Good Evening, and welcome all to Ashton Town AFC, for this amazing annual Joseph's Goal, Latics Legends game. Last year's game was a fantastic affair when I liased closely with Arjan De Zeeuw's good friend Marco Miltenburg, to fly in an amazing team from Holland full of Dutch Internationals, and captained by Wigan's voted greatest ever player Arjan De Zeeuw himself. The whole experience was amazing, and I can't thank the Dutch enough for coming over and helping to raise an amazing ÂŁ11,500 for Joseph's Goal. The only thing that the Dutch was not happy with was the result, and the main point of conversation just that night at the aftee party was when can they come back and have a replay! Marco has worked wonders again by rounding up a simply amazing team. When the likes of Vanenburg and Charisteas agree to come, you know your game has gone to another level, all be it the latter is a Greek ; ) For myself and Paul Kendrick every year it has been harder and harder to think of how to make this event more special as regards Latics Legends, and only in my wildest dreams could I dream about putting the Three Amigos back on the pitch together for one last time, and if it was possible it would really be the ultimate feat. As a life long Latics fan there were two monumental moments for me as a child, when both times I ran with excitement to tell my dear late mother that something very special was happening at my beloved club. First up was Mr Whelan's takeover, and the second was that moment in July 1995 when we announced the arrival of the Three Amigos. It was simply not heard of back then to sign a foriegn player at Wigans level, nevermind three! To get these back together again is going to be simply unbelievable, and something so special for Joseph's Goal. PROGRAMME SPONSOR: WWW.DELIVERYNETWORKEXPERTS.CO.UK

This years game has taken me to another level. I have been face to face with Mr Whelan in his office, and the newly appointed Mayor of Manchester ask for my mobile number. As much as this all feels surreal, I hope and trust as Wiganers we all turn out in numbers to supports this great charity again. I am very humbled and blessed to be a trustee of Joseph's Goal, and be in a position to be able to help and have an affect on not just Joe's life, but all with NKH. In just the small time that I have been involved I have seen so much progression, and hearing the words that they are that little bit closer to a cure, or at least to something that will help Joe's and other little ones lives is simply amazing to hear, and I can only imagine what that means to Paul and Emma, and the other parents out there whose families are affected by NKH. Lastly., May the best team win, and may you all have a wonderful evening, watching some quite remarkable footballing talents from around the world, all whom amazingly have given up their own time to be with you at little Ashton Town today. Thank you all, Mark Club Chairman Ashton Town AFC & Latics Mon @northernpromise PROGRAMME SPONSOR: WWW.DELIVERYNETWORKEXPERTS.CO.UK

Roberto Martinez: Roberto is a Spanish professional footballer who was brought to Wigan Athletic in 1995 by Dave Whelan and was one of the 'three amigo's" at the club. Martinez returned to Wigan Athletic as manager in 2009, in which his Latics side famously shocked the world with the FA Cup win in 2013 against Manchester City. Martinez is currently managing at international level with Belgium. JesĂşs Seba: JesĂşs came to Wigan as one of the 'Three Amigos', alongside Martinez and Diaz, and will be reuniting with his Spanish compatriots for the first time since 1995 at Ashton Town. Seba played most of his career as a forward, and represented Spain at under-21 level. Isidro Diaz: Izzy was the third member of the 'Three Amigo's', who was influential during his time with the Latics, helping Wigan to their Third Division Title in 1997 most notably. Diaz makes up 'The Three Amigo's', reuniting on a football pitch for one last time, an image that Wigan fans thought they'd only ever see in their dreams. Graham Barrow: Graham is a former Wigan Athletic captain, who was known for playing as a hard man in midfield, and his passionate performances for the club. Barrow made 212 appearances for the club in his playing days, and is still involved at the Latics on this day as part of the coaching team. Graeme Jones: Graeme Jones, when mentioned in Wigan, is known as one of the best strikers the club has ever seen. Jones was an instant success at the club, scoring 31 goals in his first season(still a club record). Jones played just shy of 100 games at the club, scoring 44 goals. Graeme Jones has been working as Roberto Martinez's assistant manager since 2007, and is currently at Belgium with him. Nathan Ellington: Nathan Ellington, otherwise known as 'The Duke', was a huge factor in Wigan's rise from the Football League to the Premiership as the striker's goals fired the club to becoming the Football League Division Two champions in 2002-03, and automatic promotion to the Premier League in 2004-05. The Duke scored 59 goals in 134 games, and is still till this day, respected hugely at the club. PROGRAMME SPONSOR: WWW.DELIVERYNETWORKEXPERTS.CO.UK

Graham Lancashire: Lancashire, although his spell at the club was injury plagued, was very impressive and he struck up a prolific partnership with Graeme Jones, in which many fans are relishing to see this great duo back in action at Ashton Town this evening. Kevin Sharp: Kevin Sharp is a left back who moved to Wigan from Leeds United in November 1995 for a ÂŁ100,000 fee, in which he made 217 appearances in six years. Sharp was an ever present figure in Wigan's promotion to Division Two in 1997. Emmerson Boyce : Emmerson Boyce was a nine year servant to the club, famously captaining Wigan to our first major cup in 2013 in our 1-0 shock FA Cup win against Manchester City. Boyce is loved in Wigan, in which even the title legend doesn't do him justice for his services to the club. Stuart Barlow: Stuart Barlow, an FA Cup winner with Everton, played for Wigan in 1998 until 2000. Barlow scored 40 goals for the Latics in 84 games, which is a very respectable scoring record to say the least. Ian Kilford: Killer originally joined the club on loan in 1993 from Nottingham Forest. MIidfielder Kilford made the switch permanent in 1994, making over 200 appearances for the Latics from 1994 to 2002. Paul Scharner: Born in Austria, but converted into a Wiganer, the man of many weird and wonderful hairstyles spent two spells at Wigan Athletic, and in his second, he was part of the FA Cup winning side that shocked the world. Scharner made over 150 appearances for the club and is still a fan favourite many years on. PROGRAMME SPONSOR: WWW.DELIVERYNETWORKEXPERTS.CO.UK

