PRICELESS
The woman stood in the shadows, hoping no one would notice what she was about to do. Even if she went hungry today, she had purposed in her heart to give “her whole livelihood” (Mark 12:44, NKJV) to support “the cause she loved” (The Desire of Ages, p. 615). Quietly the woman moved toward the treasury, deposited two tiny coins, and hurried on her way, relieved that no one had seen her meager offering. But Someone had. “Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury,” Jesus told His disciples. “For they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had…” (Mark 12:43-44). Tears filled the woman’s eyes as the commendation fell on her ears. Jesus understood. That afternoon in the temple, Jesus was standing in the shadow of Calvary. In three days, He would give all for the cause He loved, a lost world that saw no more value in His offering than the widow’s mite. He would give a priceless gift that no one appreciated. The widow understood. Yet one day, she will rejoice to see how her gift became “… like a tiny stream flowing down through the ages, widening and deepening in its course, and contributing in a thousand directions to the extension of the truth and the relief of the needy” (The Signs of the Times, November 15, 1910). And one day soon, Jesus, too, will rejoice. “He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied” (Is. 53:11a, KJV). But first, He invites us to give all for the sake of those still waiting to hear the story of His priceless gift. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich” (2 Cor. 8:9, NKJV).

Education GIFT #1 – GIVE BUDDHIST YOUTH A CHANCE TO HEAR THE GOSPEL
F
ourteen-year-old Thuya* longed for an education. Hearing that the teachers at Ayeyarwady Adventist Seminary (AYAS) were good, she asked her Buddhist parents if she might attend school there. Although reluctant to send her to a Christian school, they finally agreed. “The most wonderful thing I have learned from this school is that God is our Creator and Jesus is our Savior,” Thuya says. “In January 2021, I decided to be baptized. Please pray that I will be a good example to my Buddhist family.” Thuya was one of six students baptized this past year as a result of the Home Away From Home project in Myanmar, a missionary training program designed to reach Buddhist communities by meeting the educational needs of the youth. This project provides housing, tuition, and medical missionary training to underserved Buddhist youth seeking an education at AYAS. Currently in its second year, the project has a strategic plan to become self-supporting through the operation of a community English language school and a small store. Your donation will grow this ministry so that many more may receive the gospel. $15 per month/$180 per year to cover a student’s tuition fees (20 needed) $1,800 to provide student housing or a teacher’s stipend (3 needed) for one year $14,715 to fund the entire project for one year 6
GIFT #2 – CHANGE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR ETERNITY “Whenever we have a problem, we must pray to God. He is always with us, and He will help us.” Remembering her teacher’s words, 11-year-old Chanthou,* who attends an ASAP school in Cambodia, began pleading with God to save her parents’ failing marriage. And He did! “I am so happy for this miracle God did for my family!” says Chanthou. Each year, thousands of at-risk, unreached children like Chanthou meet their prayer-hearing, miracle-working heavenly Father, thanks to your support for ASAP schools. Your gifts to ASAP’s Education Fund change their lives and, by God’s grace, their families. $50 suggested gift (any amount appreciated)
“The most wonderful thing I have learned from this school is that God is our Creator and Jesus is our Savior.” 7
GIFT #3 – SPONSOR A JUNGLE SCHOOL FOR DISPLACED CHILDREN The world’s longest-running civil war is in eastern Myanmar, where ethnic conflict has displaced the Karen people from their homes. Seven decades on the run have also robbed successive generations of the opportunity to get a quality education. While many Karen villages in the mountainous jungles along the Thai border are still strongholds of animism and Buddhism, the gospel has gained an entrance there through small schools established by Karen Adventists. ASAP now supports more than 30 of these schools. Help them bring the good news of the soon-coming Savior to the displaced children of this wartorn region. $155 per month/$1,860 per year to sponsor one jungle school (Costs vary based on school size. One-time gifts of any amount are also appreciated.)
GIFT #4 – SEND A POOR CHILD TO SCHOOL Six-year-old Manivanh* loves her classes at Panyasavanh School. She comes from a Buddhist family where her mom sells vegetables in the market and her dad pulls carts for a living. Without a stable income, they live from day to day. But at school Manivanh is able to make friends, learn, and hear stories about Jesus. Give the gift of love to students like Manivanh by sponsoring them, and watch their lives change as they learn of Jesus’ love for them. Manivanh says, “Thank you for giving your love by supporting me to have an education!” $30 per month/$360 per year to sponsor a student* *Visit the sponsorship section of our website to meet students in need of a sponsor. One-time gifts are also appreciated.
