PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE I am
truly honored to be the new president of the ASCE Truckee Meadows Branch. Being a part of this branch and its board has been a great professional addition to my career and I will work hard to keep our branch growing and supporting our engineering community. I am very confident that our incoming ASCE TMB Board will continue in the successful footsteps of our predecessors. I would like to thank everyone for their service and continued support. This year we are looking to keep working on many of our continued goals such as outreach, student support, industry education, and continuing to increase the value of our organization to our membership. What can you do to help us reach our goals?
Encourage your company to continue their sponsorship, move their sponsorship up to the next level or become a new sponsor. Attend our events. Luncheons will continue to be held monthly with a wide variety of speakers and topics. We will also continue to support local networking opportunities, technical tours and outings through our amazing YMF. Submit your local projects, engineers, and young engineers for recognition at our Annual Awards and Student Recognition Banquet to be held in March of 2017. Give us feedback! Have a great idea for a luncheon speaker? Reach out to us! Interested in becoming a member of the board? Reach out to us! Need more information on the golf tournament? Reach out to us! Please always feel free to reach out and let us know how we are doing and if there is anything you would like to see us work on.
I am very excited for this coming year and am very confident, with your help and continued participation, that it will be a successful one for our branch. I would like to thank our sponsors, all of our members, and the students for allowing me to step into the role of president and I promise to give the position and this branch the dedication and effort it deserves.
