June DCM – June 9, 2016 Shoutout to my lovely sister division boardies, Vivia Zhu and Rheanna Borromeo for making it to my June Banquet.

GREETINGS FROM YOUR LTG Hello hello everybody! It’s finally June, which means it’s already half way through the year of 2016! Wow… This is also the time of the year where our lovely senior (citizen) Key Clubbers are graduating in a matter of days, as this issue is released. This is very bittersweet, but we all know it’s the cycle of life… and Key Club. With graduation season here, we must remember those who’ve made significant impacts on our lives, Key Club related or not (shoutout to Kim Anh Tran). For the rest of us, we’re either pretty much dead or pumped for the end of the year. I know for me, I’m just trying to get through my finals without crying for the 50th time (this week). Other than my problems, give this final week of school your last go, and celebrate at the end when you’re finally free (I know I’ll be celebrating). The spring season has been great, but who’s ready to splash into action in the summer? In Caring and Service,

Ashley Villanueva

Lieutenant Governor of Division 32 Pacific Northwest District E: ashleyvillanueva.ltg32@gmail.com

This past month, Key Club International has announced its 38th nation – Brazil! The first official chartered club of Brazil is the Key Club of Escola Americana. Read more about Brazil on the link above.

NAL UPDATES Indonesia has eliminated MNT! We are now 20 countries away from eliminating MNT from the entire world! Click on the link below to see the Elimination Progress! http://sites.kiwanis.org/Kiwanis/en/th eELIMINATEproject/Progress/Progress Dashboard.aspx

http://www.keyclub.org/kcn/16-05-01/We_re_turning_91.aspx

Key Club turned 91 on May 7, 2016! Going back many, MANY years, the first Key Club meeting formed in 1925 in CA unbeknownst to the fact that 91 years later, it would be the oldest and largest student-led organization in the world. Also, KCI is two years older than sliced bread. (TOASTY?)

DIVISION 32:

The May DCM was a nice get together for members in the division to have hangout time as well as form bonds through small group activities! We started out with the classic Question game, then moved on to the team building activities. Groups worked diligently to build the marshmallow structure using only “Yes” or “No” questions. All structures were successfully built! I shared information from KCI and the District, including upcoming DCMs, ICON candidates from the PNW, and the RECAPpucino video! Lastly, the groups battled against each other to see who could move the M&M’s from one cup to another the quickest using only a straw. Needless to say, we have many competitive dragons in D32!

DCM RECAP

SEATTLE AREA: M

16

The annual Seattle Area Joint DCM was on Saturday, May 28th, 2016. For the afternoon, members from divisions all around the Greater Seattle Area; 21, 22/24, 26, 27, 28, 32, and 33, gathered at Gene Coulon Park in Renton. The LtG’s led icebreakers and held divisional time to share info. We held a Miracle Minute and raised over $200. Since we raised $200 during the Miracle Minute, members were able to pie the LtG’s and District Governor with whip cream. Additionally, a ShareTea fundraiser was held, and we raised about $150! In total, we raised about $350 for the District Project, KCCP, great job everyone! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it! 