“It is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish” (Matthew 18:14, NKJV). 9
GIFT #5 – HELP A HISTORIC MISSION SCHOOL EXPAND ITS REACH Lay Poe Hta Adventist School was established in 1925 by Pu Htate Poe, a Karen Adventist won to Christ by Australian missionary Eric B. Hare. Since then, enrollment has grown to nearly 400 students. Following the recent coup in Myanmar, a new mission opportunity is opening as Buddhist families from neighboring villages clamor to transfer their children from government schools to Lay Poe Hta. The number of boarding students has doubled, and the school’s library has become their temporary living quarters. With funding for urgently needed boys’ and girl’s dormitories, the school can accommodate its current boarding students and admit 50 more. $9 for 100 bricks (25,000 bricks needed) $210 for 1,000 board feet of lumber (48,000 board feet needed) $20,415 to fund the entire building project
10
GIFT #6 – UPLIFT LITERACY 4 LIFE Imagine stepping foot into an ASAP Literacy 4 Life school in Cambodia. Your eyes alight on the face of a committed Adventist teacher like Chom Vanna, whose smile extends from ear to ear. You spot energetic students, eagerly devouring the truths in their My Bible First lessons. Beautiful Christian melodies flow from the mouths of children with Buddhist backgrounds. These schools are often the only Christian presence for miles. Your gift of $75 will go far to support this impactful program. $75 to provide a teacher’s stipend and classroom supplies for one month
11
Evangelism GIFT #7 – BRING THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL TO UNENTERED AREAS
F
our years ago, a Baptist minister named Denpo* and his wife, Gewa,* a former Buddhist, discovered the three angels’ messages and joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Unable to remain in the parish where Denpo served, the couple and their three sons lost both their home and their income. But an Adventist woman took them in, and eventually the Myanmar Union Mission learned about the family. With support from ASAP, Denpo is completing theological studies at Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary. He will soon launch to an unentered region in central Myanmar as an ASAP church planter. Gewa, who has basic nursing training and has enthusiastically embraced the Adventist health message, will accompany him as an ASAP medical missionary. Together, they will minister to Burmese Buddhists, the largest unreached people group (31 million) in Myanmar.
12
Denpo previously worked as a tour guide in the region where the couple will serve, and Gewa has been active in Buddhist outreach since her own conversion to Christianity. God has uniquely prepared them for this special work. Your gift to ASAP’s Evangelism Fund will help equip other missionaries like Denpo and Gewa serving among the unreached in Southeast Asia. $100 suggested gift (any amount appreciated) $6,600 to cover Denpo and Gewa’s launching costs, plus stipend and supplies for one year
GIFT #8 – SUPPORT CREATIVE OUTREACH IN A RESTRICTED ACCESS COUNTRY In a communist country where public evangelism is restricted, ASAP church planters have adopted creative outreach methods. Fellowship meals, soccer games, and visitation of the sick and elderly are just a few of the strategies that bring Adventist church members in contact with the unreached in their communities without arousing the suspicions of the local authorities. As the Holy Spirit leads, friendships blossom, gradually disarming prejudice against Christianity and opening hearts to the gospel. Though poor, church members willingly contribute what they can to support these efforts. Will you help them make connections for Christ? $4 for a soccer ball; $60 for a first aid kit; $100 for jerseys ($560 total needed) $20 for food to supplement the rice and fruit provided by church members at one weekly fellowship meal ($2,880 total needed) $40 per month to provide natural remedies for the sick and elderly ($1,440 total needed) 13
GIFT #9 – BUILD A FIRM FOUNDATION FOR MYANMAR CHURCHES Keep the congregation from falling through the floor! Bamboo structures built on stilts serve as homes for villagers throughout central Myanmar. As house-church congregations are growing to 40 or more members each Sabbath, these aging structures are in danger of collapsing under the additional weight. New, larger brick structures will not only keep the church members safe but will also serve as community centers where medical missionaries can offer health education programs. Your contribution will keep these evangelistic projects on solid ground. $5,000 to construct a new church building (3 needed)
“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people” (Revelation 14:6, NKJV).
