YOUR SUMMER ADVENTURE AWAITS! For more than 15 years, the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill, SC has offered summer camps to local children of all ages and interests. The Greenway provides 2,100 acres of preserved land to hike, bike, fish, and kayak your way to a summer full of exploration and adventure. Greenway Summer Camps allow kids an opportunity to put down the gadgets, get outside, and explore something awesome - the great outdoors! During 2021, Greenway and FLYERS summer camps provided an opportunity for campers to go on adventures and make new friends, in a safe and welcoming environment. We were excited to see both new and returning camp families across our camps, and we look forward to welcoming our returners and meeting new friends in 2022! It is the mission of Greenway Summer Camps to give children a chance to experience and celebrate nature. They arrive home muddy and tired, full of outdoor experiences they won’t soon forget. Our most popular Greenway camp is the ACA-accredited Adventure Seekers program geared toward ages six to fourteen. This camp welcomed over 2,000 kids this past summer, providing a wide array of outdoor experiences, including kayaking, fire-building, fishing, archery, fort building, mountain biking, hiking, stream stomping and more. Other popular camps include the Tiny Timbers (ages three to four) & Little Critters (ages five to six), which offer similar activities as Adventure Seekers but to a younger audience, as well as FLYERS full-day camps (rising 1st–6th graders, takes place in Fort Mill Elementary Schools), Equestrian Camps (ages eight to 14), and Camps at Springmaid Mountain. From hikes to horseback rides, to swimming and stream stomping, to creativity and character development, take advantage of camp programs for ages three to 16, offering a variety of unique outdoor experiences for all ages and interests.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS Updated October 26, 2021
The past two years, our summer camps have had to adapt as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The health and safety of our campers, their families, and our staff is of utmost importance, and as such, we strive to ensure that our campers can still experience summer camp in a healthy and safe environment. Following CDC, government, and American Camp Association guidance, the Anne Springs Close Greenway enacted the following measures in response to COVID-19. We expect that summer 2022 will follow these protocols, to ensure the safety of your campers and our staff, but we are prepared to adapt based on any new guidance from the CDC, ACA, or government officials. These protocols include: • Enhanced cleaning of all facilities, daily by camp staff utilizing CDC approved COVID-19 cleaning procedures • Increased hand washing and hand sanitation amongst campers and staff • Masks are worn by staff during drop-off and pick-up • Maximize time outdoors and turn off AC in buildings to help limit the spread of water droplets (Adventure Seekers Camps) To help provide as safe an environment as possible, we ask that if your camper or anyone in their household has tested positive for COVID-19, experienced COVID-19 symptoms, or has been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive within 14 days of your child’s registered week, that you notify camp leadership and that your child stay home from camp. We recognize and see the need for our campers to be able to interact safely with their peers and with our staff. By implementing the above protocol, we are able to meet the needs of our campers while providing a safe and fun atmosphere. *Please note that these protocols apply only to Greenway & Springmaid Mountain Residential camps and are subject to change based on CDC, ACA, or government guidance. All FLYERS summer camps will follow the FMSD COVID protocols and preventative procedures.

LEADERS IN TRAINING (Rising 9th— Rising 12th Grades) Must be 14 before the first day of training.
Our Leader-In-Training program is designed for those who are ready to begin the transition from camper to counselor by using their camp experience to help create positive experiences for younger campers. New this year: we have expanded the eligible age groups for LITs - rising 9th through rising 12th grade students may now apply to this program (applicants must be 14 before the first day of training). LITs assist the Counselors in leading groups of campers, and they have the opportunity to participate in many camp activities. LITs must be responsible with strong leadership abilities. Prospective LIT’s must sign up and pay the deposit like they would as a camper. To apply, applicants must submit their unique application and two letters of recommendation from non-family members. These will be reviewed by our Camp Director who may follow-up with more questions. Once an application has been reviewed, you will receive an email from the Camp Director with instructions on how to proceed. LIT’s will be required to attend a one week training May 30th - June 3rd. After that they will be required to volunteer for at least two weeks of camp but are welcome to volunteer for as many as they want. LIT applications can be found at ASCGreenway.org/camps.
