Monthly Newsletter February 2018

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE February and March are shaping up to be some busy months for the ASCE Truckee Meadows Branch. Beyond our regular luncheons and board of director meetings, we will also be holding two of our bigger annual events: Student Office Crawl in February and the ASCE Annual Awards and Student Recognition Banquet in March. We have many companies participating in our annual Student Office Crawl event. This is a great event and an excellent chance for students to interact with future employers and learn more about the industry. There is still time for students to RSVP for the event, so please help get the word out to the students so they don’t miss this unique opportunity. The ASCE Annual Awards and Student Recognition Banquet will be held at the Peppermill on the evening of Thursday, March 8, 2018. Included in this newsletter are nomination forms for project and engineer of the year awards, as well as student scholarship applications for the banquet. Please complete to nominate the outstanding projects and engineers that make the Truckee Meadows a better place. Nominations are due on February 8, so please hurry to submit the great projects and engineers in our community! We have a great speaker and emcee lined up for the event. You can RSVP for the event now through our website. Also, for companies interested in sponsoring a table for the event, please complete the form included in this newsletter or go to our website reserve your table. We hope all of you will attend this special event to celebrate all the great projects, engineers and students that we have in our community.