GIFT #10 – EQUIP A CHURCH PLANTER FOR SUCCESS ASAP church planters serve in a wide variety of settings. This means that the tools required for their work can vary greatly. For example, while many walk or ride motorbikes to get around, boats are the only mode of transportation for others. Whereas some can move about their territory freely during the Covid-19 pandemic, others must conduct Bible studies and outreach activities online. And while some work in villages with a house church or church building, others labor in refugee camps where worship services are held in tents. In all of these circumstances, it is your gifts and the power of the Holy Spirit that equip these pioneering missionaries for success. $50 to provide Bible study materials for one church planter $100-$160 per month for a church planter’s stipend, depending on location* $180 to provide internet access $600 for a tent to provide a place of worship $900 for a motorized canoe *Visit the sponsorship section of our website to meet church planters in need of a sponsor. One-time gifts are also appreciated. 15
GIFT #11 – SEND A MESSAGE OF HOPE THROUGH THE AIRWAVES Through two radio ministries in Thailand, pastors serve the needs of listeners from the community and even visit them in their homes. A woman named Wanida called recently to express her happiness for having a Christian program on the local radio. When the pastor visited her in person, Wanida was delighted! Deeply moved by the care of the pastor, Wanida decided that she would come and worship with the local church every Sabbath. Provide truth and meaningful community to people like Wanida through your investment in the Thailand radio ministry. $2,779 to fund radio ministry in Ubon Ratchathani Province $3,305 to fund radio ministry in Surin Province
“Eighteen of Simon's displaced neighbors already accepted Jesus in baptism, and now... he will conduct evangelistic meetings this December.” 16
GIFT #12 – GIVE SEEKERS THE GIFT OF JESUS Simon Tin* was with them from the start, fleeing from their village, providing emergency supplies and rice in the Samee Refugee Camp, crying with them, and leading them to Jesus. Eighteen of Simon’s displaced neighbors already accepted Jesus in baptism, and now, after patiently teaching others, he will conduct evangelistic meetings this December. Would you like to give the gift of Jesus this Christmas to those who are seeking a Savior? Many other ASAP church planters plan to hold evangelistic meetings in the coming months. Your gift will match the local mission’s contribution of $100 per evangelistic series. That’s amazingly inexpensive compared to meetings in the U.S.! $100 per evangelistic series (18 needed)
17
Humanitarian Aid GIFT #13 – BE A FIRST RESPONDER WHEN DISASTER STRIKES
A
ye Aye Paw’s* heart pounded as fast as the gunfire exploding all around her. “Where’s Mother?” she silently screamed. Aye Aye quietly groped around in the dark looking for her, but discovered she was not with the group. “Protect my mom, Jesus.” The sound of bullets kept coming. Would they ever stop? “Are the Burmese soldiers inside the house?” Aye Aye wondered. With a surge of courage, she left her safe hiding spot and ran up the old wooden stairs of her home. “Mother?” she called out hesitantly when she got inside. Then she heard a small voice coming from a corner. “I’m okay! The bullets didn’t hit me,” her mother said weakly. Aye Aye Paw scooped the fragile, elderly frame into her arms and carried her to safety. “Thank you, Jesus, for saving my mother!” was her simple, grateful prayer. Your gifts to ASAP’s Humanitarian Fund provide for the urgent needs of the suffering. ASAP supplies tents, food, medicine, and more for the Karen on the Thai-Myanmar border, including Aye Aye Paw and her family. Last year, ASAP received an unprecedented number of requests due to the coup in Myanmar, Covid-19, etc. Help us be ready to respond in an instant. $100 suggested gift (any amount appreciated) 18
GIFT #14 – REVIVE PARCHED LAND WITH LIVING WATER Persistent drought in Cambodia has rendered historical water sources dry, even during the rainy seasons. With inadequate water for their crops and cattle, rural communities are facing the loss of income, as well as poor sanitation and disease. Pollution from chemical runoff is contaminating some of the water sources still remaining after the drought, further complicating accessibility to clean drinking water. Your donation will provide wells for nine communities served by ASAP missionaries. Please pray that the wells will restore these communities and open hearts to receive the Water of Life. $770-$2,070 to build a well, depending on location (9 needed)
19
“Village leaders have asked ASAP to build a treatment center on land donated by the villagers themselves.”