Michael Brown: Michael Brown was a hard-hitting midfielder who made over 50 appearances for the Latics in 2007-09. Brown was recently appointed Manager at Port Vale. John Doolan: Doolan played for Wigan Athletic between 1992 and 1996 and was appointed as Wigan's youth team coach in November 2011. Doolan recently played a part in Graham Barrow's coaching team in his interim spell in charge. Nicky Eaden: Eaden was a full back for Wigan who during a three year spell, helped the Latics win promotion from the then Division Two, and then into the Premiership. Jason Jarrett: Jarrett was a midfield battler who played at the club in 2002 until 2005, and played an influential role in the club's 100 point Division Two League win, and the club's promotion to the Premier League in the 2004-05 season. Peter Atherton: Wigan born defender Peter Atherton made just shy of 150 approaches for the club, and went on to become the Latics youngest ever captain. Recently, Atherton has been coaching at the Wigan Athletic Academy over the past five years, taking charge of the Under 16s, the Under 18s and the Under 21s. Gary Teale: One of the most idolised wingers in the club's history, The Dutch Masters are certainly hoping that he will not tear them apart, like he did time and time again to defences across the Football League and Premier League. Teale made over 150 appearances for the club, and like a few of his team mates on this special night, helped massively in the club's rise to the Premiership. Darren Sheridan: Sheridan began his career at Barnsley, with whom he played in the Premier League in 1997–98. He then spent time at Latics, before moving to fellow Latics Oldham Athletic, before moving to Scotland for three years with Clyde and St Johnstone. Another tough tackler in the heart of the Latics Legends. PROGRAMME SPONSOR: WWW.DELIVERYNETWORKEXPERTS.CO.UK

Joseph’s Goal Charity Match This evening's game between the Latics Legends and the Dutch Masters is the 3rd Joseph's Goal charity match. This time 2 years ago, the Latics Legends hammered a Hollyoaks XI 10-0, thanks to a dazzling display across the board. Roberto Martinez scored the opening goal, before laying on number two for long-time partner-in-crime Graeme Jones. Alan Mahon made it three with a stunning strike, with further efforts from Neil Roberts and Jason Jarrett making the half-time score 5-0. A raft of half-time changes did little to put the Latics Legends off their game, and Sean Clancey - brotherin-law of Peter Crouch - justified his inclusion as a 'ringer' by making it six. An unbelievable solo goal from Nathan Ellington made it a magnificent seven, before Stuart Barlow added a brace, either side of the most popular goal of the night - a stunning volley from skipper Emmerson Boyce. Latics Legends: John Filan, Emmerson Boyce (c), Chris Kirkland, Kevin Sharpe, Mario Melchiot, Roberto Martinez, Alan Mahon, Jason Jarrett, Graeme Jones, Neil Roberts, Nathan Ellington. Subs: Eric Nixon, Stuart Barlow, David Lowe, Neil Rimmer, Gareth Whalley, Ray Woods, Sean Clancey. @plattyphoto PROGRAMME SPONSOR: WWW.DELIVERYNETWORKEXPERTS.CO.UK

Last year the Dutch where firmly in it to win it but came unstuck with a 2-0 loss against the Latics Legends. Two goals from Nathan Ellington, one from the spot, was enough to stop the Dutch, but now with a rematch and quite a reshuffle, it’s looking like it will be a keenly fought and wholly entertaining fixture. Arjan De Zeeuw " Its an honor to come back and play the rematch for Joseph's goal. Great town, great club, and great charity. After the Dutch Masters 2-0 defeat last year, its now time to take the win to the Netherlands. Make sure you are there as this game should not be missed. Its great coming back over to play against my old pals. Even better beating them this time!" Isidro Diaz (right) " I am so excited to come back to Wigan. I really appreciate the efforts of Mark to get me, and I am counting down the days to come."

JesĂşs Seba (below) " It will be fantastic to be back together in Wigan again. The pleasure is for us. It is a dream for us to see all the people of Wigan again." Diaz was found at Club Deportivo Laredo in the third tier in Spain as a Manager of their youth team. Whilst Seba was found at Spanish second division club MirandĂŠs where he is Chief Scout.

Normally I write this thanks and start with all the sponsors, and helpers whom help me put on this gathering of footballing greats. However there is maybe one whom I should thank first, the one who gets the brunt of everything, which is generally a few months of me running around 24/7 and transfixed on one date. So thank you to my dear partner Adele, for basically coping with me for having my phone simply attached to my hand for weeks gone by : ) Of course then it is thanks to the following sponsors, whom without their backing this game simply wouldn't be able to take place tonight -
