I M I T A T I O N GAME
I tried a lot of different techniques of photo editing on Adobe Photoshop, including double exposure, liquify effects, interlacing texts and geometric photo collages.
Two of the major softwares we learnt in Elective-2 were Adobe Illustrator and Blender. Blender is a 3d object- making software on which we made various different objects like donuts, vases, and glasses. I used Illustrator to try various types of vector illustrations, portraits and text types.
Knowing the basic elements and principles of design is vital for any designer to create successful designs. In this module, we were taught important concepts like color theory, balance and shades, tessellation and Gestalt’s law of closure.
Unlearning was the very first module we learnt, and our first assignment was to create a superhero persona/ alterego. My alterego was a superhero called Lumina, who has the ability to use photokinesis. The module had a lot of group projects, which helped us students get to know eachother.
I had made a crib- mobile inspired by the sky for as my minor project for this semester. The colorful stars have a lot of little ‘moons’ inside them which help the baby fall asleep peacefully.
Ceramics are one of the most interesting things I’ve ever learnt. We learnt two methods, tile-making and pottery and it was a lot of fun. After baking the tiles, we used gloss to bring life to it and make the Worli Sealink Bridge of Mumbai.
Design process has to be followed by each and every designer for their projects. It helps create a systematic and organized flow of work.
These are some of the moodboards created for the graphic design trends for different years or seasons. Moodboards are a useful tool for trend forecasting and seasonal trend prediction.
This was a 40 minute study of the Sewing Lab of my college, Unitedworld Institute of Design. It was a colorful explosion of creativity and fashion, with fabric swatches and yarn spools everywhere I looked. Everyone there was deeply immersed in work.
This is a campaign designed against the caste reservations in the admissions of higher education of Indian students. The campaign focuses on the downsides of the caste reservations on the minority castes who are supposed to benefit from it but don’t.
‘Time of the Month’ is a booklet designed by me to create awareness about menstrual hygiene among the rural community of India. It is easy to manufacture and has lots of visuals to be easy to understand.
These are some realistic paintings and portraits made by me using acrylic colors as my medium. The paintings were made by using references of photographs taken by me. This helps me make sure that my work is 100% authentic.
