Join Peter and I in our last DCM of our terms: Pre-Con 2017! Come to finally receive your divisional spirit gear, learn DCON chants, partake in a huge Miracle Minute, and just be hype and spirited as a whole! *PRE-CON IS MANDATORY FOR DCON ATTENDEES TO ATTEND. Message or email me at ltg32@pnwkeyclub.org if you cannot make it.

“Division 32” ribbons will be sold for $1 at Pre-Con!

Click here to watch the Spirit Committee perform the divisional cheers for DCON!

Our annual divisional Skate to Cure is scheduled for the Friday after DCON! Unfortunately, it’s after my term ends because there was no available time in March, but March is a pretty packed month, so lettuce get a head start and raise money for the PNW District Project at the very beginning of the next service year! Pay $10 for admission and skate rental.

Say you’re a part of Key Club.

CONGRATS! You just donated $5 to the PNW District Project!

WORDS FRO 2016-2017 CONV HEY PNW KEY CLUBBERS!

It is less than a month until we meet again. We have waited all year and are all finishing strong towards the end of our term. Without you guys, District Convention would not exist. Without you guys, I would not have been motivated to plan the biggest event of the year! I thank you all for contributing to my Key Club experience in 2016-17. At DCON, you should expect a new schedule, a new venue, and a new meet and greet! Be prepared to bring your firey spirit and hug me signs, and don’t be afraid to meet people while learning about service and leadership during convention. I hope that Portland, OR will serve you well and that you will enjoy the sights around town. If you see me around the convention center, please stop me and say hi!  -Amy Hung 2016-2017 Convention Chair

Hey Key Clubbers, how do you feel?

By the end of DCON I guarantee that you will be sick of that phrase. It's alright though, because once next year comes around, you'll repeat the same cycle of love-hate relationship with "how do you feel". Anyway, in all serious I hope that you know who I am! I'm Jonah one of your convention aides in the process of creating the best DCON ever. Hopefully Ashley has done a good job explaining DCON to you, so I'll keep what I'm going to say to a minimum. As cliché as it may sound, DCON was the turning point in my Key Club life. The wind in my sails, the fuel in the engine. Here you will find the beating heart of Key Club (which coincidentally contains you too!). You may be intimidated, a little out of depth, or completely comfortable, but don't be afraid to let shouts out, smile, laugh, and hug people! No seriously, hug people. I can't draw for my life, so my best hug me signs are from stealing. Remember that it only takes one for the chain to start. We can't have spirit with no one participating. Step up and make your division proud! (Although 28 is going to win the spirit stick this year ha ha). This weekend is one for making memories, for learning new things, making new friends, but most importantly to smile and enjoy the culmination of a Key Club year as you enter a new one. There is so much to say, but when it comes down to it, remember to smile, laugh, and have fun! Be prepared to be inspired, and form friendships that will last you years. PS if you ever want to find me, I'll be floating around! People tell me I'm easy to talk to so hit me up!

OM YOUR VENTION TEAM Hey Division 32! Wow, can you believe District Convention is only three weeks away? I hope you’re all as excited as I am to travel down to Portland and learn about service, grow leadership skills, make new friends, and more. With that said, I want to make sure that you guys have a fun and stress-free time, so here are 5 tips to make your DCON experience as amazing as possible!

BRING FOOD. Lots of food. You’re going to be SUPER hungry at night after Caucusing and the Governor’s Ball. Do yaself a favor and bring a ton of snacks. You won’t be able to leave your room after curfew, so stock up on chips, cookies, juice, bread (toast?), Cheez-Its, Oreos, rice, etc. You’ll thank me later!! Early bird gets the...breakfast? This year, continental breakfast will be available Saturday morning from 6:00 am - 7:45 am at the Convention Center, so wake up early if you want to grab some yummy food to start off your day! Stay hydrated/don’t be thirsty. Running around from workshop to workshop and cheering in spirit battles will tire you out pretty quickly. Bring a refillable water bottle or one of those 24-packs of water from Costco to share with your roommates. On another note…don’t be thirsty, y’all… No mixing!!! Wear comfy shoes. Or bring an extra pair to change into. Just do it. Especially for the Governor’s Ball. Please please please wear shoes that you know you’ll be able to walk in! You’ll be going up and down stairs, through downtown streets, and riding public transportation. And finally...meet new people! DCON is the perfect opportunity for you to connect with Key Clubbers from all around the PNW and form new bonds within your own division. I know that for those of you who are freshmen or first-time attendees, it can seem a bit intimidating. But the best part of DCON comes from making memories with new friends. Trust me when I say that everyone is super friendly and welcoming. So, don’t be afraid to play icebreakers, be a little silly, and be open to meeting new people! And that’s it! If you keep these 5 things in mind, you’re sure to have a pretty great time. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message on Facebook or email. Can’t wait to see you at the 68th Annual District Convention! (I’ll be the really short one running around, probably with a coffee in my hand.) Love, Vivia Zhu 2016-2017 Convention Aide

THANK YOU FOR READING FOR ONE LAST TIME! WINTER BOARD 2016  WINTER BOARD 2017

Good luck Tera and Yuri! You’re in for a unique, inexplicable, but rewarding year ahead. This month’s cover was inspired by my year reflection. One of the big things I took away from my term was to follow your head and your heart. This path represents the path you’re taking right now during your Key Club days and it’s up to YOU how you want your “Key Club path” to end up. Make the best of your walk, run, stroll, or crawl on the path because it’ll end sooner than you think.
