On March 16, 2023, JCI Manila's GO BIG Training Series presents BOD Primer, a training program that aims to equip its members with skills vital in building and growing their organization. Hosted by Bien Leofando, the event features three distinguished speakers: 2023 Limitless Trainer Prince Datu, 2022 Special Projects Director Andre Bernardo, and 2019 Vice President for Community A airs Professor Lec Toribio.

The BOD Primer covers three essential topics that every JCI chapters’ board of directors must learn: E ective Communication Training: Building a Foundation, JCI Rise, and Member Retention and Activation. These topics aim to help the chapters involved become better communicators, establish a solid foundation for their organization, and create e ective strategies for member recruitment, retention, and activation.

E ective Communication Training: Building a Foundation focuses on developing e ective communication skills that would enable members to articulate their ideas and opinions clearly and persuasively. This training also aims to teach members how to listen actively, how to ask questions, and how to give feedback constructively. It also provides the members with a framework on how to establish their organization's foundation.

JCI Rise and Member Retention and Activation will cover strategies on how to recruit, retain, and activate members. This training will teach the members how to create e ective recruitment and retention plans, how to identify their member's strengths and weaknesses, and how to create programs that would cater to the members' interests and needs.

The BOD Primer is not just a training program; it is an opportunity for participating chapters to learn from the best. The three distinguished speakers have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they are willing to share with the members. Prince Datu, for example, is an accomplished trainer who has conducted various training programs for JCI Manila. Andre Bernardo, on the other hand, is a seasoned JCI director who has held several projects in JCI Manila. Lastly, Professor Lec Toribio is a renowned academic and a respected leader who has been involved in several community development projects.

Attending the BOD Primer would be beneficial for all JCI members, especially those who are holding or planning to hold leadership positions. This training program will help members become better leaders, communicators, and organizers. It will equip them with the skills they need to build a strong foundation for their organization and create e ective programs that would benefit their members and their community.

February is considered as the training month for the Junior Chamber International (JCI) organization in the Philippines, as JCI Manila's Limitless team conducted a total of 18 trainings nationwide.

These trainings were designed to equip JCI members with the necessary skills and knowledge to become e ective leaders and community servants. Here are some of the training details:

On February 7, 2023, RSDD Mark Escay served as the trainer for the JCI History module, which was co-hosted by Las Pinas Waterlily. A total of 14 attendees participated in this training.

The Project Management module was conducted on February 8, 2023, with PD Andre Bernardo as the trainer. This training was co-hosted by JCI Manileña, JCI Makati Princess Urduja, JCI Las Piñas, JCI San Juan Pinaglabanan, JCI Ortigas, JCI Alabang, and JCI Perlas Pasay, and had a total of 80 attendees. On the same day, Prince Datu conducted the JCI Rise module, which also had 80 attendees.

On February 15, 2023, RSDD Mark Escay returned to serve as the trainer for the Protocol module, which had a total of 45 attendees. PD Joseph Gonzalez also conducted the Fundraising module on the same day, with 36 attendees.

Director John Michael Santos conducted the Protocol module on February 16, 2023, which was co-hosted by Macajalar 24k and Cagayan De Oro, with a total of 33 attendees. ND Migi Gabrino and Commissioner William Namoco also conducted the Protocol module on the same day, co-hosted by Legazpi Dawani, Naguena, Labo Niogan, and Naga, with a total of 47 attendees.

On February 24, 2023, Director Shih Hao Hsu conducted the Corporate Social Responsibility module, which was co-hosted by Manileña, Makati Princess Urduja, and Makati, with a total of 28 attendees. Finally, PVP Lec Toribio conducted the Financial Literacy module on February 25, 2023, with a total of 45 attendees.

The trainings provided by JCI Manila's Limitless team were a great opportunity for JCI members to enhance their skills and knowledge on various topics, from JCI history and protocol to project management and financial literacy. The trainings were conducted in various locations nationwide, making it accessible for members from di erent JCI chapters to participate.

JCI Manila has been busy attending various Induction & Turnover ceremonies for the first quarter of 28 chapters across the Philippines. These events mark the start of a new term for the respective JCI chapters and the installation of new o cers who will lead their respective organizations in fulfilling their mission and vision.

One of the chapters where JCI Manila attended an Induction & Turnover ceremony was IloIlo Ilang-ilang. The event was held on December 3, 2022, at District 21 in IloIlo City. JCI Manila was represented by Secretary General Chris Liao and 6 other BOD members along with 8 regular members. The new set of o cers led by President Pauline Ann “Charm” Onday was formally installed during the ceremony.

Another chapter where JCI Manila attended an Induction & Turnover ceremony was JCI Lipa. The event was held on March 4, 2023, at the La Vida Resort in Lipa City. JCI Manila was represented by President Eric Ke and 20 other members. The new set of o cers led by President Reman Eric Recio was formally installed during the ceremony.

JCI Manila also attended the Induction & Turnover ceremony of One Baguio on March 25, 2023. The event was held at the Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza in Baguio City. JCI Manila was represented by Director for National Relations John Michael Santos. The new set of o cers led by President Christian Espiritu for JCI Baguio Inc., President Dheiryl Tombali for JCI Baguio Sunflower and President Trinity Rose Monteras for JCI Las Chicas Del Baguio was formally installed during the ceremony.
