CPAG
Cerebral Palsy Awareness Group (CPAG), in partnership with the City of Manila and the O ce of Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto, is taking action to make treatment for cerebral palsy patients more accessible to Filipinos. The project, dubbed "Project CPAG," aims to raise awareness about cerebral palsy and to provide assistance to those who are a ected by it.
Cerebral palsy is a neurological disorder that a ects movement and posture. It is caused by damage to the developing brain, often during fetal development or early infancy. The disorder a ects people di erently, with some individuals experiencing mild symptoms, while others may have more severe symptoms. CPAG believes that through increased awareness, people will become more understanding of those with cerebral palsy, and that this will help to remove the stigma that is often associated with the disorder. Adapting the Bobath Approach by a renowned specialist in neuro-developmental treatment and pediatric rehabilitation, Pablo Beelen, Project CPAG's goal is to publish a children's book containing theories and illustrations designed to be reader-friendly and welcoming. The book will serve as an educational tool, providing parents and caregivers with a better understanding of cerebral palsy, and will help to improve the quality of life for children with the disorder.

To help launch the book, CPAG has organized a symposium where speakers will discuss the Bobath method, developmental pediatrics, and PWD rights. The symposium aims to educate people on the importance of early detection and intervention, and how the Bobath method can help children with cerebral palsy reach their full potential.
With its battle cry "Sulong CPAG!" the project hopes to help uplift the lives of CP warriors and their families. The project aims to create a support network for individuals with cerebral palsy, and to help them lead more independent and fulfilling lives. The courtesy call of CPAG to Vice Mayor of Manila Yul Servo Nieto is an important step towards raising awareness about cerebral palsy and improving the lives of those a ected by it. Through this partnership, the project hopes to reach a wider audience and to make a significant impact in the lives of CP warriors and their families. By providing education, resources, and support, CPAG is helping to break down barriers and promote a more inclusive society.
