ASIAN FILM AWARDS ACADEMY
The Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), a non-profit organisation, was founded by Busan, Hong Kong and Tokyo International Film Festivals with the shared goal of celebrating excellence in Asian cinema. Aiming to promote and recognise Asian films and its talents, AFAA highlights, strengthens and develops Asian film industry through the annual Asian Film Awards and several year-round initiatives.
Our year-round events and programmes are held with the objectives to promote Asian films to a wider audience, expand the film market within Asia, and build and sustain connections among Hong Kong and international film professional. Masterclass Series – in conversation with filmmakers, Journey to the Fest –Student Visit to International Film Festivals, Asian Cinerama – Film Roadshow, and Young Film Professionals Programme – overseas training and work-placement, are examples of our year-round programmes. These programmes could not have held successfully without the financial support of the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK), formerly known as Create Hong Kong, and Film Development Fund (FDF) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government. The AFAA has worked to promote, educate, inform and develop knowledge, skills and interest in Asian cinema among the industry, students and audiences in Asia and beyond with the support of film festivals and cultural organisations.
HONG KONG FILM GALA PRESENTATION
The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation, presented by the Asian Film Awards Academy, with the financial support from the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, formerly known as Create Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Film Development Fund, is a touring film programme that showcases the exceptional creative talents of Hong Kong filmmakers to diverse audiences across different regions. Our mission is to establish strong relations and bring together film professionals from ASEAN countries and Hong Kong for an in-depth discussion of the art of cinema and collaboration. Since 2021, we have been to international cities such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Cambodia and so on.
亚洲 电影大奖学院
亚洲电影大奖学院是由釜山、香港及东京国际电影节共同创立的非牟利机构，旨在对国际展现优秀的亚 洲电影作品。学院致力于推广和表彰亚洲电影及业内人才，每年均会举办亚洲电影大奖及多项活动， 以加强业界發展，并向世界各地宣扬亚洲电影文化。

「香港电影巡礼」由亚洲电影大奖学院主办，致力推动电影和文化 交流，展现香港电影业的魅力及优秀的电影人才，让各个地区的观 众继续探索新世代的香港电影，以推动香港电影业的持续发展。
「香港电影巡礼」举行期间，将提供平台让各地的电影业界与香港 电影人共建更紧密的合作关系，并汇集来自亚洲地区的电影专业人 士与香港电影人深度讨论。自2021年起，亚洲电影大奖学院已在 新加坡、吉隆坡、雅加达、金边、曼谷等多个国际城市举行活动， 让观众一同感受香港电影的感动、创造力及多元性。

The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK), established in June 2024 and formerly known as Create Hong Kong, is a dedicated office set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau. It provides one-stop services and support to the cultural and creative industries with a mission to foster a conducive environment in Hong Kong to facilitate the development of arts, culture and creative sectors as industries.

The Film Development Fund (FDF) was first set up by the Government in 1999 to support projects conducive to the long-term development of the film industry in Hong Kong. Since 2005, the Government has injected a total of $1.54 billion into FDF to support Hong Kong’s film industry along four strategic directions, namely nurturing talent, enhancing local production, expanding markets and building audience. In the past, FDF has supported a number of film productions and other film-related projects through various film production funding schemes and other film-related project schemes.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Jakarta represents the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in matters between Hong Kong and the ASEAN as a whole. The office promotes Hong Kong’s economic and trade interests in the region. It also handles matters between Hong Kong and four ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines.
The office organises events regularly to promote Hong Kong’s image and culture exchanges, and attract investment by offering support to individual enterprises interested in setting up or expanding their presence in Hong Kong.

CHOW Kam Wing, born in 1972, completed his education at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Following graduation, he initially pursued a career at a 4A advertising agency before shifting gears to join The Film Factory, a film production company. There, he assumed the role of an advertising director, primarily focusing on commercial shoots. For Alice stands as his maiden venture into feature-length filmmaking.

The movie One Night at School describes three groups of totally irrelevant people who accidentally encounter in an abandoned school one night. One group includes five beauties who go there for a livestreaming programme. Several people from a criminal gang are also in the school that night to carry out some revenge action. The last group comprises of two guys who have stolen and stored the dead body of a Singaporean rich man in the school. By taking care of their own matter at the same place at the same time, the three groups unintentionally intertwine and the adventure unfolds.

OUT OF THE SHADOW
While it is a bit of a cliché to hear a director say “we’ll fix it in editing”, there is some truth to the importance of the editing process. THE REMNANT
In The Remnant, the most important location is the laundry shop run by the protagonist, a former triad boss trying to go straight. To build a convincing laundry shop, the production designer usually uses a mood board and research photos as inspirations for the space they want to create. In addition to designing the space, the production designer even has to design props such as the laundry shop’s own plastic bags and receipt template if they appear on screen.
恶人当道