GIFT #15 – BRING THE MINISTRY OF HEALING TO KEL LIN SEIT Solomon* gave up drinking and came to Christ with the help of Ko Ko,* a longtime ASAP medical missionary. For the past four years, Solomon has dedicated his own life to medical missionary work, serving in the poor Buddhist villages surrounding Ko Ko’s health center in Myanmar. One of those villages, Kel Lin Seit, has witnessed fifteen baptisms in the past six years. Now, village leaders have asked ASAP to build a treatment center on land donated by the villagers themselves. The proposed building will house not only the treatment center but also a house church where Solomon can nurture the new believers and continue sharing the healing ministry of Jesus. $4,025 to build the treatment center 20
GIFT #16 – PROVIDE HEALING TO SUFFERING SOULS ASAP medical missionaries work day and night to alleviate the pain of people afflicted with both basic and extreme health problems. Just this year, the team received a stage-4 cancer patient for treatment. During the patient’s stay she heard about God for the first time, learned how to pray, and started to pray on her own and attend church. Now she says that even if she isn’t healed of cancer she will pray to the Living God. Give hope and healing to the many suffering souls across Southeast Asia through the work of dedicated medical missionaries. $120 per month/$1,440 per year to sponsor a medical missionary* *Visit the sponsorship section of our website to meet medical missionaries in need of a sponsor. One-time gifts are also appreciated.
“We are to remember that our neighbor is the one who most needs our sympathy and help. Our neighbor is every soul who is wounded and bruised by the adversary. Our neighbor is every one who is the property of God” (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 6, p. 294). 21
GIFT #17 – GIVE LIGHT TO THOSE IN DARKNESS ASAP church planters like Nathan Tin* (Myanmar) and Paul Tai* (closed country) work in areas so remote that access to electricity is scarce. This makes it difficult for their church plants to hold mid-week prayer meetings or evening vespers programs. Solar panels would not only solve this problem, but also create ministry opportunities, since community members come to the church to charge their batteries, phones, and flashlights at designated times. In the process, they mingle with church members and have the chance to join the worship services. $330 (average) to supply solar panels for one church plant
GIFT #18 – SUPPORT THE GREAT PHYSICIAN’S ASSISTANTS While conducting door-to-door visitation with her husband, an Adventist pastor, ASAP medical missionary Susanna Maung* frequently encounters people sick with malaria and other ailments. She prepares herbal remedies for them, counsels them about the use of mosquito nets, and prays with them. “I am not a doctor or a nurse, but as a medical missionary I can bring people to Jesus like the friends of the paralytic man in the Bible,” she says. “I explain that Jesus is the Great Physician, and He can heal the sick.” Your gifts provide Susanna and other medical missionaries with the supplies they need to bring healing and relief to the ailing. $45 per month/$540 per year (average) to cover travel expenses and supplies for one medical missionary

REFUGEES & PERSECUTED PEOPLE GIFT #19 – ENCOURAGE GOD’S WORKERS IN DANGEROUS, OPPRESSIVE PLACES
I
saac Tang* calmly responded, “I know I don’t have much education as a school security guard, but I know Jesus changed my life from aimlessly drinking with friends every night to being a responsible, law-abiding citizen. I’m compelled to share my story and the truth because the Bible says, ‘Freely you have received, freely give’” (Matt. 10:8b). This answer infuriated the police officer and he struck the desk with his fist, yelling, “Don’t talk to me about heavenly things when you are a mere mortal here on earth. How dare you preach to me when you aren’t even a pastor! You have no right to pass out those sermon DVDs. It’s illegal!” Isaac responded, “I was not selling them, but giving them to my friends as gifts. I never coerce them to join my religion. I invite them with joy.” The officer’s anger rose, and he muttered, “I can’t talk to this 24
stupid guy anymore.” He thrust a paper of confession in Issacs’s face, demanding him to sign. Isaac refused. ASAP missionaries and believers like Isaac living in communist countries endure harassment and persecution daily. When you come alongside them through your prayers and financial support for the GWIDOP (God's Work in Dangerous, Oppressive Places) Fund, it brings salve to their wounded hearts. $100 suggested gift (any amount appreciated)
GIFT #20 – BREAK THE BONDS OF THE UNREACHED IN AMERICA Of the 327,000 Hmong living in America, 11,000 live in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where church planter Pr. Chanchai lives and works. One of the least-reached language groups from Southeast Asia, the Hmong are traditionally animists who worship the spirits. Their religion involves complex shaman rituals deeply tied to Hmong culture. Many second-generation Hmong worry that their lack of knowledge about the spirit world will threaten their livelihood and health. Your donations support Pr. Chanchai and other church planters as they work to free these precious people from spiritual bondage through the truth and power of the Holy Spirit. $500-$2,000 per month to support one refugee/immigrant church planter in North America (any amount appreciated)
25
GIFT #21 – GIVE HOPE TO THE HMONG IN A CLOSED COUNTRY Join ASAP in a new opportunity to provide stipends, training, resources, and aid to Hmong believers in a closed country. The Hmong in this country experience oppression and persecution from the government. Let’s come alongside them and give the spiritual and humanitarian support they desperately need. God opened the way for Hmong Seventh-day Adventist pastors in the U.S. and another country to spearhead this initiative, so join us and Jesus, “for He has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden His face from him but has listened to his cry for help” (Ps. 22:24). $175 per month/$2,100 per year to provide a Hmong church planter’s stipend, sharing resources, and annual training expenses (12 needed) $15,000 to establish a humanitarian fund for the Hmong in this closed country
“The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow…” (Psalm 146:9, NKJV).
