, Demetrius in Interns NW’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Gingy in Shrek the Musical at Oregon Episcopal School, where he is a junior. A second year NWCT Intern, Max is also on the OES Speech and Debate Team. He’d like to thank his family for always supporting him and helping him pursue his passions.
ELO PAULORINNE*** **** SLIGHTLY NWCT welcomes Elo for his Mainstage debut! A member of Kids Co. and Studio JR, Elo last appeared as Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night with Studio Jr, Garland Green in Kids Co.’s A Mistletoe Mystery, and Perchik in Fiddler on the Roof , Link in Hairspray at Multnomah Arts Center. CHARLOTTE SANDERS** *** TOOTLES NWCT welcomes Charlotte back to the Mainstage after her appearances in Wizard of Oz (Munchkin/Ensemble) and Shrek the Musical (Elf/Young Fiona). A Studio NW and Kids Co. member, Second Stage appearances include Honk! Jr. (Cat) and Romeo and Juliet (Mercutio). Charlotte is a seventh grader at Mt. Tabor Middle School, and has taken dozens of NWCT classes. She thanks her family, especially her granddad for driving her, and fuzzy socks.
RYDER THOMPSON PETER PAN Ryder is ecstatic to be playing Peter Pan! Previous appearances include NWCT’s The Wizard of
Oz (ensemble), Welcome to Willoughby and Holiday Academy with Kids Co., The Jungle Book (ensemble) with Broadway Rose, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Oompa Loompa) with Fowler Middle School, where he’s in the seventh grade. Ryder plays French horn, piano, ukulele, and sings constantly. He thanks his family, Sarah Jane, John and Rick Lewis for their endless support.
ISABELLA (IZZY) TRUJLLO MERMAID/PUPPET ENSEMBLE Izzy is delighted to be back on the Mainstage after appearing in Robin Hood (Olivia) The Wizard of Oz (Ensemble), and NWCT Second Stage productions A Chorus Line (Kristine) and West Side Story (A-rab). A student at ACMA and an Oregon Shakespeare Festival Summer Seminar ‘17 attendee, Izzy is excited to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy this coming Fall. When she’s not onstage, Izzy likes to bake, study Shakespeare, and watch improv.
PHILLIP WELLS MICHAEL DARLING Peter Pan is Phillip’s NWCT debut! Other performances include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Jeremy Potts) at Journey Theater Arts, A Christmas Carol (Peter Cratchit, Beggar, Turkey Boy) at Portland Playhouse, Best Christmas Pageant (Charlie Bradley) at Lakewood Theater, The Music Man (Winthrop) at Journey Youth Theater, and Gypsy (Newsboy) at Broadway Rose. creative team bios been seen in every NWCT production since 2006, when he began regularly performing, painting, and designing for the Mainstage. Following several seasons of assistant directing Sarah Jane Hardy, John co-directed Busy Town, which featured the first of his many puppet creations. 2015 marked his directorial debut with a circus-inspired production of The Little Mermaid, followed by 2016’s Snow White. After playing Captain Hook in two previous productions of Peter Pan, he is honored to rejoin this outstanding creative team in a new role. As the set, properties, and puppet designer, John wanted to invite audiences to experience the very best of the NWCT aesthetic—vibrantly colored designs and inventive, interactive puppets created to transport children and families beyond the stars. John believes that every aspect of theater should involve the audience in the magic of the story, and has enjoyed designing for dozens of NWCT
productions. Favorites include NWCT’s Starling series, for which John recently designed and fabricated over 50 original puppets, and Mary Poppins, which was the recipient of 7 Drammy Awards including Outstanding Achievement in Properties Design, and 6 PAMTAs including Outstanding Set Designer. Other memorable productions include James and the Giant Peach (2013 Drammy recipient for Special Design), The BFG (2012 Drammy Award for Outstanding Mask Design), Busytown, Snow White (PAMTA James Peppers Award for Visual Design), Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz, Go, Dog. Go! John studied puppetry in the U.K. as a recipient of the Portland Civic Theatre Guild’s Leslie O. Fulton Fellowship. He thanks everyone who has been a part of this very special season, his loving and supportive husband, Paul; and his partner in creative crime, Sarah Jane Hardy. Enjoy the show.

Other Portland work includes directing The Lesser Magoo for defunkt theatre (for which she received a Drammy) and The Secret Garden for Staged! As a 2017 recipient of the Theater for Young Audience’s Ann Shaw Fellowship, Sarah Jane traveled to Indonesia to study under Balinese shadow puppet master, I Made Sadia.
ZERO FEENEY FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHER Zero is an alumnus of the Academy of Theatrical Combat and Lewis and Clark College. His prior fight choreography credits include NWCT’s productions of The Jungle Book, Snow White, Peter Pan, and El Zorrito, Zero’s other interests include acting, modern dance, Krav Maga, writing fiction, and Fut Gar Kung Fu which he has studied for the past 17 years. He thanks the cast

for their hard work, commitment and creativity which formed the foundation on which these fights were built. He also thanks his wife Jen and daughter Molly for being his constant inspiration.
CARL FABER LIGHTING DESIGN Carl’s NWCT credits include Chitra: The Girl Prince, Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, and The Sun Serpent. Other recent Portland-area credits include designs with Artists Rep (Magellanica, Between Riverside & Crazy, 4000 Miles, The Price), Third Rail (The Angry Brigade, The Realistic Joneses), Broadway Rose (Trails, Beehive - Drammy Best Lighting Design), Profile Theatre (Water by the Spoonful, The Happiest Song Plays Last, Orlando, Dead Man’s Cell Phone), and Theatre Vertigo (Carnivora). Carl has designed regionally and internationally with Arena Stage, Boston Institute of Contemporary Art, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Ars
Nova, Theater Freiburg, and Shanghai Centre Theatre. He has worked in Touring Production for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, The National, and Bon Iver, and he is a Founding Member of the NYC-based immersive theater company, Woodshed Collective. NANCY CHRISTY COSTUME DESIGNER Nancy is thrilled to return to the designs of Neverland, after collaborating with
Shana Targosz on the original costume build. Currently NWCT’s Costume Shop manager, she designed Rock the Presidents, The Cat in the Hat, the premiere of Sherlock Holmes, and has worked on almost every NWCT show since Narnia (2009). Nancy’s work can also be seen at Artists Repertory Theatre, Broadway Rose Theatre, and Lakewood Theatre. She thanks everyone at NWCT for giving her the chance to do what she loves best.

ROGER MONROE COMPANY STAGE MANAGER Roger has served as NWCT’s resident stage manager for 18 seasons, including five productions of Peter Pan. In addition to co-directing NWCT’s Interns NW, Roger designs sets, lights, and properties for Main and Second Stage productions and Playlabs. Previously his work was seen in Robin Hood (2016), Sherlock Holmes, El Zorrito, Busytown, Rapunzel Uncut, The Hobbit (2009), The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Seussical, and The Magic Mrs. Piggle Wiggle (2002) for which he received a Drammy in Scene Design. Roger holds a B.S. in Theater Arts from Portland State University.

LU N C H Supervised lunch is 12:00-1:00 pm for ALLDAY CAMPERS. Campers must bring their own (peanut-free) lunch. NWCT does not provide refrigeration, microwave, or lunch for campers. Half-day campers are not permitted to attend lunch at NWCT and must be picked up at 12 PM.
Campers are picked up in their assigned camp room. Check the daily schedule for locations. If you choose to have your camper AGES 12+ ONLY picked up outside or leave the premises, you must complete a permission slip at check-in. Outside pickup is in the back parking lot only located at 19th and Flanders.
