Monthly Newsletter December 2017
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Season’s Greetings! May you and your loved ones enjoy a safe and wonderful holiday season filled with joy. In the spirit of the season, the ASCE Truckee Meadows Branch has two excellent events planned for December with the focus on giving back to the Northern Nevada community:
Food Bank of Northern Nevada Volunteer Event (December 6) - Each year during the holiday season, the younger members of ASCE TMB organize a volunteer event at the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in our community and we hope that you will join us. There are still spots available, so please reach out if interested.
ASCE/APWA Charity Luncheon (December 12) - Every December, the Truckee Meadows Branch of ASCE joins with the local APWA chapter to host a joint luncheon where a local charity is supported. Thank you APWA for including us in this event! This year’s luncheon will support the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation. The event includes a raffle with amazing prizes. Raffle tickets are available for purchase or will also be given out in exchange for donations to the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation. Donations requested are listed on the event flyer included in this newsletter. Please come and join us for lunch and in supporting another great local charity!
With the end of the year approaching, please keep in mind we are concluding our annual ASCE Truckee Meadows Branch sponsorship drive. If you are interested in becoming a new sponsor or renewing your sponsorship, please get your forms submitted. The deadline is December 15. We offer several levels of sponsorship for any budget, all which feature benefits and exposure for your company. Your sponsorship will allow our branch to continue to offer great activities to you and our other members, including: professional development and networking opportunities though monthly luncheons and technical tours, PE review courses, and our Annual Awards and Student Recognition Banquet in March 2018. For those companies who have already made sponsorship commitments, we thank you for your continued support. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities and have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and a cheerful and hopeful new year!