GIFT #22 – EDUCATE REFUGEES THROUGH THE ETERNITY ASAP E-SCHOOL Anaya,* a Pakistani eighth grader, has benefited from Adventist education for the past five years, while living as a refugee in Southeast Asia. She gratefully wrote the following: “Thank you, ASAP! In school, I have been taught how I can be a true child of Jesus by following His guidance given to me in the Bible… I pray that Jesus blesses ASAP with funding needed to support not only me, but many other refugee children who need an education all over the world.” Jesus can use you to answer Anaya’s prayer and help support the Eternity ASAP eSchool, a new initiative providing online hybrid Adventist education to refugees. $335 per laptop computer for refugee students (30 needed) $750 per month/$9000 per year for one teacher’s salary (2 needed) $56,300 to fund the entire project for one school year (any amount appreciated)
27
GIFT #23 – REACH AFGHAN REFUGEES STARTING A NEW LIFE IN AMERICA The U.S. will receive tens of thousands of Afghan refugees this year and Texas is expected to be one of the top states for resettlement. With your support, ASAP’s Reach the World Next Door (RWND) project in Houston will be ready to welcome, assist, and befriend them. Additionally, with the support of RWND’s all-new training course on cross-cultural ministry, Adventists everywhere can learn how to do the same for the refugees arriving in their communities. Refugees are never more open to the gospel than when they first arrive in a new country. Help transform the tragedy in Afghanistan into an opportunity for restoration and discipleship. $75 to sponsor a children’s program for refugees (20 needed) $1,500 to sponsor a health expo $3,560 to promote the training course and facilitate training groups across North America each month
28
GIFT #24 – LIGHT THE LAMP OF GOD’S WORD IN A DARK COUNTRY In a closed country where discussing certain subjects openly can result in arrest, citizens are often afraid to talk to strangers. Covid-19 has brought further social isolation and fear. In answer to this dilemma, ASAP church planters use a simple method of entering a village and leaving small tracts behind, inviting people to learn more by tuning in to radio, TV, and online evangelism programs. The response to this method has been overwhelming as requests are pouring in for more literature and Bibles. Your donation will provide these resources, filling the spiritual need of hungry souls. $1 to print a My Bible First Sabbath School quarterly (2,500 needed) $0.50-$1.50 to print Spirit of Prophecy books and other sharing resources (31,500 needed) $10 for a Bible (1,000 needed)
“The response to this method has been overwhelming, as requests are pouring in for more literature and Bibles.” 29
TRANSFORMATIONAL PROJECTS GIFT #25 – TRANSFORM AN IMPOVERISHED VILLAGE IN MYANMAR
A
ll day women and children line up at one of several hand-dug wells scattered along the outskirts of Aung Chan Thar, awaiting their turn to fetch water. Many wait long into the night, especially during the dry season when some of the wells run dry and others produce only 20 liters of water per day. “The water supply is the biggest problem in the village,” one of the older women told ASAP’s field supervisor during a recent visit. But access to clean water is not the only problem in this settlement, where day laborers have flocked to work on the new plantations nearby. There also aren’t any churches or schools in the village. Moved with compassion, the leaders of the Ayeyarwady Mission have asked ASAP to help open a wholistic ministry serving the poor families living in the settlement. A young church planter and his family have already agreed to move there. Now, they are awaiting funding to renovate a building for a house 30
church and construct a proper well for the villagers. Your gift can be the catalyst for this transformational project! $150 per month for the church planter’s stipend, travel, and supplies $1,655 to build a well $5,005 to renovate a building for a house church $8,460 to fund the entire project for one year (any amount appreciated)
