वह आदमी, जो अल्प तवराम में घर लौट रहा है उसका स्वागि कर रही हैं दोनों पगडांतन्डयों के बीच पड़ी कातहरों की गतलया​ां तजनके बीच की दूररयों में वह तगरा है उसकी पररत्यक्त देह की रे ि हारे गये तपछले युद्ध में जले रोशनी के खम्बो के नीचे कागजों की राख वह आदमी, जो अल्प तवराम में घर लौटा है उदासी के उस जुलूस की िरह है जो ददफ के अलावा कु छ नहीं छोड़िा कातहरों की एक गली दो हजार साल से उजाड़ है जो सूखे दरख्िों और आदतमयों की तमट्टी में तमली हतियों के ठां सी हुई एक नदी सी महसूस होिी है तबल्कु ल वैसे ही, जैसे कक तजन्दगी मौि सी लगा करिी है 26

वह आदमी, जो अल्प तवराम में घर लौटा है तनराशा वाली कातहरों की एक सड़क के समान है तजनके भीिर एक हारी हुई जांग नाच रही है खून और लाशों पर धांसिे पा​ांवों के साथ मृि कदल में रहिे हैं अखबार की खबरों की िरह वह आदमी, जो अल्प तवराम में घर लौटा है दो शहरों के बीच हाथ र्ै ला कर दृतष्ट मा​ांग रहा है दृतष्ट मा​ांग रहा है दो शहरों के बीच र्ै ले हाथ में, रे ि और हवाओं पर बनीं वक्त की खींची रे खाओं के साथ वह आदमी, जो अल्प तवराम में घर लौटा है "आतखरकार ककिने युद्ध और चातहये?"

बमबारी की प्रतिछतवया​ां चौराहे पर झील के हाथ जैसे तचकने र्ु टपाथों पर बमबारी हो रही है. मैंने एक बच्चे को देखा उसका दोष यही कक वह बेगुनाह था तभखारी और पागल की तमलीजुली छतव वाला बतहष्कृ ि बड़े वगफ द्वारा चौराहे की एक दुकान में एक स्त्री प्रवेश कर रही है उसके कदम हवा के थपेड़ों से ज्यादा िेज थे, उसने दुकानदार से बाि की, और उसने उसे सौंप कदया, उसकी अलमाररयों में से, उसके पालने में एक रोिा हुआ बच्चा। वह बच्चे को दूध तपलाने के तलए बैठ गई उस वक्त दूकानदार अपनी घड़ी देख रहा था उसने बच्चे को स्त्री के हाथों से छीन तलया, उस स्त्री ने आतखरी बचा हुआ तसक्का कदखाया 31

Bombed Images In the square, On the pavements that were As smooth as a hand of a lake, I saw a child.

He was defused of his innocence, And he was a mixture of a scattered image, Comprised of a beggar, A maniac, And an outcaste.

In the bigger square, There was a lady entering a shop, Her steps were faster than the pulses of the wind, She talked to the shop keeper, And he handed her, Out of his shelves, A crying baby in his cradle.

In the huge square, The outcaste child was walking, As the lady was rushing, And they collided, They exploded, To cover the square pavements, With hot blood, That sooner got frozen!

छोड़े हुए शहर का नक्शा वह लड़का लौटेगा, अपने पड़ोस में रहने वाली लड़की का घर खोजिे हुए उसे लड़की की बालकनी में तसर्फ सूखे गुलाब तमलेंगे वह दरवाजा खटखटायेगा कोई जवाब नहीं तमलेगा, तसवाय एक सोिी हुई चमगादड़ के जो उसे मौि का इतिहास बिाएगी का​ांिीट के जांगलों द्वारा र्ैं के गए रां गों के बावजूद वह खोजेगा मकान के इदफ तगदफ की गतलयों में प्यार के तचह्नों को, जो कभी दरख्िों के िनों पर खुदे थे शायद अब भी हों आांखों की तनराशा सूनी दहलीज पर आकर सो जायेगी वह उस दरवाजे की िरर् बढ़ेगा, जो उसे इस भूल भुलैय्या से बाहर तनकालेगा लेककन वह बचने का पासवडफ ही खो जायेगा और प्रतिमा में िब्दील हो जायेगा 39

Despite of the shades thrown by the concrete forests, he shall search roads around the house.

The signs of love, they once engraved in tree trunks, might be still there.

Despair shall sleep in his eyes on the abandoned thresholds, as he was looking for the gates leading him out of this labyrinth.

But he forgets the password of survival, and becomes a statue in a legend.
