CHAIRMAN'S WELCOME Good afternoon and welcome to todays final game of the season against our visitors Ingles FC and may I extend a very special and warm welcome to the players, officials and supporters of Ingles FC and hope you enjoy our hospitality. Unfortunately I am not at todays game but would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our spectators for your continued support over the season both with the first team and the Knights. I would like to extend my thanks to the Management team of Andy, Pete, Rich for the effort and work they have put in since picking up the reigns with the first team and I am sure they now have a better understanding of what is required to move us forward next season on the field. Further to the work that the first team Management have done, I would like to congratulate, Rob and Andy for their first season together in managing the Knights and let’s hope that as a minimum they finish runners up. The managers of the respective teams cannot do what they need to so without the players so thank you to all the players that have represented the senior teams this season and look forward to you all returning next season with the commitment and desire to move us forward on the field. My extended thanks go to the junior coaches, players and parents that have represented the club this season and as we finish this season with some successes, we predict to be starting next season with 16-18 teams as we continue to grow our foundation as a club. The operation of the club would not be possible without our committed and extremely hard working volunteers and my sincere thanks go to the management team and support staff that continue to work hard to ensure the club moves forward and provides a fantastic experience for all of our visitors. FIRST TEAM UPDATE Hello all. Welcome to our final game of this season. Our short time at the club has allowed us to fully assess the depth and quality of the current crop of players. It's been a difficult time as injuries and commitment levels have been a major drawback in our development. It has however, clearly shown the areas in which we need to improve. During the coming months we will be looking to add several players in key areas in readiness for pre-season. We hope too, that all players remain at the club and attempt to improve. Also I am personally very much looking forward to the further integration of 'player pathway'. This is a scheme that is designed to develop the youth system at the club and bring players through in to adult football. Next season's U18's Midweek squad will be involved in certain training sessions alongside the 1st Team and Knights as we look to tap into the resources of the up and coming talent that is already at the club. Finally, as always I hope you enjoy your afternoon and look forward to your continued support next season. Regards Pete, Rich and Andy Gray FIRST TEAM UPDATE SPONSORED BY

IN OPPOSITION TODAY Ingles FC The club was established in 1972, and joined Division One of the North Leicestershire League. After finishing ninth in their first season, they were relegated to Division Three. The club were Division Three champions in 1973–74 and went on to win the Division Two title the following season. In 1975–76 they were runners-up in Division One (Princes), earning a third successive promotion to move up to the Premier Division. In 1978–79 the club won the league's Bonser Trophy, and in 1980–81 they were runners-up in the Premier Division. A successful period in the 1990s saw Ingles win the Premier Division title in 1992–93 and 1995–96, the Cobbin Trophy in 1993-94, 1994-1995 and 1997-1998 as well as the Bonser Trophy in 1993–94. They were also runners-up in the league in 1994–95, 1996–97 and 1998–99. In 2003–04 the club finished bottom of the Premier Division and were relegated to Division One. However, after finishing as runners-up in Division One the following season, they were promoted back to the Premier Division. During another period of success in the late 2000s the club won the Premier Cup in 2006–07 and 2008– 09 and the Bonser Trophy in 2008–09 and 2009–10. After winning the Premier Division for a third time in 2013–14, the club moved up to Division One of the Leicestershire Senior League in 2014. Ingles' first season in Division One ended with a third placed finish, resulting in promotion to the Premier Division. In 2017–18 the club won the title on goal difference, earning promotion to the East Midlands Counties League. The 2018/19 season saw Ingles enter the FA Vase for the first time in the clubs history. After a replay victory over Melton Town in the 1st qualifying round Ingles went out to higher league Rugby Town in the next round.

THE OPPOSITION STAPENHILL They were formed in 1947 and ten years after formation they joined the Leicestershire Senior League Division Two and found immediate success, gaining promotion in their debut season and winning the Division One championship in the following two seasons. They remained in that division, apart from a single season (1971/1972) in Division Two, winning the top flight, now renamed the Premier Division, twice more – 1986/1987 and 1988/1989. They then joined the Midland Combination Premier Division, staying there for five seasons until they became a founding member of the Midland Alliance where they remained until resigning from the league in January 2002. Later that year they joined the Leicestershire Senior League and were promoted as runners-up into the Premier Division. In the 2007/2008 season, they were members of the Midland Football Alliance, but after a fire ravaged their home stadium the club was forced to close down. The club reformed in 2009 and rejoined the Leicestershire Senior League and gained promotion to the EMCL in the 2012/2013 season. ASHBY IVANHOE FC CLUB HISTORY
19 4 8 - 2 01 8
70 YE AR S
The club currently consists of three adult teams and a youth team. The first team play in the East Midlands Counties League, with the Reserves in the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division. In the 2008/2009 season the club formed a Youth Team (Under 18’s) side who play in the Leicestershire Midweek Floodlit Youth League on Wednesday nights. A Sunday team was re-introduced for this season and they play in the Burton Sunday League Division Four. The club also has a large number of junior sides ranging from Under 7’s through to Under 18’s who play in the Burton Junior Football League, Tamworth Junior Football League and the Derby City League. The junior section came after the club merged with the David Hunt Soccer School at the beginning of the 2009/2010 season. In February 2004, Ashby Ivanhoe became an FA Charter Standard football club. The club is very ambitious and has plans to progress further up the league pyramid system. The club is run by an experienced management team and enjoys the support of some very prestigious commercial partners. Ashby Ivanhoe had one of their most successful seasons in 2010/2011 as they completed a league and cup double by winning the Leicestershire Senior League by nine points and also lifted the Coalville Charity Cup for the very first time after producing a superb second half comeback to beat Bardon Hill 3-2 in the final. They have also reached successive Leicestershire Senior Cup finals in 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 but had to settle for runners-up on both occasions losing 3-1, firstly to Ibstock United and then Aylestone Park. The 2013/2014 season saw the first team achieve a long-term ambition as they won promotion into the Step 6 East Midlands Counties League for the 2014/2015 season after finishing third place in the Leicestershire Senior League. It was a close title race with the top three all finishing level on points with Ashby third on goal difference. The Reserves were also promoted to the Leicestershire Senior League Division One. 2014/2015 saw Ashby compete at Step 6 of the non-league pyramid for the first time and they had a very good season and secured a top six finish in the East Midlands Counties League which featured victories against all of the sides above them. The Reserve side were involved in a tight title race and it went down to a last day decider against Lutterworth Athletic Reserves but despite the result going against them on the day they were still promoted for the second season in succession and would play at Step 7 in the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division for 2015/2016.

ASHBY IVANHOE FC CLUB HISTORY 2015/2016 saw Ashby have another fine season and they mounted a strong title challenge and they led the East Midlands Counties League for the majority of the season before finally finishing in third place. That saw them assured of a first ever appearance in the FA Cup for the 2016/2017 season. Last season was the most memorable in the history of Ashby Ivanhoe Football Club. For the very first time in the clubs history they were accepted to play in the most famous club competition in the world, The FA Cup. It turned into a thrilling journey with higher ranked opponents of Quorn and Loughborough Dynamo knocked out before Ashby fell to Ilkeston in the 1st Qualifying Round. Prior to the Ilkeston defeat Ashby received a visit from the FA Cup which was paraded through the town centre visiting local sponsors before players and spectators had the opportunity to view the cup at the NFU Sports Ground. The league season was inconsistent with a strong finish to the season seeing the team finish in tenth place. The season did end with a first appearance in the final of the Jenkins & Jenkins League Cup but Dunkirk overturned a one goal deficit late on to see Ashby end as runners-up.
