He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Patty Heather and Judy Heather; and a brother in infancy, Charles Heather. Bob was a 1963 graduate of Ashland High School. He was currently employed with the Teachers Retirement System where he has served on their staff for 15 years. Bob was also a talented printer having formerly worked for Rudin Printing and The Printing Center, both of Springfield. In his spare time, he owned and operated Printer’s Ink of Ashland where he edited and published “The Ashland Scoop”. He was a member of the Ashland United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Ashland Jaycees. Funeral services were held 10:00 am Saturday at the Ashland United Methodist Church in Ashland with burial at Ashland Cemetery. The family met friends at the church from 5:00 to 7:30 pm Friday. Memorial gifts are suggested to Ashland United Methodist Church or Ashland Volunteer Fire Dept. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Ashland was in charge of the arrangements.
