DRESSING PROCEDURE
1. Wash your hands with antiseptic solution when required
2. Wear protective mask and cap
3. Wear non-sterile gloves to remove the previous dressing
4. Wear sterile gloves
5. Create and maintain a sterile field
6. Use sterile gauze pads and saline solution on skin or ports
7. Use sterile gauze pads and antiseptic solution on skin or ports
8. Perform the appropriate technique for skin antisepsis (movements going from the centre to the periphery)
9. Let the antiseptic dry for 10/20 seconds
10. Apply the dressing and keep the field sterile
11.Record adequately
12. Wash your hands after removing gloves
LINE MANAGEMENT

2. Wear protective mask and cap when required (tunnelled CVCs)
3. Wear gloves
4. Wear sterile gloves when required (opening of tunnelled CVCs)
5. Create and maintain a sterile field when required
6. Use sterile gauze pads and antiseptic solution on ports
7. Perform the appropriate technique for antisepsis (or energetically scrub the ports)
8. Replace the red end cap after opening the port
9. Wash your hands after removing gloves