GIFT #26 – TRANSFORM THAI LAYPEOPLE INTO TENTMAKER MISSIONARIES As travel restrictions begin to lift in Thailand, preparations are underway for the next cohort of students to arrive at ASAP’s tentmaker missionary training center in Ayutthaya. Thanks to the generosity of ASAP donors, renovations to the property have begun. The addition of prefabricated bungalows will increase student housing capacity, while a new multipurpose building will house the kitchen facilities and space for small engine repair classes. Combined with vocational instruction, a revised and expanded spiritual training curriculum will empower Adventist laypeople to become self-supporting missionaries to the 61 million unreached people in Thailand. $185 per month to provide food and health insurance for one trainee (20 needed) $3,000 to cover the salary of a vocational trainer (2 needed) $8,004 to supply spiritual training materials and equipment for vocational training $58,494 to fund the entire project for one year (any amount appreciated)
31
GIFT #27 – BE A CHANGE AGENT FOR KATELAY The village of Katelay in Myanmar is so remote it takes three hours to travel over rugged, mountainous terrain to reach the nearest neighboring village. During the rainy season Katelay is completely cut off from all outside access due to river flooding conditions. Its remote location has isolated the residents from access to education and economic opportunities, leaving them destitute and illiterate. Originally founded by displaced Karen refugees fleeing persecution from Burmese military forces, its current residents are Karen animists, Christians, and Buddhists. Your gift to Katelay will provide a new school, two teachers, a Bible worker, and the opportunity to hear the three angels’ messages. $120 per month/$1,440 per year to send a teacher to Katelay (2 needed) $150 per month/$1,800 per year to send a church planter to Katelay $405 to provide textbooks, classroom equipment and supplies $6,085 to fund the entire project (any amount appreciated)
“During the rainy season Katelay is completely cut off from all outside access... Its remote location has isolated the residents from access to education and economic opportunities...”
GIFT #28 – START AN AGRICULTURAL PROJECT TO SUSTAIN ASAP MISSIONARIES Elephant foot yams are large circular tubers with a flesh similar to a sweet potato or yam. At full size the vegetable can be up to a foot in diameter and weigh several pounds! These qualities make it an ideal cash crop, especially since they can be grown and propagated in large quantities. Adventist leaders in Thailand plan to develop a large plot of land where they can cultivate the yams as well as other fruits and vegetables. This sustainable source of income will support teachers, church planters, and medical missionaries serving displaced families from Myanmar. $1.50 per unit of seed yams (5,000 units needed) $600 for water supply and storage $2,500 for a tractor $79,970 to fund the entire project, including land (any amount appreciated)
33
GIFT #29 – EMPOWER SELF-SUPPORTING MISSIONARIES IN A COMMUNIST COUNTRY In a communist country with barely 2,000 Adventists, nearly 400 people have been baptized into the church in the past year alone! Several of those baptisms took place at the Living Water Vocational Training Center, where Adventist young people are learning organic farming techniques while receiving spiritual training and conducting outreach in a nearby village. A satellite program in the city offers barber training, as well. Imagine the impact as more students graduate from the training center each year and spread out across the country, serving as tentmaker missionaries in unreached villages! $150 to cover a student’s room and board for one month (12 needed) $15,252 to provide training equipment, supplies, and curriculum $48,772 to fund the entire project for one year (any amount appreciated)
34
GIFT #30 – HELP THE MARGINALIZED BECOME MISSIONARIES What feeds your soul spiritually? Is it the Bible, 3ABN, AudioVerse, camp meetings, ASI conventions, GYC, inspirational podcasts, videos, or books? Most of you reading this would probably answer ALL OF THE ABOVE! If you asked this question to an ASAP missionary, their first answer, of course, would be the Bible. But right up there would be ASAP training events, their lifeline. At these events they pray together, grow in their abilities to share their faith, and newer Christians with Buddhist backgrounds become solid in their beliefs. One training costs an average of $200 per worker. Will you send a worker to training today? $200 to send one worker to an ASAP training $138,800 to send every ASAP worker to training this year (any amount appreciated)
“The world needs today what it needed nineteen hundred years ago—a revelation of Christ. A great work of reform is demanded, and it is only through the grace of Christ that the work of restoration, physical, mental, and spiritual, can be accomplished” (The Ministry of Healing, p. 143).
